TL Attack this week will be with special guest Liquid`HuK. HuK hasn't been showing great results recently so hopefully we can cheer him up. Of all the people we've had on TL Attack I'd definitely say HuK is among the Top 3 in unit control. If you want a chance to play against him, just log on to Bnet EU server and we'll be giving instructions on which channel to go to.
TL Attack will be hosted this weekend by djWHEAT and Liquid`TLO. They will do everything in their power to distract HuK from playing well. Kulas extreme and SC2BW may make an appearance as well. If you don't get in, don't worry, we'll be streaming every minute!
HuK will be playing from the HomeStory house, big thanks to TakeSen for providing the location and equipment. You can check out TakeTV on Facebook to support his tournament and channel.
TeamLiquid Attack is a fun, casual event where a popular professional StarCraft 2 player plays custom 1v1s against community members. Typically, the player attempts creative or non-serious strategies while sharing friendly banter with the hosts. The show is a great way to get to know the personality of the popular player that might not normally be seen in serious ladder games or in tournaments.
If you're interested in sponsoring TL Attack! or other TeamLiquid events, click here for more information.
Can you at least screen the players for the SC2BW games on TL not on Bnet? Or invite one of Huk's friends or a member of the Liquid or just make TLO play vs him.
The SC2BW game CatZ played was pretty sad last time.
What? Huk just won Dreamhack Summer 2011. They might be talking about his results at HomeStory III, but I haven't been keeping up with the results with that too well.
Pretty excited for this, Huk for 2 hours straight thats going to be awesome. He's always hilarious and always playing at a high caliber. ^^
excelent!! I hope you make sure the SC2BW game its versus someone that in fact has played bw in a decent level, cuz is depressing watch sc2 players that never played bw enough and make nothing in game. Huk Huk Huk!! =D
The first two lines of the OP are great xD Excited for this, HuK should be really fun to watch! Also glad that EU people are getting a chance (even though that doesn't apply to me `-`)
EU!? Nooooooos well it's good to see EU getting some love, I wanted to band together a group of people and try to snipe the inevitable 4v4 huk, wheat, tlo + probably chill or someone with random community members
On June 25 2011 03:12 Sabu113 wrote: Yeah maybe he'll win something finally :p I hope there's some epic 4v4s with the other pros or some Jinro/John/MC trolling in this.
Oh holy crap, this is genius. Get JOHN in a TL attack. Either to play or to chat with, both would be awesome. Can't wait to see Huk though.
Excuse me TL writers there is a mistake in this article.
In the first paragraph it says, "HuK hasn't been showing great results recently so hopefully we can cheer him up." Given recent events in Europe, HuK has shown what many avid Starcraft 2 fans would consider "great results". With that assumption in mind, this excerpt seems to contradict reality and as to maintain a stable and no-spin presentation of this event's announcement, I thought I should make you aware of the said error.
Really hope we get to see micro/macro this time. Every TLA I'm almost desperate to see it come on. I think it has a lot of potential to show good/interesting games. Atleast enable "regular" players to challenge better or even with pros who can have one guy micro units the whole time, which should be almost impossible to keep up with. Hope you guys consider it and give it a try. Have a good show!

Wow, you saved a really good guest for the EU server. It will be fun fighting for one of those coveted spots against him. Going to work on my Kulas Extreme builds.

He actually does... He's got some good anime tracks and likes Hans Zimmer...so props to Huk on his music taste. Compare that to Idra whose taste in stream music either consists of nasty ghetto music or elevator music with an exaggerated syncopated beat.
To the TLAttack team...try more new maps! Would love to see an island map like debris field (going mass phoenix vs zerg on that map can be quite fun). And when you play SCBW maps...turn on MBS and full control group sizes. What made BW special wasn't its limitations on control groups...that just makes thing tedious for players.
I read all comments and not a single person reacted to the "top 3 control" joke. lol. The "hasn't been doing so well recently" joke seems to get people going though :D

It amazes me how easily people get trolled. How do you people function in the real world? Do you spend your free time giving your bank account details to Nigerian princes?
This is gonna be awesome. I don't really like HuK's personality, but djWHEAT is there, so who the hell cares?

I get this the "top 3 control" is making fun of Huk but don't know what it's referencing. A specific comment somebody made or just some bad plays in general.

i m going to guess it's because this will be the 4th TLA, so "Of all the people we've had on TL Attack I'd definitely say HuK is among the Top 3 in unit control" doesn't mean all that much

No I don't think it refers to that because MC was quoted talking about Huk's "top 3 control", but I don't know if that is the original source or if he got it from something else. I suppose I should just watch the TB and MC cast for context but judging from Clicker's comment it existed before that dual cast.

Huk (on his stream if i remember right) said he thought he had "top 3 control in the world." After that he slumped for quiet a while, he has said he made a mistake saying that and is pretty good about poking fun at himself now for it. go back like 10 state of the games and you will find where he said it (they talk about it because....well it was a silly thing to say )

Where have you people been? It is so catastrophically well known that HuK said ages ago that he had top 3 control in the world...I am in total dismay with the community right now. He also said he could win any best of 11, which is equally as hilariously dumb.

So what is your point there? He's still right, it's making fun of the fact that there were only 4 TL Attacks and Huk's "My control is top 3 in the world". Wouldn't be half as funny if there would've been like 50 TL Attacks.
Dreamhack finals Huk was writing text with pylons and creating hearts with probes scout paths, and this was in the finals .. can you imagine what he is going too be like when the sole purpose of him playing is too fuck around :D really cant wait!
One thing, its on the EU servers but i dont put up the times for EU. Had too work it out for myself FML
Is there anybody that can help me? I want to know if it is in Europe, because it's quite late in my country if CT is the time in Europe, and I have a friend that want's to try to compete against a pro gamer so it would be nice if I could get some info on the time of the show.
It would be fun to add georgeopolis in tl Attack map pool plz. It's a very funny map with 4 random nukes falling on the map pretty often except on main and natural.

So excited for this after HuK's performance in the recent EU tournaments. Heres to hoping he puts up some more great games like the ones @ dreamhack and the HSC3. HUK HUK HUK HUK.
What a week. At first Dreamhuk, then Homestory Huk and now we'll get TL Atthuk E04. But some guests for 2v2 (or even more) would be really funny and considering all the players at HSC3, it shouldn't be a problem to find candidates. Quite some Liquid-oGs people around there.
So disappointed HuK won HSC with these cheesy strategies and his poor macro. No wonder he is not achieving anything in Korea... Naniwa should have won..

TLO wanted Reavers back. And that Blink would be good against them, and forcefields could funnel the scarabs.

AHHHHH such insightful words from the genius mind of TLO. I love this kind of discussion and hypothetical fantasy talk.
think of maybe if FF could also block scarabs, like you could or would make some as a wall or to like deflect them back at enemy units (since the scarab would run along the FF and not over it)
xD
If they can find a way to make Colossi be able to shoot a "scarab" like attack without looking stupid, I think they may consider it
(Perhaps change the scarab to like a laser orb thingy rofl)
Liquid love indeed. I'm wishing, hoping, and praying Tyler is on next week and plays some BW. How amazing would it be if they arranged a Nony Idra rematch?
I hope they slow down the early game a bit to at least make it slightly reminiscent to this amazing game we have of patience and well planned tactics for the expansion

It's pritty clear blizzard wanted less focus on one unit doing all the damage and being used in every game...... especially with zerg. But I think the main race that needs reworking is terran. It cant have perfect early harass units and srsly strong low tech units at the same time its not imba its just not fun to play against.

I know this is already pretty obvious to everyone but I'd still like to say it. Huk has improved incredibly much in basically everything SC2 in Korea. He understands the game so well and can base everything on that. And since he has always had really good micro that makes him a such total beast now.
HuK says "I didn't build one colossus in my entire bo5 against Moon in Dream Hack"
I was responding to a post about what Blizzard thought / wanted out of a unit, not the current state of SC2 or what happened in a tournament one week ago. -.-
It's pritty clear blizzard wanted less focus on one unit doing all the damage and being used in every game......
Colossus says wuddup broski.
That unit people transition out of ASAP in PvT and use as nothing more than support for their blink stalkers in PvZ?
I wasn't talking about the current state of SC2 strategy, which alters by the month, but more the holistic concept behind the unit.
It's design is to be aoe support for the toss army, which needs it badly against big ranged balls. As the game becomes less ball v ball though it's becoming less and less important. It certainly isn't anything like the main damage dealer, in theory or practice, anymore.

I guess Zane missed the part that almost every pro gamer went to Krefeld germany for Homestory cup after dreamhack.. HSC ended tonight, and some of them (incl huk) are still in the appartment where HSC was held. So its logical to do TL attack from there.

Gonna be nice to watch myself fail. It was nice for me to play Huk though, after DH where I had the chance to meet all the Liquid players! TL attack is awesome, please host more on the EU server.

Yes indeed. I might have played different if I was prepared for a standard game But it's all in good fun!
a) Not even HuK can make going straight for carriers work vs a random diamond Terran. b) "Fuck u cripple" is the appropriate response when losing to 7 rax (IdrA approves).
I definitely second the request for more TL Attacks on the EU server!
first time i have managed to sit down and watch this and was pleasantly surprised. good casting from all and some great setup matches provided a funny side to it.
One of the things I loved watching B.Net Attack(the Korean version) for the first time was that it showcased just how large the skill gap was between a professional gamer and a decent amateur player. I feel that feeling has been lost with Teamliquid's rendition of the program. It would be great if in future episodes, more time could be devoted to showcasing the pros vs mediocre level players where the pros played seriously and dismantled their opponents.

Haha, yes.
Grats to Huk on his win and this was a fun episode. The NaDa fantasy made me giggle. Also, Huk's chair looks super comfortable o:
The funny thing is that his mistake probably won him that game.
Without thinking Huk went DTs, he would have never build that turret. The turret did a lot of damage to the carrier. Would have been a lot closer without that panic turret.
Why are you guys saying that turret mistake thinking it was DTs won the guy game? If the guy hadn't killed his marine and thought it was DT's he would have simply walked in with all his marines and killed Huk so it wouldn't have mattered that he didn't anticipate carriers.
I'm really glad that Huk played haypro so we got some good Sc2bw games now we just need to make sure we get good SC2 games with SC2 players lol. Naw I kid, but it was hilarious that in the 2vs1 game the two players couldn't finish Huk with their worker rush.
For Kulas Xtreme it would have been good to prep the other guy before he played and make sure he didn't pick terran. Huk really shouldn't have been able to win with mass sentries... Maybe make the pro guest pick terran, that would be an interesting challenge and if it's Thorzain all the better.
