Tell you friend they only show the worst clips they can find on the news, and it's really not all that bad if you have some level of preparation. Those are just the island counties of North Carolina. Morehead City, which is where Irene is expected to make it's first landfall, is almost a good 150 miles (240 kilometers for you heathen metric users) southeast from Raleigh. But seriously, stay the fuck away from I-95 if you are driving down. That is going to be a nightmare with all the tourists trying to get the hell out of dodge. | ||
