Didnt look too bad qualitywise, but 480p for 20$, you better come over and serve me drinks for that. Edit: to be honest, i will never ever ever pay for a 480p stream.

So far I have almost zero regrets about my purchase, However I am a little bit unsettled about the fact that so many people are being able to view it for free, I hope the people that actually payed can get some sort of reimbursement or at the very least a discount for the next MLG arena. I don't mean to whine nor am I mad at people for taking advantage of this error but it is rather frustrating to know you essentially donated money to view the same thing that others get to view for free. Oh well, on the bright side at least people who legitimately cant afford it get to watch some of the best Starcraft 2 I've ever seen. They get the first match of everyday for free, and Google Chrome has an add-on which allows you to watch it. It really isn't MLGs fault that these people are using chrome to bypass the PPV system.

I'm not saying that every Arena should be $20, but so far with many amazing games and the production quality with 4 game play streams and an extra for behind the scenes, it was worth it this weekend. I second that. I think the production value, the amount of coverage, and quality of the streams have been well worth the price. Of course it is just by luck that every single game has been absolutely amazing, but it sure makes the price tag seem even less significant. If every MLG was this good, I would pay 20$ every time.

Its MLGs "fault", who elses would it be. People who use chrome? Its the first time ever, that i could watch something for free (didnt do it though, because it lagged too badly - even tho a german was playing at that time) which actually was not supposed to. So, while i dont really know a lot about websiteprogramming, if a simple "browserchoice" can screw your whole PPV-model, well, i guess the webmaster/engineering team should be fired then. Its not like you need to configure stuff or hack into something - its just a normal browser which is pretty common.

Yeah, like I said I'm not to flustered about it however I do hope MLG does address it to some degree even if it is twitches fault. Perhaps instead of reducing the price to a flat fee of $10 next time like they anticipate make that $10 offer exclusive only to the previous buyers of the Winter Arena and keep the price at $20 for the rest of the interested parties making them essentially have to pay for both events if they want to view the next one, of course this could be unfair to anyone who didn't take advantage of the free stream. I'm probably coming off as a bit stingy and by no means do I regret paying my 20 dollars considering its an investment into better production value and players themselves, but I don't like seeing anyone who actually payed getting shafted and having people simply to cheap (not legitimate poor people and people unable to pay online) able to enjoy the same content without supporting the event due to the premise that they actually payed thus avoiding any sort of ads.

It's not MLG's fault, it's Twitch.tv's fault because MLG used twitch.tv's website as the streaming site. Twitch was supposed to fix those issues but obviously they didn't do too good of a job

I paid the money cause i wanted to watch the games and i dont mind supporting people trying to put on really good tournaments. You would think the people sitting on twitch.tv getting the stream for free wouldve had a bit of guilty conscious but meh. A guilty conscious for watching StarCraft 2 for free on the internet. Yeah, right.

Instead of taking my girl out to the movies we watched some starcraft for a few hours yesterday and today ![]() So what imo, next event will be cheaper. People are still trying to recover from the shock of having to pay for something that is usually free. We got some great games this weekend so far.
