@sundance / MLG
I had to work friday night, and literally slept all day saturday. Is there anyway I can order Sunday for a reduced price? I'm only going to be able to see the 2pm-8pm, so 6 hours of the 80 hours of the event.
Anyway I can get sunday for like lets say 5-10 bucks? thxxx

Good lord you people are naive. But it lagged lol. I had to watch in 480 after I followed ASUS in 1080.
I had it the other way around. ASUS was pretty much skipping/lagging/losing sync while MLG was stable most of the time. It not much of their side of the internet failing but more of mine.
@MLG Vods Anybody notice the 3rd game from HuK vs Ret is missing?

Believe me though, if I had the job I had 3 months ago, I would not have paid $20 for a weekend of games. Its definitely a bit much from a personal perspective, but think of it this way: People pay $10 to watch a movie for 2 hours. They pay $100 to get into Disneyland for 8 hours. $50 for a decent dinner for 2. This really isnt TERRIBLE for a weekend, if you have the time to take it all in.
Think about the costs. Renting that loft in NYC. The accommodations for your staff. The flights for players. Food. The equipment. Holy shit... all that stuff. And you get like say, even a lot, 20,000 people paying for the stream. Think about it. It doesn't work out. The sponsors and other events are still picking up a lot of the slack.
yea cause renting a loft in one of the most expensive cities in ALL of the united states if not ALL of north america was the smart thing to do from the beginning........................................................................ you really going to try to make us feel bad that people dunno how to spend money so we should give them more?
not to mention you have to provide housing for all the players and food, since food and housing in NY is so cheap...................................

Yeah I really don't know what they are doing in NYC if Sundance is talking about being lean and mean in 2012. It seems incredibly wasteful, and the only upside is that Sundance and his frat bros get to play NY Business Man

If one purchased the ticket today, would it still be $20?

The New York offices are legacy from the last MLG CEO who wanted to set them up. Sundance is in the process of relocating them somewhere cheaper (I think he said maybe somewhere back in columbus).
Please stop posting your uninformed opinions. Or at least if you want to hate, find a legitimate reason to be mad, rather than just coming across an idiot.

At least my gold membership will work for regular events ^_< I've got to say that the chat for the PPV is actually for once not mind numbingly painful to read and quiet enjoyable, no big surprise considering most of the trolls are either very young, unemployed or simply to stingy and entitled to feel the need to pay.
yep, everyone who says things you disagree with must be immature, unemployable or stingy. grow up.

Yeah it's not the fact that if your account gets banned for spamming the chat you won't be able to watch what you paid for.

Nice bro, I shut down your argument hardcore and you call me a fanboy.
For the record I have several TL accounts, this one is reserved specifically for pointing out idiots in this thread. This is because there are indeed people like you who get so butthurt that they will look through comment history and find what I am associated with. I am sure you could think of a situation where that might hurt a community member.
Either way, you mad.

So is the yearly MLG membership I purchased a few months back worthless for the winter arena?

Feeling kind of burned on the money I've spent on esports in general at this point.

having paid 20 bucks trusting in what mlg announced i must say i'm kinda disappointed in the streaming, the content is great though
streams have been lagging all weekend on all resolutions
as a european viewer i'm mainly keeping up by watching vod's the next morning. vods were promised to be up instantly, instead hours after broadcast most of the vods weren't online
vods are freezing and stuttering like hell (after preloading), looks like a fps problem
i understand it is most likely a twitch problem, but in the end it's mlg's task to deliver esecially considering the high price
(just in case, i never have problems with other twitch, owned etc streams, several 1080p streams work flawlessly and i watch so many stream everyday trust me, it's not on my end)

well, this is a big joke. I pay 20$ to be able to watch the vods, and when i try to play them on justin.tv they just DO NOT WORK. I get on the forums and apparently quite a few people have this issue. WTG again MLG, yet another logistical fuck-up

Did you honestly expect anything more? Honestly.
At least a lot of the games were good.

I wish you could buy the last day for like 10 bucks or something now
