Why does everything that GOM does have to cost something when other tournaments deliver some of their stuff for free? (Free EU SQ restream for example. 5am? Come on!) Because GSL is the best, has the highest production values and the best players, and all of this stuff costs them money. Makes sense to me. Even so, technically we don't have to buy the GSL ever to watch it provided we turn up to watch the free stream when its shown. Bear in mind I'm hardly rich. Buying my season tickets has put me significantly out of pocket for the foreseeable future. But I feel GSL warrants that expense for the aforementioned reasons. It does bother me slightly that the bonus tournaments aren't included in the season tickets, but on the other hand they're pretty cheap and I get the feeling they're only going to be on on 'off-season'.

At least they should make it about two hours later, I don't think NA guys would mind it too much and at the same time it's huge difference for EUs. More people will be able to watch this.

While you certainly do have a point, you have to consider the benefits of broader availability. Quite a few friends of mine are kind of interested in competetive SC2 and then watch some youtube commentaries, maybe HSC. When I tell them about the epicness that is GSL they are interested at first and get more interested when I show them a few examples, but most of them are turned off by having to pay a considerable amount for being able to watch at all. Being the best tournament should ideally also mean getting the highest sponsor money, so it should be feasible. I don't even want to discuss ending the ticket system of GSL in general though, I just think that is a little too much to ask premium season ticket owners (and yearly payers as well, light or not, but that might just be me) to pay extra for this nice little extra content. You could even make a case for making this show free to get more people hooked.

The latency-issues from EU to Korea and the other way around is pretty immense. Edit: I just realised... doesn't this start at the same time as Day9 has his show the other days?
