Its your first time in Code S RO8, how do you feel? It feels good but my next opponent is IMMVP. I am worried a lot because its him (laughs)
Was it burdensome that the game was against Nada whom you were quite close with when you were in TL? I didn’t have a lot of chance to meet with oGs players for a month as I had to participate in various foreign tournaments. I wasn’t burdened because I couldn’t practice with oGs players a lot.
Todays matches were very gripping Actually I arrived in Korea yesterday. I felt very tired and even more tired after the game. But I am having a meal with Sase who is from Sweden after this match, so that energizes me.
It seems like you could have won 2nd game in Xel naga Fortress. It was a mistake to attack. I didn’t know the exact number of SCVs Nada brought with him. I also didn’t know how much lead I head because I didn’t have a pylon to scout whether or not he had his 3rd expo up. But these things [mistakes] can happen during games.
There was also an announcement that you would be living with Idra and Puma in Korea. Details regarding their stay in Korea are not finalized yet. But personally I hope we get some sort of a partnership with a Korean team as we want to compete in GSTL as well.
Terran’s 1-1-1 build is quite controversial at the moment, what do you think about it? Terran’s 1-1-1 build is quite easy to execute and also has a large win rate. However, I had already made a solution to it few months ago. I sometimes lose to it but developing and trying out new builds are important. Other protoss players should do that too. I hope this statement don’t develop into a controversy as it may be too cocky.
MVP said that 1-1-1 is a very strong build. I really hope he uses it to me (laughs).
Are you dreaming to be the first foreigner in the finals? It is too early to say yet but I think I have the highest probability to make it to the finals from all the foreigners who had made it to ro8 before. Time will tell. But first, I need to compete in MLG.
Personally I think Huk is stronger than MC these days, what do you think? (Laughs very loudly, then thinks for a bit) There were some talks between foreign fans that I will become worse when I transfer to EG as I won’t be able to get help from MC (laughs). I think MC is sad that I am transferring (laughs).
There are a lot of terrans this season, is that good for you? I don’t like to talk about balance but I think Terran is stronger in TvP these days. Timing pushes are important in TvZ. On the other hand, this might be because there are many more Terran players than other players.
Your transfer to EG was a big issue in Korea as well. Are you satisfied with your transfer? I didn’t know it was a big issue in Korea as well. I would like to read the comments if someone could translate them. I transferred to EG because they gave me a very good offer. I am sad that I have left TL but also thankful to EG for treating me well.
Are there any more things you want to say? Thanks to fans in myeg.net –Team EG website. I would also like to thank many sponsors of my team. Finally I would like to thank my family and my fans.

Edit : added 2 more Q&A that I accidently left out
Edit 2: added Huk's comment!
[Translater note: I was thinking after writing this... how inefficient this interview was. The interview questions would be translated into English. Huk would answer with English. The translater translates the answer to Korean. Reporters of thisisgame.com writes down the Korean and quotes it on their article And Finally I translate the Korean article back into English. ]

is Huk referring to his 20nex pvt build?
|
translation or interview quoting is very bad as usual TT;
|
|
|
spoilers. afaik interviews are only done with winners.
|
Huk looked super boss during his nada match. Is it the haircut?
|
I love how Huk treads the line between cocky and confident.

I translated the korean interview T_T
Its really inefficient English -> Korean -> English rofl It would be nice if you could correct some details!
|
HuK's look is more EG than Liquid, only me who thinks that?
|
Some answers made HuK look cocky :D
Or it's just me that I never noticed that he was that arrogant >.< Still I hope he can make it to the finals! Would be very good if a foreigner can make it to the finals of a gsl :o
|
somehow huk looks chubby in this photo maybe its beacuse of the money.troll

I hope MVP does do the 1-1-1 and you have a killer response that owns it up hard. That VOD would become my holy book.

Couldn't this be titled something like "Code S Winner Interview?" I might be the only one who watches GSL VODs and that has the forums as my homepage...
|
Sad MC gogo win MLG
|
Nice answers (especially concerning 1-1-1 and such), i really hope he does well in Ro8.
Good luck, Huk!
|
Would be cool seeing him hold a 1-1-1 convincingly so that order can be restored to the forums (until something else becomes ''OP'' xd).
|
MVP thinks 1/1/1 is OP, HuK thinks he can stop it and would like MVP to use it on him. Set it up guys! Either MVP pretty much proves it true or HuK saves the Protoss race!

Very impressive performance considering the past few weeks of constant travel. I'm looking forward to Raleigh and more top 3 control.

Could you kindly provide the correction in some detail?
Thanks.

I'll be surprised if MVP uses the 1base 1-1-1 given that he said it was imba and should be not be used in tournaments. Instead he'll probably use the 10bunker 1-1-1 contain xD
|
Beat MVP and I think you could take the tournament or at least be one of the favourites. MVP might just be too good, especially since Huk is travelling, hopefully MVP will slack and think he has this game won and think ahead in the tournament
|
Good luck HuK!!! You sir are one of my favorite players!
|
Great job today Huk!! So proud of you. I hope EG really partners with a Korean team, so I can see you (and hopefully also Idra) on the GSTL.
|
I want to see HuK's counter to 1/1/1 very much. HuK fighting!
|
well, all i have to say is that if you told me MC was playing in game 1 vs nada today, i would have believed it! huk is so strong now

You seem to have left out 2 Q&As. One about his move to EG being a big deal, and if he was satisfied after switching teams, and the other about him thanking EG, the sponsors, his fans, and his family. If you left them out on purpose, I'll do a quick translation myself. If it was a mistake, I hope you add them in soon.

"HuK! Let's go to the semis!"
"As expected, he thanks his family and fans at the end! I hope you continue to show awesome games under EG, like you did today."

I'm not too sure about that. In his interview in thisisgame he seems to be asking for fans' understanding as they are progamers and they have to win (or at least that's the impression I got from google translate -_-). Would appreciate if someone could translate his as well.
Wouldn't surprise me if he did it though.

Huk might only be saying that he can beat 1-1-1 because then there might be less chance of MVP useing it
|
Oh man I really can't wait to watch HuK vs MVP now
Huk as usual being his confident badass self <3

I don't think so. I could be wrong but Usually when I've watched Huk play vs a 1/1/1 on his stream he seems to like pumping as many immortals and zealots as possible and it usually works out pretty well from what I've seen.
Seeing Huk post in this thread is cool though, maybe he could enlighten us on how we can beat 1/1/1 :D

I think the main difference between Huk and MC is the consistency. No matter how tired or slumping MC is in Korea, he will still eat foreigners for breakfast (except once vs Idra). Huk shouldn't be losing to Moonglade floating 3000 minerals at 130 supply no matter how bad he is playing. He has to find a way to win without having to rely so much on his top 3 control.

Glad to see a foreigner in Ro8. Hope he can make it farther into the tournament.

Consistent top performances are usually the most impressive part of any sports player. They can all do great now and then, it's the ones who make great play look normal that are the true greats. In football someone like Scholes was a great because even on an average day he still pissed all over almost anyone else.

Have you ever traveled a lot? Because I have and let me tell you--no matter who you are--after a 10hour flight, endless traveling back and forth, sleeping in at a new place every second day it catches up with you to a point where no amount of Redbull can keep you from feeling awful.
No one at his level just floats 3k minerals at 130 supply, I'm only Masters but I've never played that poorly. It takes a special something to let your macro slip that much. Especially since most of it should be down to muscle memory after the amount of games he has played
EDIT:
I also want to see his 1-1-1 solution :D Everytime I watch his stream he losses to it and then beings to rage ladder lol
|
Huk better than MC?... Huk just reached a 50 percent winrate in korea and bombed out of assembly and IEM. /facepalm

I have a feeling HuK is bluffing to evade 1-1-1s but MvP seems to be a guy that won't use it seen his previous comments about it so I dunno if it was really necessary from HuK.

MVP said that 1-1-1 is a very strong build. I really hope he uses it to me (laughs).
LOL, Huk should be careful what he wishes for unless he's 100% confident he can hold it off even better than MC. Btw, I'm wondering what Huk's "solution" for 1-1-1 is. Anyone has replays or clue?

I hope this statement don’t develop into a controversy as it may be too cocky.
MVP said that 1-1-1 is a very strong build. I really hope he uses it to me (laughs)."
I'm excited.

HuK has emo hair in TL, then goes to EG and spikes it all up lol.

I think MC is sad that I am transferring (laughs).
IdrA's revenge for making him sad at MLG? :D
Go HuK! GG WP yesterday, would love to see how you deal with the 1-1-1 and stop the overwhelming balance whine!

HuK Fighting, hopefully finally a foreigner can win GSL

I hope HuK's right about EG partnering with a Korean team. Crossing my fingers for IM.

lol I am not used to seeing HuK not thank TLAF. Still love HuK and EG, and gratz on RO8!

Doesn't anybody find it interesting that EG is looking for co-op with a GSTL Korean team? Or maybe it's just F. United?
I hope if this happens the 3 of them wear black leather grackets

Im so proud of HuK making it to the Ro8 finally ^^

Interesting interview, but lol at anyone thinking Huk is better than MC.
MC stomps foreigners and at his best has untouchable micro.

So now I'm once again clueless with what I should do for a build on xel'naga (I 1rax expand on all other maps), because I don't like doing builds which simply hopes for my opponent to not counter it .
More on topic, great interview. I really hope HuK goes through and takes the first foreigner GSL title, that would be immensly big for foreigners SC2. I'd like to say "A small step for HuK, but a giant leap for the foreigne scene", but I guess that's kinda incorrect because it would be quite a step for Huk aswell.
Either way, HuK hwaiting!.

Even though he isn't on my favorite team any longer, I still support HuK. HuK hwaighting!

Love how Huk always writes like a middle-schooler.

Good job HuK!
I'm so impressed that he can actually win against Koreans with so much travelling... Hope it doesn't harm his results at some point! Keep going, awesome to see you advance!

Oh man, this reminds me how much i used to look forward to the following day for a chance to read the winner's interviews. I miss these *tear*.
Congrats to Huk though on how well he's done so far. Bring on MVP!!!

Thread title is incorrect, or at the very least misleading. Only included an interview of HuK.

thanks for the trasnlation ! <3

very interesting to see how much is lost in translations, if you go english -> korean -> english. ^^" anyways, big thanks for sharing the interview! too bad that Huk now has no more announcement for him in the GSL due to the team change.
