at last WCG the highest prize pool was given to a mobile game, I know it sounds ridicouless but WCG simply been shit for such a long time, them making a decision like this doesn't surprise me, because they haven't done anything but mistakes in all their years - also, look at the games they had nominated before this as their games, like skyrim wtf?? skyrim was up for voting to a eSport tournament, a game without any multi-player.

Yes this has been a rumor around for weeks in Chinese scene, but we didn't have a solid confirmation on that, till now.

That WCG guy has pretty horrible and bad grammar / sentence structure. It's kind of like a mix between a normal person and Yoda, except in that it is not very parseable.

Last few years wcg was strugling and last year more than before.
SO why are people so suprised about this ? why so many troll joke comments ? I thought that TL comunity is more mature or whatever but by the comments it doesnt look like

The WCG was pretty crappy in 2011, they didn't made qualifiers for important countries like finland, spain, USA (on CS), denmark, etc. It doesn't really surprises me, I don't care that much even tho I'm mostly a CS player/fan. The tournament was really poor last year, the CS scene was ready to stop considering it a "major" like it was years ago.
I don't think this will have much impact when it comes to CS, but I hope its a joke because we would be losing another multigaming tournament and no one really wants that happening.
PS: their rules where all about promoting Samsung on expenses of the professional teams/players that attended the event, that was pretty lame IMHO, I'm happy that at least we won't see that happening from now on.

Well thankfully this isn't the only major tournament for SC2 and other games.

Back in its heyday WCG was amazing to watch but last year was so bad, stream quality was poor and the overall experience was nothing like it used to be.
I used to get hyped for it but now it's just a small thing compared to the tournaments we have going on, oh well, I'll always remember sitting up to watch the CS 1.6 finals and Brood war ones and big up Apollo for UKs gold there in CnC xD
