I'm fine with it. I think I prefer him over Husky/HD/Cat's P. Keeps it straight forward and not overzealous and the little things

EDIT: NVM, just read the top note. Agree completely with the decision taken.

I also agree that this is a terrible move, but that is due to me disliking Mr.Bitter since I consider him one of the most biased casters at the moment just like some people dislike Husky for supposedly being unprofessional.

I sincerely wish MR.Bitter the best of luck on this new job even though I do not like his casting.

For me, unless he can change his casting style. This is a very bad decesion. The main problem is he tends to do a lot of "this protoss composition is unstoppable" or "this timing attack from terran is unstoppable" while everything zerg does is genius and toss/terran are like diamond nubs carried by their race.

I still remember a game he casted with TLO with toss vs terran. Toss was going zealot, archon, and some sentries. He kept asking TLO "this composition is unstoppable. This composition is hard to stop. What do you do against it?" TLO was like "add ghost and better map positioning". He was like "no not gonna work. this composition is too strong." Like he knows more than TLO in TvP....

He also uses a lot absolute terms which is very annoy to hear. However his voice and his knowledge is clearly there. If he can change his bias toward zerg then its fine. Like artosis and day9 both favor players and styles rather than race which makes them some of the best anayltical casters in the world.

The guy is likable tho and does a lot for the community so I am happy for him in that regard.

Having seen his weeks with the pros series I'm not a fan of his commentary at all. It seems like he bought his way into the scene hiring coaches to coach on his stream. Most all of the coaching itself was pretty uninformative, just my opinion on SC2 coaching in general is that it's not worth 10 dollars an hour (high masters). It just seemed like he hasn't earned a spot among the best casters and I'd really rather see other talent being picked up then relying on mediocre casting. He also has a pretty monotone voice with no real great depth to any analytical insight. Just a mediocre pickup that definitely will be a big pass on me watching any of these events.

while i get the point that you are trying to make, i believe the point of them hiring a second english caster is to promote esltv for english speaking viewers, esltv has mainly focused around a german audience previously. Also the english go4sc2 stream with rotterdam usually gets more viewers than pretty much all other weekly cups.

I'm mixed up on this one; I absolutely do not like his casting, because he's biased towards zerg, while I'm extremely anti-biased towards zerg (?), but I do like his attitude and his style, it's always laidback, yet he keeps it interesting. He also seems like a genuine, nice guy, which is great for RotterdaM to cast with imo.
Will be quite interesting to see at least, the P v Z debates that will undoubtedly arise, I will watch it for sure though, even if it was just because I love Rotti's casting, but I have faith in Mr. B as well.
