Due to Rasowy being forced to stay in inactivitiy we were forced to part our ways. After trying to help and support him to fix his problems for 3 months, there was unfortunately no possible option to get him back into gaming for now again. With a lot of events coming up, we are in need of a 6th player in our roster. Nevertheless, we want to thank Rasowy for his efforts. He is a great player and a great guy. We hope that he can manage to solve his issues soon.
A replacement for the talentspot has been found with a young German. Gabriel "Marine" Segat (formerly known as Heromarine) is a 14 year old Terran talent. After several talks and testgames we have seen a very solid basis of mechanics and gameknowledge. We want to give him the opportunity and time to develop his play within out team and try to get him step by step into pro-gaming. Despite his very young age, Marine has shown us enough reliability as well as motivation to improve.
mouzMarine commented on his join to us: + Show Spoiler +"I am very happy to be part of mousesports. It is my first very known team and I hope I can progress and improve with hard practice to show better results in tournaments. I am confident to take this chance. For all who want to follow my progress, I will start my stream within the next weeks. Thank you mousesports and it's sponsors Medion, GeIL, Razer, Intel and Sansibar for this opportunity and shoutout to all my fans at the MyStarcraft community."

Very very in how this goes, such a young player and must have a lot of talent to be picked up by mouz. Best of luck to the kid younger than most of us .

I love seeing new blood into the scene, gives me hope that this state of the game is progressing!

Not to take anything away from Rasowy, lomo or Syck but I really hope this talent support pays off a bit more this time. I think it's awesome that you keep doing it and have faith in these young guys.

I'm 15 and I can tell you right now, it's hard socially to play Starcraft and try to be good. There's so many things to do and choosing Starcraft is the worst option for many.

yes i really loved that talent thing, take did back in wc3 times... so many good players came out of that. for the ones who dont know, he was in sk and opened some kind of talent squad which was supported by sk as far as i know. he picked some more unknown young talented players from the german scene and ended up with one of the strongest squads in europe after a couple of month.
|
I hope he gets supported the way he needs to, like helping to improve/organise instead of just a name and 50e/month.
This will be very interesting, so gl and hope it works out.

pretty exciting gl to him

Mouz roster is kinda small so every player they add is kind of a big deal. Big luck to him, he have room to become a really good player.

Good luck to HeroMarine and team mouz! Looking forward to seeing him play in the future.

Why would a team recruit a kid? Since the whole point of a pro gamer team, is to have it's members participating and eventually winning as many "offline" events as possible.
Mouz can't send him alone to different event were he will eventually qualify to participate.
Also their member that was released recently, Rasowy, was an average european terran that despite being part of one of the strongest EU team, he didn't show good results.

alot of people take TLPD for gold... and its really awkward, as tbh i dont understand how tlpd stuff works... look at mine lol, some games get added and its all losses, when i beat a well known player in a tournament those games arent thrown up there =/ and its like that for alot of lesser known players. TLPD is only great for a player that people keep track of and keep updated.
with that aside, i wish this kid luck.

This is just unbelieveable ! He has a really bright future if he keeps to improve ! Great move for both, and respect for mouz.esports for caring about young talents !

I dont have big hopes If he were 50-110 I would agree with you, but right now he hasn't played a lot of games and the ones he has have been against good players. Four of his loses are to MorroW and MaNa, two of the very best foreigners and his now teammates.
I certainly hope that this kid becomes great, as Mouz is my favorite team. Good luck Mouz!!!

Really great news. I really like that Mousesports continues with their talent project, even if it didn´t work out that well with the previous candidates Lomo, Syck and Rasowy. I prefer teams, that build up young unpolished players with big potential (being EU GM at 14 while going to school indicates great promise) over teams that use much money to buy already complete players.
For a german teen who loves esport there isn´t much better stuff than being a part of the german role model gaming organisation. It is a huge chance for him, not only because of Mouz being one of the most famous, professional and succesful teams. As a long time follower (albeit without inside knowledge) it also strikes me as a team with many supportive players (especially Hasu), who are gladly giving advice if needed.
I´m really looking forward to see him playing in the future.
Roof is defenitely a player with great promise and better results than Marine, but Mouz signed with Bigs another solid zerg only recently. It is possible, that they were specifically looking for a german terran to keep it balanced race wise and support local talents. The only other young promising german terrans I can think of would be DBS, who found a good team with TypeII and Rmdx, who is part of Alien Invasion.

It's fine to make some judgements based on win ratio, but at least let the player get a decent number of games under his fucking belt. The guy has under 20 games on his record, a fair few against top players.

He was on MYM by that time, a team with a strong line up back then. This pick up isn´t based on results, but rather on potential. Otherwise it wouldn´t make sense to recruit a 14 year old boy and declare him as talent player. If they would just want a solid terran as backup player, they could have signed a mid-tier EU terran.
|
roof is playing for Serious Gaming. And they have fairly good results in the 4PL Clan League.

Hope he does good, but I don't know.
Mouz has a all-star lineup of great players with good results right now.. Morrow, Thorzain, Hasu, etc. kind of weird seeing a non champion on Mouz, but alright I guess.
