Huk, Idra, MMA, Naniwa - Top 12 MC, Kiwikaki, Slush, Ret - Top 16 Bomber, DongRaeGu, Select, Sjow - Top 20 Rain, Haypro, Boxer, Puma - Top 24 Only room for 8 Open Bracket Players in Top 24.

"The ultimate Korea vs America" It has been designed that way (inviting korean players for the show and seeding american players since it is an american tournament). If Team Liquid had no european players, there would be only 2 or 3 european players in Providence. I hope next year MLG will pay more attention to european players, enabling them to seeded as well as american players. But after all it is an american tournament so it's normal that they give more space to their players.

European teams have flown players over countless times and only a few of them have been able to win an MLG or secure enough points to get a seed in the championships. Even though the korean invites had a huge advantage over open players they still had to win the tournament and THEN SOME MORE to get into champ brackets for example IMMVP. The system is just rewarding players that put in regular appearances and decent results, something europeans arent doing that well at.

Starting in the pool play or in the open tournament makes a lot of a difference in this tournament. Espacially when you're not invited to the tournament and you have to pay a thousand dollar to attend. And i'm not blaming the tournament organisers, the MLG is an awesome tournament for sure!! I'm just trying to analyze the list of players. It was not sarcasm when i said it's normal to give more room to your players. But i also think you should not nickname this tournament "best players from all around the globe fighting" or "best of korea vs best of foreigner" like I heard. (I may be wrong since i have not a full understanding of the seeding system). Ultimate Korea vs America is pretty scary already.

If they lose their first match, they drop down to Lower Bracket Round 6, and losing again would place them 9-12. It's possible for Korean's to sweep Top 8, but highly improbable.

This is THE hardest tournament ever, harder than code S since you play like 20 or more games per day .
