"Should we consider..." It doesn't matter what we consider. There's no point to this topic.

GSL Championship is a GSL Championship. You don't dispute WWE Championship wins, whether they won it by cashing in money in the bank, in a triple threat match or by beating the champion fair and square. Point is, they're a champion, and they're no less of a champion than anyone else who has held the title. Like, can you imagine how ridiculous it would be for wrestling fans to say "NAH HE'S NOT A REAL CHAMPION, HE DOESN'T COUNT." Arena of Legends is like equivalent to holding the Cruiserweight Championship. They're a champion, but not a big one. MLG, DreamHack and IPL would be the United States and Intercontinental Championships, GSTL would be Tag Team Championship and finally, all GSL events would be WWE/World Heavyweight Championship.

My perception of the GSL Championships are that they are something you have to go through the harsh qualification stages in order to enter. Where you are competing against hundreds of the best players in the world. The Blizzard Cup feels more like an invitational event to the winners of other major tournaments. By that standards though, the WC shouldn't stand as a GSL championship and the ST would. Oh well. Technically Blizzard Cup had qualifiers, and exactly what you would call "harsh qualifiers", as they annonced at the start of the cup the list of tournaments someone had to win to be in: those aren't invited they qualified through those tournaments wins, whose player pool and run is as hard or harder than an upside-down.
