What you don't realize is that reactors don't exist in BW, massable terran units are even more massable in SC2. They probably had a goliath similar to BW in early builds but realized the easy spammming of this very polyvalent unit was too much. The obvious answer is to allow only tech lab factories to produce goliaths but then you have to make it stronger, bigger, cost more supplies, less polyvalent to compensate...and the Thor was born. With the Warhound, they seem to take a step back and try to make a Thor more goliathy, but I don't know if there's a place for such a unit in SC2. If I absolutely need a tech lab to make them, why not make tanks or marauders ? Maybe they're not as polyvalent but they have so much power... | ||

I think roaches are fine, but I think the Warhound should be in the game over the thor. Heck, I don't think it should require a tech lab, if it is possible to balance it that way. Give terran the ability to super macro as mech. | ||
