Some of you guys may already be familiar with Mathew Fink. He's developed a bit of a name for himself playing Starcraft, and travelling to events. I met him at Gamescom, for example, but I was aware of him for a while before that because of this video:
Occasionally in life we come across people who are truly inspirational. For me, Mathew is one of those people. On Monday, November 7th, at 6PM CET, 12PM EST, I will be sitting down with him to discuss exactly why.
Playing Starcraft without hands is pretty amazing in and of itself, but you guys really have no idea just how incredible his story is.
Please join me on the 7th from the ESL studio for some games, some jokes, and some fun with one of the most remarkable members of our amazing online community.
Thats absolutely amazing. The fact that he can play this game without hands and succeed is an inspiration. He's even in Gold League! I tip my hat to you sir and well done for not letting your disability get in the way of your life.
Hope there will be VOD's ( i can't watch it live ).
We may play 3-4 hours a day, pros can play more than 10, but that guy puts more hard work than we all combined. One of few most passionate people I have ever watched. Simply amazing.
Wow, thats crazy, definitely going to watch. I see hes still able to use control groups. It's gotta be sooo hard using control groups not being able to press two keys at once, like ctrl+1 shift+1 without using both arms. Amazing.
I was watching his play once (i want to say live stream, but can't remember) and I can remember feeling a bit sick because I thought he was he couldn't possibly keep up with APM, etc., being in gold league. This guy impressed me so much!
I wonder if he has a special hotkey set up to help him do things more efficiently? The camera guy was mentioning how Matt has a hard time using stim but Matt seemed really confident about it
nice that disabled gamers can play games as well its kinda like playing football with not being able to run properly (which i am doing) just with gaming and thats such a great thing imo
He's WAY faster than I expected. Matt, if you can find a way to bind more keys in an easier position so you don't need to look away from the monitor, I can see you making considerable progress.

yeah, he's quite fast indeed... now that i think about it... how do you bind a key when that requires pushing 2 buttons that are far apart? Might be interesting if they discuss some of the mechanics
Great guy, I feel he could improve his apm with an adapted keyboard something like the pads that are used for music ( you don't need that many keys for sc2). I'll make sure to donate .
Wow this guy would kick my ass anyday hahaha! GJ dudes you deserve all the atention you get, because your reality is tought and you seem to take everything you can from what was given to you and still keep a smile in your face!
keep it up and i will donate something for your cause!
Great show, Matt is awesome. People like him are what the world needs more of, the way he's so cheerful and has a great sense of humour about himself, and isn't letting his condition hold him back from doing anything. Huge respect for Matt! Truly awesome.

i hope you don't mind me asking, do you use the keyboard at all? it's certainly understandable if you can't.
also, did you get to gold league by yourself? I mean, splitting vs bane / dodging storms has to be painful. 1 base might be doable though :-). anyways, yet again, inspirational man :D
