I made this extra thread because the news might get lost on the other thread.
So we do have some unfortunate news.  White-Ra will not be able to attend the Battle in Berlin 2011. Here is a quote:

It's a little too much on short notice for either  Osho or MaNa, who played in the Finals for the 1st and the 2nd qualifier, so  GoOdy will be the replacement:
The reasons for GoOdy are quite simple:
-Terran (Kas only Terran so far)
-Solid offline perfomances in the past.
-Local fan favorite
-Panzers
Berlin eSports e.V. staff.

Always sad to see White-Ra unable to compete but GoOdy seems like a good replacement.

Very disappointed. Whitera is such a good player and a community favorite. Unfortunate for Osho and Mana as well, since they should have gone had they been given more time.

Sad that he already has tickets. Hopefully the airline has a police that will allow him to at least get some of the money back.

Goody is a good replacement but it really kind of sucks white-ra already had tickets. I hope he can get a refund from the airline or something. :/

I thought if you were a European citizen you could go anywhere on the continent with no visa required?

If your country is a member of the Schengen Area, yes. The Ukraine is not.

uhm UK isn't member of Schengen Area, yet don't need Visa you not sure it is EU? or is it EU + Schengen? I mean Switzerland is in Schengen and not EU and don't ned Visa either so it's either or probably.

The UK and Ireland cooperate with the Schengen Area. I'm sure it is not the entire EU. Even if it was the EU; the Ukraine is not a member of that either.

Solid replacement imo! Local favourites is probably the best short-time replacements as well since they hopefully dont have to travel too far.

Schengen = no border control for anyone of any nationality inside the borders, there are no borders while inside the area, think of it as equivalent to going from state to state in the US.
EU = can move around EU with just your ID card, no VISA no passport required, I suppose it's like going from US to Canada. Most other European countries need a VISA to enter a EU country.

Actually there is border control. It is just "illegal" to have permanent border control. But you can still do border control actions.

Passports are recommended, but no, you dont need one AT ALL to move within Schengen Area countries, your usual form of national ID is enough. In the UK they have it easier, just make the Passport the national ID!!!
