Freaking calgary, Dude, there is people in Calgary who make $60k a year managing at McDonalds. It's all relative, there is people with masters and professional degrees in Arizona who have had to move elsewhere for employment or simply cannot find work. Nice generalization. Where I live in CT people pay $2 million+ for a "house" like that (they're really paying for the land) and then tear said house down just to build another one to their liking over it.

So true. My brother works in Los Gatos at a bike shop and his clients are all rather wealthy. I was visiting him and went to the bike shop and as soon as I got off the highway I saw a brand new Lamborghini driving by. That area is ridiculous.

I think one of the differences between the western and eastern scenes is that players in the western scene spend a lot of time in marketing and self promotion which diverts their focus from the game. I hope by handing the reigns over to Anna, the players can be completely focused on their craft and show (even more of) a competitive presence in tournaments to come.
