Congrats to MVP and Nestea. There are literally no 2 players more deserving of personal sponsorships than these 2. I hope this means we will see them at many more foreign events.

What the hell are you even talking about lol... Steelseries products are good, the quality of their stuff is amazing. Their Mice have acceleration. They have now started marketing acceleration as a feature because they dont want to take the hit to their current sensor distribution and upgrade to pricier avago optical sensors (like the sensor in the deathadder or the new sensor in the CM storm spawn). This is why SS gear is overall crap. They make a mech keyboard with blacks, every mouse they have except perhaps the ikari optical has acceleration that absolutely cannot be disabled (sensor sided). Then they slap competitive gamers in the face and rip off casuals by marketing their dastardly mice' shortcomings as features. I'd love to say that putting the money they're putting into these players would more than pay for a better quality mouse, but the probably is people see MVP or Nestea on the box and buy it. They are fine with acceleration it seems.

Steelseries makes their players use their gear. Will be interesting to see if it affects their results. I don't know of any gamer on the tournament scene that voluntarily uses Steelseries gear. I think almost all of them use razer or logitech when they are free to choose.

the only steelsieres gear I'm useing is a mousepad and only because it was the cheapest one
I think its kinda ridiciulous to spend 40€ for a razor mousepad when a Steelseries pad costes like 10€ and the quality difference isnt existant.
Other than that the Steelsieres gear is crap and not worth their prize.

Why don't you simply buy products that conform to what you enjoy in a product instead of criticizing those that don't? I'm thankful for Steelseries for marketing their mice as they do - if they didn't, I might buy not understand what I'm paying for when I buy their products. Lots of amazing players use Steelseries mice, and many (yes, a minority, but good for Steelseries for acknowledging a niche market) prefer a mouse with inbuilt acceleration. Last time I went to a LAN, one of the top two finishers had a Kinzu, the other had another Steelseries mouse (can't recall the name, looks like a kinzu). Talked to one of them: he simply thinks he gets better control out of it. Also: you're criticizing their keyboards for using black switches? Last time I checked, most people preferred it.

No they don't. Mvp and NesTea still use their old gear (qsenn keyboard, logitech mice). I know that NaDa and Demuslim use Qsenn too and they are sponsored by Steelseries aswell.

actualy i believe only kinzu has hardware acceleration (but still used by some pro). The 6gv2 is quite cheap for a mech one (and used by many pro). Maybe their mouse is a bit expensive (sensei oô) but i bought my Xai 20€ and i do love it

What I don't fully understand is how can Steelseries prove that their product is good when some of the players sponsored don't even use them? Now this is more understandable if a team is sponsored like EG and 1 or 2 players don't use the keyboard like DeMuslim but if Steelseries has a specific player that they're sponsoring and he doesn't use their mice and/or keyboards then I fail to understand the point of sponsorship. Granted this is in the case of Starcraft because a keyboard and mouse is what you use to maneuver things in the game. This would be equivalent to a Halo player using an Astro headset when sponsored by Steelseries.
