You have to provide some kind of evidence/proof (screenshots/replays etc.) if you are going to accuse somebody.
Additionally, a supporting comment of what people should be looking for and when will be necessary if you are posting replays/evidence. |
It seems like there are plenty of hackers in GM/high master. I constantly play people with terrible micro and decision making but who possess Code S level game sense. I know of at least 20(perhaps not this season but in recent seasons) who have been completely confirmed through replays or admittance/streaming.
About the stream: Is it just me or is the way he talks really irritating? Somehow it's the most off-putting speech I've ever heard.

I wonder.. if you MH, can you hit cloaked units without detection?

Yeah, he did that really well actually.
I think this problem is more common on the NA servers. I hope Blizzard will fix this nontheless. But remember they can only act if we help by sending hard evidence.
Good initiative

No. not with a maphack at least, thats hacking the games fundamentals, something different altogether

I STILL don't get the reason why ppl are using maphacks, i mean, if you want to improve, maphacks doesn't help (obviously)...
It's not even fun to play with maphacks, since you want a fair and even game, where only skill matters and you try hard to win.
Anyone can explain to me why some ppl hack ?

Ahaha he even has a production tab ingame why would he ever peak in Fog..this is just stupid.

Man, I wish hackers mothers would give them some proper attention so they dont have to seek it online.

TBH it's extremely hard to catch an experienced map hacker in sc2, everything can be easily dismissed as good play if it's done correctly.

Why would you do that? haha that would be kind of Borderline-Syndrom^^

Ban those fucking cheaters
|
is blizzard as active in banning maphackers in sc2 like the hackers in wow?
|
Shareholders come first. The time and money to implement antihack programs, or actually investigate thoroughly into replays, cuts into their bottom line. I don't condone hacking, and I despise Blizzard for being this lenient, but it's the world of business. If someone hacks, it's irrelevant to them. Customers have paid for their account, and extreme displeasure from them is irrelevant to Blizzard after they have their money. Compared to WOW, people paid a monthly subscription. When I played WOW, admins were around constantly. If you have hackers running rampant in WOW like they do in SC2, I think people would be canceling subscriptions very quickly.
Exact reason I will not be purchasing a Blizzard product, including D3. They have put customer satisfaction on the very bottom of their priorities with extreme piracy measures, lack of features as well as moderation.

Haha I played this guy last night and he was so blatantly hacking it was a joke. He has a lot of games too...
Probe was sent directly to my base before pylon on tal darim. Then he's perfectly ready for banshee which was the most suspicious thing. I even msgd him after game to which he said my play was "so obvious"
Omfg just finished reading the thread, sick vods, if I were that awful I'd probably hack too.

I always take "proof" with a grain of salt, seeing as other than visual evidence, nothing else is present. Anywho, if they hack, hope they're banned but I won't raise my pitchfork with the mob just yet.

Not sure what other evidence you'd want. What other proof is there to spot a maphack? Audio?

One season I took my ladder points to this guy and offered to trade them for honor and a future with a hot wife and many children. He said ladder points are for noobs. Then he sold me a map hacker.

They already do permaban accounts for hacking. Problem is, the hacking community is stronger than ever and not only Blizzard but many companies would have to turn rogue on the law in order to effectively search for hackers across Battle.net. The methods hackers use to keep themselves undetected are really, really solid.
I've heard that scanning memory is one way for Blizzard to spot hacks that are not injected into the executable file, but that's a breach of privacy and thus, is illegal.

Since BW I've seen my share of funky games where someone just knows what the other player is doing, sees everything coming and 100% was not hacking (playing chaos on iccup), so seeing this here and there isn't surprising.
