Technically yes, it's plural, but it's an extremely common mistake that native English speakers make. We often say "their" when referring to one person, even though it's grammatically incorrect. | ||

I'm not sure, havent studied french in last 7 years nothing to do with EG but the possesive in french relates to the item not the person... like sa is the feminine and son the masculine, so sa voiture or son canapé, whether it's a he or a she you are talking about since voiture, car, is feminine it's sa and since canapé, couch, is masculine its son regardless of whether the person is male or female, unless their are multiples, in which case it is always ses like ses chaises, his chairs, or in the case of familiar you its ta, ton, or tes, plural you or formal you its votre or vos (the part you might be talking about, though that is formal or plural not gender neutral) ours in notre or nos, and finally mine ma, mon, mes... English 101, I'm pretty sure their is not correct it ought to be his or her, their is accepted but bad English : P It has to do with the lack of a gender-neutral single person pronoun in English, people use they or their instead of having to use "him or her" or the like for expressing something like this. It's not the worst thing you can do, but not technically correct. | ||
