Which two Starcraft 2 legends are we talking about? Jesus they are the best atm but calling them legends is tad too much??

The term 'legend' for these two players seems awfully appropriate... these two players have pretty much been the best SC2 players, or atleast on the top, dominating ever since their debut, plus both are 3x GSL winners. Which is pretty huge considering how long the game has been out.

No. They've been dominating the game for like 5-6 months. Legends such as NaDa, Flash and Jaedong have been amazing for many years. Flash won his first title when he was 15, for God's sake.

No. NesTea has been dominating for a entire year, since the GSL Open 2, which he handily won.

MVP has been pretty much hands down the best Terran in the world ever since he destroyed GSL Jan, 10 months ago.

There are 6 GSL wins between these two players, and there has only been 10 GSL's (including Open seasons).

These have been hands down, the most dominant players of their respective races since the competitive scene in Korean SC2 started up last October.

You don't have to win every major championship to be a legend.

I think his point is that "legend" carries a different meaning for anyone who has played an RTS game besides SC2. The game hasn't even been out long enough for someone to be called a legend by conventional definitions.

Not really. The term 'legend' is somewhat subjective. But, from my standpoint, I see both of these players as legends based on there domination of the Korean scene and other top level players for the past year +....

Not really, they've been dominating for almost a year. If they didn't win the GSL its because they weren't in the finals. Excluding the few early knock outs that don't seem to happen anymore. Also, you don't have to win your first title at 15 to be a legend.

MVP/Nestea are dominating just as hard as BW legends did if not harder, and they too were humans with slumps.

in sc2 there are a large number of players with 70% win rate in their matchups, whereas in bw there is only 1 guy literally.

this shows that bw talent pool is much larger and more regular. sc2 has mostly lemmings and a few outlier good players.

Sick if this means they will play in more foreign tourneys now because of this. Hope they both come to providence and wreck faces.

Great to hear! They really deserve it considering how much success they have.

My two roommates who play no starcraft both know who MVP is, and the success he has had. Its a good indication that these guys have made an impact.

Really? Who? I checked, theres few to none. Even if there was several, they don't dominate at the level nestea/mvp do.

doubt it since the only reason they stay in korea is because they're always fucking winning the GSL.

Was wondering why when these two were playing they were wearing steelseries headsets rather than the razer standard one. This explains it.

This is really weird though, their team sponsors and their star players are going to be conflicting...

SteelSeries must have paid a LOT of money for this.

They are both going. MLG Providence has a higher prizepool than GSL October and MVP is seeded.

steelseries is sinking so much money into sc2. I feel like they sponsor multiple teams, multiple tournaments, multiple shows, multiple individual players...

smart - it gives them market saturation but I have to wonder at what point do these investments start to pay off less and less? I mean, the ROI curve isn't linear, and I have to imagine they've hit the plateau point by now, at least for the foreign market.
