Idra is #1 in GM NA and top 100 in Krn GMs. Idra has winnings well above her. She might have potiential but you can say that about anyone. For now at least: Idra best American player huk is better... Huk's not american...... Anyways She looks to be a force to be reckoned with in the future if she is playing like this now. got a lot of potential. HuK IS American. He has dual citizenship in the United States and Canada. He has lived in the United States before too. I have never heard of her nor have I been following IPL this weekend. I am happy to see her doing well and make a name of herself. She is very impressive. he refers to himself as Canadian over American I could care less what he wants to be. I'm just spreading information. Yes of course what YOU care about and think is the only thing that is important right? ... Please get over yourself and realize you are an insignificant little ant that has no say in anything. lol. All I meant was to give information that HuK has a dual citizenship. I'm not even trying to be bias by saying he is 100% American. When I said I didn't care what he wanted to be. It was meant that it doesn't matter if he wanted to consider himself either of the two. You need to chill out.
Fair enough, my apologies. I should know better then to post when I'm in a bad mood.

wtf, she started playing in april 2011??? what am I doing with my time? all the best to her in the future!

So impressed by those results and by her play vs OZ, I have no idea what transgender means atm but I don't care a bit, let people be what they want to be no matter what! I used to be a narrow-minded idiot during my teen years (long time ago!), something that I regret big-time these days.
Wish her all the luck in the world!
Cheers

Believe it or not, I had a humanities class about gender. Kate Bourstein wrote a lot about this subject and according to her, gender is a category assigned to you by society. Our vision of both Male and Female are superfluous because they do not exist by themselves in nature.
For instance, if you see a dog bark, you would see this bark as "dog-ness" but there is nothing in nature that makes a man a man and a woman a woman. You may argue that a man must be strong and a woman must be thin and seductive but remember that these are features valued by your society. There are in fact other societies that value a bigger women or female dominance.
For this reason, Bourstein argues that it is "sex" that characterises truly a person. Human beings in their purest form have either a penis or a vagina and to describe oneself as male, female and/or transgender is simply branding oneself with useless labels.
For Scarlett and many people who are perhaps born with an extra chromosome or feel they are of another "gender", they have every right to undergo surgery and live their life to the fullest. A funny thing to note is that Bourstein claims that she has no gender. According to her, she is neither male or female.

I'm just curious since I've never read her work, what does Bourstein think about societies outside of those governed by humans? There are surely delineations between different genders in the animal kingdom, such as in bee colonies, and even outside of that. Does she even address this?
Also, do you know what being born with "an extra chromosome" means? It doesn't have anything to do with gender identity.

Sounds the like ideas of a radical feminist. We've labeled everything else in existence, why wouldn't we label ourselves and distinguish our differences that way? But I guess she probably doesn't acknowledge there are differences, history surely turned out the way it did coincidentally.

in sc2 it should not matter if someone is male female or a tree, it should matter if she is zerg, protoss or terran in fact she is a ZERG player not a FEMALE because thats should not care to find her play amazing! gogo scarlett !

sure huk is american ... hes not us but canada is part of america ... (also i think he is half us half canadian so ...even that point he IS the best american player)
also for the us guys says american isnt north american, your wrong, american is canada us and mexico what you guys mean is us american you cant tell the whole continent be yours xD
scarlett is american (canada) huk is american (canada AND us) its stubborn to say it counts where you was born, if yiour both parents are us but you are born on holiday in switzerland where you are 5 days then your swiss ? no damn your american ! and so is huk he is both because one parent is us one is canadian he lived half there half there where is the problem guys
so back to the topic scarlett soon 2nd best american! behind huk and idra at the moment still IS the 2nd best american

hes a man u cant redefine ur gender no matter how much body mutilation you do, that being said you can look and act like a women although u never will become one. A y chromosone isn't a mistake. that being said he's clearly a very skilled an talented player. I posted this here because i'd rather not be banned

Methinks you have not fully considered the implications of gender as a purely chromosomal distinction.

I don't know anything about her... was she born a man? Or the other way around? Anyway, if she was born a man...
Say she would be a swimmer or a trackrunner or whatever in the Olympics - would she be allowed to participate in women's championships? Something tells me that if this was possible - alot of women speed records would have been broken.
If yes: then she's a female gamer If no: then she's a male gamer.
Please note that I respect everyone equally and I have nothing against anyone. I do find this discussion quite interesting though,

Just once I'd like to read an interview with Scarlett where the community response was focused on her play. She's incredibly talented and I loved watching her vs Phoenix in the Eclypsia Colosseum. It's really a damn shame about what happened with EC =/
Anyone know if she's still going to try to get to Korea?
