Since when do Steelseries mice and keyboards look cool? They look exactly like the generic Dell keyboards they have in my school library.

What the hell are you even talking about lol... Steelseries products are good, the quality of their stuff is amazing. I don't buy products because the company that makes them sponsor good players I buy products that are efficient, high quality and long-lasting and Steelseries fits all of that. If you wanna look at shitty products that are only bought because they "look cool" look at Razer, not Steelseries. Personally I've been using Steelseries headsets for ages and more recently one of their keyboards and I absolutely love them, this is coming from someone who has wasted many a dollar on cheap and plastic-y Razer keyboards and mice only to have them fail/break a couple weeks/months later. Congrats to Steelseries and Mvp/Nestea, hopefully both sides benefit equally from the partnership.

They have now started marketing acceleration as a feature because they dont want to take the hit to their current sensor distribution and upgrade to pricier avago optical sensors (like the sensor in the deathadder or the new sensor in the CM storm spawn). This is why SS gear is overall crap. They make a mech keyboard with blacks, every mouse they have except perhaps the ikari optical has acceleration that absolutely cannot be disabled (sensor sided). Then they slap competitive gamers in the face and rip off casuals by marketing their dastardly mice' shortcomings as features. I'd love to say that putting the money they're putting into these players would more than pay for a better quality mouse, but the probably is people see MVP or Nestea on the box and buy it. They are fine with acceleration it seems.

![]() I think its kinda ridiciulous to spend 40€ for a razor mousepad when a Steelseries pad costes like 10€ and the quality difference isnt existant. Other than that the Steelsieres gear is crap and not worth their prize.

I'm thankful for Steelseries for marketing their mice as they do - if they didn't, I might buy not understand what I'm paying for when I buy their products. Lots of amazing players use Steelseries mice, and many (yes, a minority, but good for Steelseries for acknowledging a niche market) prefer a mouse with inbuilt acceleration. Last time I went to a LAN, one of the top two finishers had a Kinzu, the other had another Steelseries mouse (can't recall the name, looks like a kinzu). Talked to one of them: he simply thinks he gets better control out of it. Also: you're criticizing their keyboards for using black switches? Last time I checked, most people preferred it.

I don't know of any gamer on the tournament scene that voluntarily uses Steelseries gear. I think almost all of them use razer or logitech when they are free to choose. No they don't. Mvp and NesTea still use their old gear (qsenn keyboard, logitech mice). I know that NaDa and Demuslim use Qsenn too and they are sponsored by Steelseries aswell.

Maybe their mouse is a bit expensive (sensei oô) but i bought my Xai 20€ and i do love it ![]()
