I work at Team Legion and we are partnered with ZeNEX so some little things may be a bit biased, but overall I'm really just a fan ^^
Team ZeNEX
Virgil created and approves of this photo
Introduction
Team ZeNEX was originally formed as a merger between two of the biggest clans in korean starcraft II, NEX and Zenith. Back in the "early days" of GSL, NEX and Zenith had many top tier players in the GSL, such as San, Kyrix, and many others.
Over the past months, ZeNEX has been seen as a bit of a "farm team" by many others, including other korean pro teams. They have had 12 players leave to join other top top top teams since their existence. 12!! This just shows how strong their system is at the ZeNEX house, and how good they are at producing talent. Some of these players most avid starcraft fans will be familiar with. Puzzle, CoCa, Byun, Hack, Taeja, and Genius to name a few.
GSTL 2012 Season 2 is upon us, and ZeNEX is looking strong to take the top spot. ZeNEX has been pretty much destroying in the KSL Team league, taking 2nd place in the regular season, securing at least a top 3 finish. They have been the "surprise" team, but their consistent results in the KSL should change that.
Team ZeNEX was famous for looking for "The Thing" and their thread on Team Liquid got thousands of hits and over 400 replies. They recently have found "the thing" in their partnership with Team Legion creating stability, and helping their presence worldwide.
While these things I mentioned are reasons in their own that ZeNEX is a clear team to beat in GSTL Season 2, its their top tier list of players that really shows their strength.
ZeNEX Manager
Heewon Yun
Look at that picture. Look at your keyboard. Look back at that picture. Now back at your keyboard. Type the first way to describe the picture that comes to your mind. I'll go first. "Nerd Baller." Heewon Yun is a complete boss. He has been extremely cool under pressure in team leagues, and is the best looking manager out there. Just look how well dressed he is.
Heewon Yun is ZeNEX's star manager. He has shown his managerial prowess throughout the life of ZeNEX, constantly making tough calls in leagues such as the GSTL or the KSL Team League, and making the right ones.
Heewon Yun is also known for being able to scout out and produce talent. He has shown this ability consistently, being the talent factory of the Korean pro teams. This new wave of ZeNEX players are the current talent pool which is a force to be reckoned with.
ZeNEX Players
The Terran front line
The Terrans on ZeNEX are the front line of ZeNEX, with strong players to look out for!
Jjun
ZeNEX's terran line up currently can be considered their "Front line". They may not have the star potential per sei of their Terran or Zerg line ups, but they have the skill to take out any player on any given day. Jjun is arguably leading their terran charge with his proven strong play. He recently qualified for last season's code A, qualifying over RagnaroK. Last season's GSTL he also impresively beat BoxeR, Alicia, and Ryung from SlayerS.
Fun facts: Jjun played in the first broadcasted Starcraft II match on OGN against MarineKing at the WCG Korean national finals. Jjun is pronounced "Joon". He embodies the Team ZeNEX spirit with crazy proxy strategies to play mindgames with his opponents.
Cutter
Oh Cutter. Famous for being the strongest player in Starcraft II, he utilizes his muscular force to create an absolute monster on Starcraft II. He often participates in tournaments such as the ESV Korean Weekly, and has participated for ZeNEX in tournaments such as the IPL Team Arena Challenge. He can be a bit of a wild card, so look out to see if he can transfer his brutal force to strength in Starcraft!
Fun facts: Cutter is the strongest person in the Starcraft II scene, and legend has it he won against Khaldor in a boxing match.
Harrier
While ZeNEXHarrier may be lacking in pictures all over the interweb, he is certainly not lacking in skill. He recently qualified for Code A for the 3rd season of 2012 GSL. While at first glance, many more casual fans may not see qualifying for the first round of Code A as impressive, but let me explain why qualifying for Code A is such an impressive feat. DongRaeGu, considered by many to be considered to be the best zerg in the world, NEVER qualified for Code A. DRG went through the preliminary rounds several times in his attempts to make Code A, but he was stuck only owning up in the GSTL. Yes. The former GSL Code S champion NEVER qualified for Code A.(apparently he did qualify one time, my bad, but besides the point :/) And ZeNEXHarrier did, and his run wasn't exactly an "easy" run. He had to take out top player San, SocceR, and then asd, who was very recently in Code S. If that's not enough reason to root for Harrier, he is also a fighter jet used all over the world. So not only can he USE Banshees, he can also take them out with his fighter jet skills.
Fun facts: Harrier used to play for SlayerS before joining the most gosu team out there.
RyoO
ZeNEXRyoO is the braniac of the bunch. He not only has great mechanics, but he uses his smarts to his advantage, using clever builds to annihilate his opponents. He is able to use his knowledge of his opponent, the map, and the matchup to create specifically tailored builds for his matches. He has used these strategies in the KSL Team League, beating players such as finale and Keen.
Fun facts: RyoO goes to the top private university in Korea, Yonsei University. He goes with his good friend ShinyStar from the clan IOv. He is fluent in English, after living in Australia in New Zealand for 11 years, so naturally he should be a foreign favorite. (NOTE: Fans go support this guy, and he will communicate back his korean gosuness!)
Sparta
Obligatory: THIS IS SPARTA. How many people have the guts to name themselves after the most prolific warrior Greek city state? 1, and THIS player IS SPARTA. (sorry, I had to) Not only is he brave enough to name himself after Sparta, he is strong enough to back it up and walk the walk. He has shown himself in tournaments such as the Korean Weekly, and he has consistently proven himself to be a beast. In the KSL Team League, he recently proved his worth against MVP beating TAiLS, Monster, and Sniper.
Fun facts: He does not enjoy the "normal" idea of fun, he just enjoys being an ancient Greek warrior and toppling over his opponents.
The Protoss "Cybernetic" Core
The protoss are the core of ZeNEX's lineup, not the aces of the lineup, but the players who will take a few games at least in a team league, and will provide meat for their line up.
Mentalist
Mentalist's name really hits the spot. He is really bright in the head, going to a good university before having to drop out due to financial reasons, and realized he could use his brain to play Starcraft II. Mentalist is extremely friendly with the foreign community, having played for Infinity Seven in the past, and plays in Playhem Dailies consistently.
In the FXOpen Korean KOTH Week 15, he was able to defeat top gamers, such as SuperNoVa, Golden, Jim, and asd.
Fun facts: He plays a rigid 12 hours a day schedule, from 2pm to 2am, without failure of domination.
TREME
The man. The cool man. The coolest man. The man with the glasses. Need I say more? I will anyways. TREME is an absolute MONSTER. He wears awesome CAPS lock on his name and has sweet glasses.
Not only is he a complete boss, but he is a fantastic Starcraft II player. He may be arguably the ace for their protoss lineup, along with Avenge. He beat notable players in the GSTL Season 1 such as TheStC, NaDa, and fOrGG. He has been playing in the Korean Weekly matches, and has been showing some top notch skill.
Fun facts: He is known as the most cool professional starcraft player out there.
YangSongE
Formerly known as Mushroom, YangSongE is a bit of an unknown even to some of the most avid fans of the korean scene. Despite this, he is still a part of ZeNEX, and thus a part of the most gosu team in the Starcraft II scene. Through the transitive property of gosu-ness he is one of the most gosu players in Starcraft II. Yeah, you might not be convinced right now that he's a top player, but just think: He used to be a mushroom, and he was good enough to be on the best (maybe arguably) Korean Starcraft II team out there. Picture how good he will be with a more "manly" name.
Fun facts: Not many YET for YangSongE, but watch out for him!
Avenge
Don't let his old name, "SuZy" mistake you for someone without strong and aggressive play. Along with TREME he is the ace of the protoss lineup, and a force to be reckoned with. Don't expect to win against Avenge after beating a ZeNEX player, as he will Avenge them from the dead.
Avenge has a strong list of results throughout his career. He made it to the semi finals of Teamliquid's own map contest, and has beaten IdrA in Code A.
Fun facts: Has used a lot of IDs throughout his career.
The Zerg "Overlords"
The Zergs are the aces of ZeNEX's lineup, the people at the end of the lineup who will finish off their opponents. With their 2 aces in Line and Life, opponents will need to practice heavily against Zerg to stand a chance to keep their tournament Life alive.
Kyrix
Did you follow the "early" days of Starcraft II? If the answer to that question was yes, you have probably heard of Kyrix. An absolutely dominating force of the first few GSL seasons. He got as good as top 8 in Code S.
Yeah, some may say that was then, but how good is he now? The answer to that is that nobody knows. Not even Kyrix himself. But there is one thing that we can be sure about. He has the potential to reach that high again, but we just need to watch out for the return of the Kyrix!
Fun facts: Kyrix was one of the pioneers of baneling agression
Pet
After Byun and his Pet left ZeNEX there was a deep longing in the house for a new team Pet, and they found it with ZeNEXPet.
Pet has been proving himself as of late in team leagues such as the KSL, and has been dominating "Smaller" tournaments such as the ESV Korean Weekly, and the Playhem dailies. Overall, while you may not know his name, he is sure to show his skill in the upcoming GSTL.
Fun facts: Pet is a charismatic core of their team house atmosphere.
Line
The man, the hero, the legend. Stand in Line to meet ZeNEXLine! Also known as SuHoSin, he is famous for debuting the playstyle of zergling-mutalisk in the GSL Super Tournament when he made it to the top 8.
Line recently made it to Code S in the recent up and down matches, with impressive roach based agression. As the only current ZeNEX representative in Code S, he will try his hardest to do his legendary team proud, and be the Guardian of their throne. Not only will he be their Code S representative, he is also one of their 2 aces along with Life in team league matches.
UPDATE, BREAKING NEWS:
Line recently had a run in with TMZ... check below for more juicy details!

Fun facts:Line is also known as SuHoSin or guardian. He is a complete class act.
Life
The ace player of ZeNEX. ZeNEXLife. He will revive the Life of ZeNEX as a dominate force in the GSTL. He is an absolute Monster in weekly matches. His list of accomplishments is so long that one could use the famous "B Word" on him. Yes I said it, Life is the Weekly Bonwa. They include: 1nd iCCup weekly #4, 1st iCCup weekly #8, 4th place in the Arena Of Legends, Team Ace Invitational, all killing ReIGN in IPL TaC 2, 3rd Place in Iron Squid, 1st place in EWM Season 2 Finals and 1st in EWM Season 2 Week 5, 1st place KSL Week 3 Day 4, 1st Place ESV Weekly #6, and 1st place in the second IronSquid qualifier. That was a mouthful.
If for whatever reason that laundry list of results isn't enough to assure you that he is a Monster, I don't know what you consider a Monster.
Fun facts: Life has been rank #1 in GM for quite awhile now.
In Conclusion
I just told you how good ZeNEX's players are, and how good they are as a team. Unfortunately they do not have the fan support or the sponsorship support of the other korean teams, with their only sponsor being Razer through the Team Legion partnership. What we need from you is to support them by sending them friendly messages on twitter, and cheer them on for their matches in the GSTL. Their twitter accounts are in the spoiler below.
