The big poker sites (Stars/FTP) got shut down by the Department of Justice and many American players got shafted and haven't been able to access their money. | ||

Pokerstars negotiated to get back player funds within a few weeks. Not sure about UB. Full tilt still hasn't gotten their US assets unfroze to return to players, and it was found out that they're assets aren't enough to cover all funds. Thus, they are in deep trouble, and their gambling license was suspended. European investors probably gonna buy them out.... But yeah a lot of pros have money on FTP and Ivey who is (or rather was) a FTP pro sued them in protest and is sitting out all of the WSOP events "for" the US players because they still haven't received their money. That's the general gist | ||
