Why do all these no-name teams announce their no-name player signings in Sc2 general? It's not going to magically generate results for them.

I have the opportunity to watch his games live with Camera Lock on, it's absolutely amazing how well he does the little things like overlord spread, consistent baneling burrow, baneling burrow during engagements, army movements to control the map with much less units than you would expect, etc.

They're not assuming it will magically generate results.
However, what it might generate is interest in a different tier of players. Teams have to start somewhere. Besides, these players are still proud of what they do, and it is a forum for all levels of players- not just for the highest level pro-gamers.
Why do all these no-name forum lurkers have to post negative comments in hype threads? It's not going to magically generate friends for them.

You might want to be careful as well, just because you don't know who they are doesn't mean they're not close to top-tier players. Most of our Korean roster has come close to qualifying for Code A recently, and/or are Grandmaster on KR server.
Unlike some teams, we choose our players based on skill and potential, not just notoriety. We plan on earning that ourselves.
