Criticism is allowed. Undue flaming is not. Take a second to think your post through before you submit. Bans will be handed out. Should go without saying, but don't link restreams here either.

1. The fan base is young, and doesn't have enough expendable income to support $20 per event. 2. The quality of the product(lag, production, commentators) isn't high enough to justify the cost. 3. The proportion of of the fan base which is lost(see: MLG Arena Restreams). 4. The relative cost per hour of entertainment is too high compared with any major sport, or entertainment source. Compare it to NBA League Pass, or HBO, ect. I don't believe you can charge pay per view type of prices for an emerging "sport" and expect to be successful(unless you are UFC).

Stephano and Polt showed starcraft from the future I felt :-D After that we also watched the first few MLG matches. First, their sound and stream quality was far worse than Assemblies. Also we couldn't watch a lot because MLG started so late (for europeans obviously). So I watched the results on my way home (had to travel about 4 hours to get home) on my cellphone. Today I would like to watch the final 4 matches but 20$ are not worth for those few hours. As a european you can only watch half of the tourney live (due to sleeping schedule) and then they show three matches at the same time. It's like 20$ for a bad-designed tourney schedule where you can only watch half of it while on the other side there are tourneys like Assembly showing a better performance for free. I can hear tyler saying from last sotg that people want everything for free. Also sharing a pass with friends and stuff they suggested. But please consider that people out there don't have the time to watch all weekend long. 20$ for 4 matches to watch sounds like a joke to me. -.- So what you're saying is that it's bad because it doesn't catter to your times. You know if they did then the people in the Americas would get screwed over, and considering the Koreans flying over and the event being in the U.S., I mean it's not hard to understand why the times are the way they are. You get VODs if you pay the money. Now sound and things like that are valid complaints but saying a tournament is badly scheduled because it's not suitable for you is in bad taste. I do agree that they should be able to offer the last day for something like 5-10 dollars for people who only want to watch the finals. I am sure it is not only my concern. And I didn't mean they should change their schedule to give non-americans a chance to watch it. What I mean is: There are people that don't want to watch the whole thing for whatever reason (Sleep, Socializing, responsibilties in life). Those people want to tune in for just a few hours. 20$ is simply too high priced for that!

It makes me think.. why would an organizer who supposedly supports e-sports and its growth would rob so many people of it. Its like commercial money they would get from world wide companies who for sure would pay handsomely to have so much exposure is not enough... But hey.... it must be easier to make a bank account and ask for money than spend effort to get the real big companies and convince them to see the potential of e-sports. Make me see the reason mlg !
