Wonder if it was Wolf's decision or FXO's and the reason? hmm

Best of luck wolf!

He's more of a caster now than a player. He's probably content of just playing Starcraft more casually on the side than having a commitment to professional Starcraft when he already has a job as a caster.

What happened to the non Korean FXO anyway? I know qxc went back to school but are the rest of them in that team house in malaysia or did that fall through? Pretty quiet on the fxo front lately.

I think he can't even cast for FXO (which is why he was contracted?) due to GSL, so, there's really no reason for him to stay with FXO.

FXOpen acquired fOu. So whoever wanted to stay in Korea could stay in the fOu/FXO house. Others went to Malaysia. And some like QXC and tgun went home

Guys I know the inside story because I know Wolf so here it is:

Long ago 3 rings were forged for Australian players, wisest and fairest of the southern hemisphere.
7 for the other foreign players, who valued schooling.
9 were forged for the Koreans.. who above all else, desire practice time.

But they were all them, deceived. For in secret, another ring was made.

In the bowels of the GOM house.. in the flames of a deepest strategy forum threads... Wolf forged for himself a ring with the power to bind all other rings to himself.

One ring to rule them all.

...and that's exactly how it happened. You can ask John the Translator. He kept muttering something about "his precious". /shrug.

I cast, therefore I am.

Even though this decision seems like it was initiated from the side of Wolf rather than FXO, I feel that FXO are shedding their non Asian line-up and focusing solely on the Korean/Asian region of SC2. I would not be surprised to see QXC part ways soon enough.

DoA: Awesome. I always suspected Wolf of being Sauron, it's the shifty look he gets before a cast.

Wolf: Glad to hear you'll still be casting Code A, you're also the best part of the Code B broadcasts for me (Apart form whenever Cella is on camera, obviously, and John's laddering).

Its not a bad thing guys

Wolf has moved into new permanet jobs. And we had to find replacements.

Wolf will still work with us from time to time when we start our live events in Asia.

I wish him the best of luck, he is a true and good friend. I am sure we will share some korean BBQ when i am in Korea for code A quals on the 26th.

They should just make an all-caster team, play in the GSTL and give the players they cast a chance to get back at them for berating their mistakes ^^

Well it makes sense, Its hard to sponsor someone as your shoutcaster when they are working for gom and not so much on your own events. I still think wolf is one of the best GSL casters and it would be great if he works with gom for a long time.

Maybe FXO while not taking focus out of Korea, dont see the need to sponsor a caster. Interesting...

/shrug.

Sad to see, good luck to Wolf and FXO in the future.
With an average game length of 7m36s over his 6 games in GSL3, this is a no-brainer. BitByBit pulls more SCVs than yo momma at a club on Mar Sara. ♞

I don't think that is true, artosis and moletrap still do some solo casts on their youtube account from time to time.

I remember fxoboss saying something like gom cant have him forever basically something implying he didnt want wolf working for gom for the long term.

So he probably had to make a choice.

I mean hes not much use to FXO if hes working for another company full time to be honest. Im sure the parting was amicable , as its pointless to keep wolf on the fxo payroll when hes not doing much in terms of casting playing or coaching for them anymore and clearly casting for gom is the better choice for him if he wishes to pursue a career in casting.

Maternity leave is basically just the guarantee that your job will be there for you when you get back from being a new parent. I am pretty sure that he will be welcomed back with open arms regardless of whether or not Korea has maternity leave.

isn't it called *paternity* leave, for a guy. Pretty sure artosis isnt pregnant and pretty sure most american fathers don't take paternity leave (maybe a short vacation) unless the mother for some reason can't take care of the kid.

yes, it is called paternity leave, and in a number of European countries it is required for both parents to take time off. In America this is the case most of the time, but less so than other parts of the world.

Well in my country there is a certain amount of time per child, so if the father takes time off the mother gets less time to recover.

YES! i was really hoping Wolf wont be affiliated with a team, I like his casting and all, but I always notice a hint of bias when it comes to an FXO player playing (IMO). I wonder if FXOpen got annoyed at him for saying Gumiho was chasing a bicycle in this weeks games over and over again.

GL to you Wolf!

I never really saw the point of having Wolf as a FXO team member (same goes for Tasteless and EG). If this means he's going to be more dedicated to casting then that is amazing... Wolf is far and away the best Code A caster. Actually, without him, I don't know if Code A would be watchable.
