for example: sometimes wolf was trying to explain something and suddenly something exciting happened and it seemed like u were interupting him by "AND HERE ......". edit: sometimes i feel like theres something like "overexcitement". tastosis handles this perfectly imo. they cast much more calm and "regular" in groupstage play than they do in the finals, but sometimes i feel like u try to make everygame a final. i dont see that much more difference in the games u are casting but still good casting.

I know that they are easy to get and basically a way of showing that you've done your homework. But please try and talk about their styles instead of just the numbers broken down in the matchup. Other than that I think your doing fine. This ^. Additionally, its been a huge crutch for casters to speak in terms of supply/army size instead of why they have such a large army/supply lead.

First cast absolutely blown away. When its code A I always cross my fingers that Khaldor is one of the casters. Great enthusiasm, good knowledge and all in all just a great style. I love how thorough he is with looking at stats and just constantly keeping the viewers up to date with what we should expect coming into this game, and pointing out differences in play. Very very impressed.

I'm not bothered by your accent personally but you could work on your english pronounciation and vocabulary a little bit, some invidiual words there and here just seem quite off.

This isn't directed at Khaldor in general, but to all the casters. I really don't like it because sometimes I'll get confused as if the casters are giving off the image that the Korean player is losing the game. In reality though the foreigner player leave the game a couple minutes later. I understand the passion to watch foreigners show that they can compete on the same level as the Korean players, but I don't think the commentators should be so focused on the foreigner during the matchup. Again I'm not trying to single out a single commentator I just wanted to throw that out to all of the GOM casters. Summary: Casters need to avoid too much biased favoritism.

But theres one big issue i have with your casts, and that really a big one: You could do way better with your pronounciation. I know its quite hard, but perhaps just try to put more effort in pronouncing every single word carefuly. I heard a good way to train that is to pronounce single words extremely and slowly. Like overdoing it. Every single part of the word. Over and over. You can do it here and there. Doesnt require much effort. Helped me quite a bit i would say. Although its pretty easy to get sloppy with the pronounciation when youre actually speaking. Especially in tense situations which you encounter quite often while casting ![]() It takes a lot of practice to talk as fast as Khaldor and to still pronounce every word correctly. He is doing fine so far and one can already hear improvement. And a bit of an accent is likely to remain and no problem at all imo. So yeah, good job Khaldor ![]()

I cannot stand the German accent, it sounds horrible to me, but I don't think anyone can fault you for that. English lessons in German public schools are just bad. Your over-excitement in absolutely non-critical moments simply seems ridiculous to me, like you feel obligated to shout, which you really aren't. Other than that I think you are as good as Wolf and you+Wolf would make a better combo than anything we have in Code A.

You are very honest with your commentary, focusing on the player's mistakes. But when you focus on mistakes all the time, it creates a negative viewing experience. The most successful casters such as Day9 and Artosis are successful because they keep the mood positive even in ridiculously one-sided games. Its good to be brutally honest when coaching, but its bad when broadcasting. I don't want to hear about how terrible the players are (even if its true), I want to hear how awesome they are.

Your english could do with some improvements, I know that's really hard to work on and that probably the only thing that's gonna help is doing english commentary and interaction with native speakers (which I guess you're doing quite a bit) but the small example that stuck out to me today when I was watching some up&down matches for GSL is that you often refer to the current game as "that game". For example you will same something like: "...not the best decision in that game" where I think it'd be more natural to refer to "this game" since it's the one we're currently watching. Anyway, keep doing what you do because you're pretty good at it imo.

Also, there's just a little too much "he's building X now, to try and get (insert obvious thing associated with X here)" I'd like a little more opinion and insight into strategy and its efficacy, like you did on ryung vs bomber. You kept calling his all-in bad, which was very right, and kept harping on the xel'naga. But there was so much more you could have talked about, too. Because it was seriously one of the most derp attacks I've ever seen in GSL. When you point out that the protoss is getting a templar archive so he can get templar and storm, when the building is right in front of me on screen and the cameraman has even highlighted it, it's a little "well, durr." Better spent time would be describing things happening off-camera (but I don't know if you're both stuck watching exactly what we see or not anymore) These complaints are very minor, though. Don't take them too harshly. I still enjoy your casts immensely, even with the flailing lunatic that is moletrap at your side. Just take a page from kelly's book and slow down how fast you talk sometimes, because with your accent it can get hard to understand.

The only things I would think about are: a) proper language: swearing and overly insulting phrases are inferior to more sophisticated descriptions, which would make the cast both more informative and more pleasant to listen to, b) bias, I do not think there is actual bias due to your race preferences, it's just that a listener will often get the feeling that there is bias, probably because you concentrate on one side more than the other during the match, for example explaining the match from a Zerg point of view throughout. The only reason why this is bad, is that it makes it more difficult to root for the other guy. It's great for analytical casting, though. Keep up the good work!
