"Today my dog, Whitey, passed away after a battle with heart disease. He has been my companion for 12 years and tears come to my eyes when I think about it. The worst thing is that the day before he passed, he just looked at the sky as if waiting for something. I was sleeping at the academy (team house?) when the news came.
