Hellspawn and Slop3 from Rakaka are covering MLG Anaheim. New intreviews/videos and pictures will be posted during the whole weekend. For fastest access to new items check out http://www.rakaka.se/
Updated with ToD, also an interview with White-Ra will be uploaded within a few hours about the situation with the forced forfeit in his second round. He will continue play tomorrow in the loser bracket for his fans sake.
Thanks for getting these up quickly. It's interesting to see Alicia didn't even know anything about ToD or even what race he was, and how that affected ToD's confidence.
wow that tod interview was fantastic. backstory to his match vs alicia, great information about a probably extended stay in korea, and so on. looking forward to the white-ra interview

This is why I love Rakaka and wish that RakakaWorld was still actice.
Great stuff, thanks! The sheth video on rakaka.se was also amazing.

Interesting info from the interview also, Jinro talks about why he hasn't performed so good and all the chaos with visas before and during this MLG. No time to really practise, to much stuff going on outside of the game.
Something i love about these interviews is that they always seems so prepared, that hellspawn knows a bit of a history around each player and brings them up, and is always updated on what happens in the tournament. so it leads to an interesting talk
On July 31 2011 01:06 Jiddra wrote: What did White-ra say about Duckload? I didn't get it really, something about someone being arrested and legal problems?
Duckload.com admin got arrested in germany, because one of the many sites he owned had something to do with piracy.
That is really unfortunate White-Ra got screwed over by MLG. I hope he bounces back in loser's bracket and makes it far enough for us to see some games of him.
Milkis tweeted about what Alicia said about the ToD game, "fun" to know when watching the interview with ToD.
"OrangeMilkis Wooju Lee more tidbits: Alicia said ToD's micro was really "alive". And Alicia also got flustered really badly cause ToD completely blocked the ramp"
"OrangeMilkis Wooju Lee Alicia also got really sad about losing. He was like "I'm going to get beaten up at the airport T_T""
Edit:
And the raka picture of White-ra and the admin has a wild Slasher appearing
Updated the thread with White-Ra and Sheth interviews. Unfortuantly the upload of our DeMusliM didn't go well but uploading now again from the venue.
If the american internet providers are with us than me and Slop3 hope to be able to bring you even more interviews and pictures, stay tuned for MLG Anaheim Day 2.
Thx for all awesome feedback, unfortuantly we still have huge internetproblems, interviews with Merz and HayprO are on upload (in swedish though =D). Also a huge interview Slasher has been done and a walk around backstage. We wish we could work in our normal pace to bring you even more content.
Very good interviews, finally someone who asks questions with more thought behind them, and even tougher questions mosts wouldn't ask (interview with Tyler). Thanks a lot!
Second and third part of Slasher interview is coming up, also we got hold of IdrA which is on upload right now. Tomorrow we have booked some great interviews which we hope you will enjoy!
I couldnt ask for more. Everyone seems so relax, witch creates an excellent atmosphere. The past videos from rakaka has always been with a sketchy sound but now its improved
That "White-ra is the king of MLG" video really sums up exactly what it felt like to watch his games against Drewbie. When White-ra lost a scouting probe you could here in the background the crowed's disappointment, but when Whita-ra killed a single marine for free, just one marine, the crowed cheered like hell. Amazing.
Edit: Just finished the ToD interview. The best one really. Especially his explanation on beating alicia even though he thinks he is far from his potential.
If he goes and trains in korea i think he will have bright future
Not only is he an extremely nice person, but he also shares a unique perspective that you only get to hear every so often which actual facts behind that.
Props to Hellspawn. I wish Rakaka would go full English content because they are by far the best news source for e-sports with higher journalistic standards than actual news.
Rakaka <3 I added subtitles to the interview that you did with Jinro, so that the English speaking community could take part of the awsome interview and Jinro's thoughts.
I'll create a thread about it asap. Keep on producing top notch content!
Very good interviews as always when hellspawn is behind the mic, the questions have a lot more depth than most other interviews. Waiting eagerly for the haypro interview, keep it up for day3!

Was going to post same thing. Hellspawn 3-10min on stage interviews would be the win, if nothing else as downtime filler.
Finally got our IdrA interview up from yesterday, we have also one interviews with HuK, Anna Prosser and Sundance. Still haven't been able to get the interview with HayprO online. American internet specially this press area internet is too bad for a proper coverage. We are doing our best atleast =D
Back at Slop3s place in LA, it takes a lot of time to get things up, but HuK and the last part from our Slasher interview should be up within a hour or so.
At the afterparty we actually talked with djWHEAT and had the camera rolling, so still expect many interviews coming up.
You have the best interviews, I don't know if you put a lot of time preparing the questions or if it's just that you have a HUGE knowledge of the scene but you always managed to ask the most interesting questions. Thanks for the coverage.

Its the second there. Hellspawn is some sort of encyclopedia when it comes to esport. So all HI5s to him and I hope u see the guy talking... because then im happy being the camera operator! Be sure to follow rakaka.se in the future!! This is an ongoing adventure!

So true. I've been slowly watching each video through my illness and the depth and incisive nature of each interview is quite impressive. Even the ones with the Koreans or guys like Fenix are well done, given the language barrier/translator. Hope you guys can make it to more MLGs in the future!

I have no clue how to make subtitles, but here's a translation of the interview.
It's huge, but I think Columbus was bigger in terms of fans, but this is almost as big. MLG is sick when it comes to the fans.
You've had a rough period and you chose to move back to Sweden. But at Columbus you had a pretty decent showing, did that have any effect on you, giving you more motivation or something else that made you more confident coming into Anaheim.
Actually I felt worse coming into Anaheim, coming into Columbus I felt pretty good. But before Anaheim, I don't really know, my practice haven't been very good, I just felt better during Columbus.
You had a pretty tough start, could you walk us through the matches you played so far?
I started with a 2-0 against TLO. Then I played against Naniwa and it didn't go as I had planned, I thought I had a solid advantage in game one but then I microed horribly and lost, in the second game I hatched first and got cannon rushed, which I wasn't too happy with. Against Dongrae, who I faced about an hour ago, I felt like I was sitting in an ice machine up there on the featured stage, I couldn't get over 50 apm and I just couldn't play at all.
Do you mean you felt stiff yourself or that it was cold on stage?
It was freezing up there and I told the admins that I didn't want to play any more games of my games on the featured stage and they said that would try to fix that.
How do you feel in the TLO-House now? Have you gotten settled in? You have had Naugrim there for a while and TLO hasn't been there for a while, could you tell us about the situation in the house at the moment?
Right now, TLO is still living in Holland with Victor (Nazgul) so we have Naugrim living there instead, also during MLG Cytoplasm is living there. It's going really well, we keep practicing as always, it's cool.
So, you're enjoying it?
Yea, it's awesome.
Have you had to assume the role of father in the house now that TLO isn't there, or who is the boss now?
When TLO isn't there, there aren't any rules. We get out of bed whenever we want and eat whenever we want, but most of us have similar schedules so it works out pretty well.
About the tournament, you're getting Tyler in your group, do you think there should be some sort of rule that limits the amount of people from the same team that can be in a group?
Well, it's completely random so there's nothing you can do about it, it's just bad luck with placements. The only thing that's good about it is that we won't face eachother in the championship bracket matches tomorrow.
Oh, so maybe it's an advantage to have many teammembers in the same group?
You would think so, but if we have two players that we think can win a group which would guarantee them top 6, then it's really bad.
Is there any player here that have surpassed your expectations or that's just been playing the best?
I knew that Boxer would do good, but I wasn't expecting him to do this good. I knew Dongrae would destroy everyone and I think it's nice that MVP won all his games. I think the finals will be, perhaps Huk, but I think MMA vs Dongrae will be the finals.
Hots has entered the alpha stage and we could see a winter release, is this something you guys talk about and how do you feel about the fact that the game is probably going to change a lot in the near future?
We haven't really talked that much about it, but it's nice that it's coming, zerg needs new units and maybe Terran and Protoss aswell, it's going to be nice with a little variation.
Is it the balance changes you are looking forward to or are you getting a little tired of the game and want something new? Because from the esports perspective that much change could be bad.
I think it's good with a bit of variation but I'm definitely not tired of the game. I hope the expansion doesn't come too soon, I think a spring release would be better than a winter one. Regarding balance, it's going to shift, hopefully in the right direction.
Any last words, something to the fans?
I just want to thank everyone who supports me and the sponsors that send us to the US every month.
What placement are you aiming for?
The first time I got top 14th and after that I got top 9th, I really want to get top 8th but it's getting harder and harder with all the koreans.

MLG's gotta get their head screwed on straight wrt DQ'ing people for arriving 10min late to a match. Starting off the match at 0-1 for the person being late is more than reasonable and is better for the scene in general.
