+ Show Spoiler + Team TF 9 ![]() I am biased so this was a nobrainer. Been a fanboy since GSL open season 2. Hes also more likely to come out early than any other of the high cost players since they are the aces of their teams, while Nestea holds that position in IM. 2 ![]() Up and coming player who just qualified for code A. I have no doubt that his recent success will grant him some play time for IM in the GSTL . 2 ![]() Another nobrainer. I don't think his price does him justice. Even though Squirtle has been given a bit more play time in ST I personally think Ace is the better player and will definitely get to play matches. 1 ![]() This is an interesting player. He had some appearances in the previous league and just qualified for code A by taking out DRG. Definitely a player to look out for. 3 ![]() One of the main players to look out for in the MVP team. Hes going to play a lot and has the potential to knock out any player. 5 ![]() I'd just like to point out that a big part of this season will take place in July. 5 ![]() Somewhat overlooked compared to teammates MMA, Ryung and Alicia. However, hes definitely no slouch and has what it takes to take games off even the best players like he displayed in the Super Tournament where he knocked out MVP. 5 ![]() Guineapig played in every single match for MVP and he won at least one game every match. His P is stronger than his T and Z but this guy is a point generator for sure. 4 Team MVP This team is very well rounded and can take out any other team. A bargain for only 4 points in my opinion. Anti-Team 4 ![]() Anypro has a grand total of 0 games played in previous GSTLs and thats no coincidence. His playstyle is clunky and unrefined and is not the type of player you can rely on to take more than 1 game. I don't see him winning or playing a lot for Prime. 3 ![]() The infamous PvP sniper who lives by his own rules. Might play a game or two for oGs, but I don't think hes more than a last resort P sniper. 6 ![]() Even though hes one of the big guns(well used to be anyway) in TSL, I still don't think his 2-3 record in the GSTL is anything spectacular.

Main Team 5 ![]() 1 ![]() 9 ![]() 4 ![]() 3 ![]() 2 ![]() 2 ![]() 4 ![]() 6 StarTale Anti Team 4 ![]() 3 ![]() 6 ![]() Let's just say that I have a lot of faith in Terran. My two main premises for my Fantasy Team were: 1) Terrans are doing well in Korea right now and have always rocked the GSTL. 2) In order to get the most bang for my buck, I try to only have one player from each team (exception is alicia/taeja). If I have two players on the same team that I want to do well, one player's success will actually punish the other player (delaying the chance for the team to use him), whereas if the first player loses, that's also bad. Other points: Startale always does fairly well in team league and with both July and Bomber, they have a great chance of doing well. Most importantly, they're pretty cheap for their value, and because I won't be trading my captain (Bomber) I may as well root for them to go all the way. Thorzain and qxc may not be the best players in the GSTL, but they'll get playing time as if they are. These two players are guaranteed to play a lot.

I made him captain for no reason at all. FruitDealer can be good at times, and he will get sent out against most teams, I think, so 4 points are a solid investment. July for 5 seemed like a good deal. He can crush at least one opponent each time he gets to play. I needed one 9-points player. MC isn't that good in the team league, MMA is the ace of aces. NaDa - pretty much the same reasoning as with July. I wanted at least one foreigner in the lineup, and even though NaNiwa isn't that great against Koreans, he seems good enough. I have no idea if Jinro/HuK will get to play, so I didn't pick them. SuperNoVa and TOP add consistency, good Terrans are a good sink for the rest of my points. And since I only have one foreigner in the main lineup, F.United is my pick. My three anti-picks are random.

Main Team 2 ![]() 2 ![]() 4 ![]() 4 ![]() 8 ![]() 4 ![]() 3 ![]() 3 ![]() 6 StarTale Anti Team 4 ![]() 4 ![]() 5 ![]() Ace is a very strong player and very cheap. Junwi, younghwa, and Nestea are my IM picks. Nestea was slightly cheaper than some of the other top players and Junwi is a very solid player who has a very good chance of making a few appearances early on. Younghwa is also pretty cheap, and I'm betting that IM will do quite well in the early rounds. I think min is often overlooked when discussing the powerhouse that is slayers; his tlpd stats are respectable. I'm having second thoughts about squirtle, since he'll be attending foreigner tournaments for the first few weeks. Supernova is the kind of player which you could put in early and conceivable all kill, or at least win a few matches. Nada, self explanatory, and surprisingly cheap all things considered. Finally I chose startale over slayers, since early on I expect them to roll over FXO and beat ZeNex soundly. I think startale is a team that has players which are capable of all killing, which means a lot more points. Slayers on the other hand is probably the better team, but most of their players are snipers. I personally don't think Moon and HongUn are up to snuff with the rest of the korean players. My main worry is fruitdealer. If he comes back into form my anti team will be screwed up. I could have picked players I knew wouldn't play for the first couple of weeks, but I decided I'd rather not pay the trading tax later on.

+ Show Spoiler + Marmottes Main Team 5 ![]() Alicia for 5pts is basically a joke. He is the best protoss, on the best team (regarding results). 4 ![]() I believe that he is better than aLive and Puma, the other top terrans on his team. The coach seem to like playing Puma, though... If he plays, I feel Clide can take out most players on the list, including 5/6 pts players like Leenock, Trickster, Killer, GuineaPig, etc. 2 ![]() I thought about picking Ace or Puma, but I needed a Zerg on the roster ^^. He will most likely play when ZeNEX plays and he's code S. And he is cheap. 4 ![]() Showed some great performance on previous GSTL and fOu plays the first two weeks. Also random/race picking spices up the competition. 3 ![]() Unfathomably (does that word even exist?) cheap. How many top tier terrans do you see in MVP ? I only see on, and he will most likely play everytime his team plays. 2 ![]() Same reasoning here, FXO plays a lot the first half of the season and their best Terran (best player?) is Qxc. (Remember that this are my humble opinion, I am aware Moonan is good too) 7 ![]() I don't like selecting ace players, but sC is still underrated, I don't feel aLive or DRG are as good as him. Could have been the captain, but I want to have high value to trade for the last week. 3 ![]() FXOz is very likely to play and take games off players from ZeNEX or NSH (weeks 2 and 3). 6 SlayerS The probability to see some 4-0 here and there from them is high. Probability to see them loose miserably is low. Awful lot of good terrans. That's all I need. Anti Team 3 ![]() Being the coach, deciding to choose oneself to play and getting manhandled is probably not the best experience ever. I don't see him doing it again. If he does, I don't see him win... 5 ![]() Not impressive/Not playing anytime soon anyway. 5 ![]() I may be wrong but I can't ignore this "one hit wonder" feel that strikes me everytime I hear or read his name. General notes : As you may have noticed, I main Terran. I first thought I'd pick Line, San and Maka for Anti Team, as Line has two better zergs ahead of him in ZeNEX (Coca/Kyrix) and Maka is in the same situation with MKP and Polt. But I realized Line is the captain of his team, and I'm under the impression that captains have a tendency to be played more often than not, even when they're not as good as their teammates. Is it true? Edit: *warning* Dreamhack spoiler + Show Spoiler + Also didn't pick anyone from IM/oGs, as their rosters are so deep you can't really know who will get to play. Furthermore, IM has a history of puling players out of nowhere and oGs doesn't play the first week. Huk is very cheap and likely to play at least the first time, as he won Dreamhack and oGs will probably show that including Jinro and Huk in the roster does mean something.

Below poster advised me to change out NesTea and I am taking advise. I will still root for nestea in my heart. Ace and theBest are steals at only 2 points... and I think QXC has the most potential out of anyone on FXO, especially in the korean practice environment. Also I don't know why anyone wouldn't put moon in their anti-team, he has yet to impress me with anything.

I tried to stay more toward middle weights, except for Nestea and my team as Slayers. If we go off of earlier GSTLs, Nestea is barely going to play. He's the ace, which means he'll only get put in if the series gets to the tiebreaker.

GSTL matches don't go long enough for him to be necessary... If anything, maybe they'll play him to appeal to the foreign audience. If he gets out in the first game they play (week 3) I'll probably trade for him, but I don't expect it. My team and reasonings: FTL ("fantasy team league" x_x) Main Team 5 ![]() + Show Spoiler + Clearly the best protoss on Slayers (frozen? golden?) Alicia is going to see playing time. The team is dominated by terrans - ryung, mma, ganzi and because of this I don't see them being worth the points... but alicia is solid, and is going to grab some wins. Originally had San here, but NSH plays all their games early and I won't be able to dump him if I don't like him. 1 ![]() + Show Spoiler + Second protoss for oGs, and he's going to play before MC if he plays at all because MC will clean up late. Pretty hyped in this fantasy league, but I went and dug up a few of the replays people are talking about, and I think the play stands up. A steal at only 1 point. 3 ![]() + Show Spoiler + solid MVP terran, better vP and vZ than his vT, but he's going to see some playing time and I might even be able to string a few wins in a row together. Not necesesarily undervalued, but at least worth his 3 points. Had a rough time deciding between him and ST_ace. 9 ![]() + Show Spoiler + Originally went with Losira here, but upon further consideration, I traded naniwa (whom I might pick up later) down for Qxc, freeing up the extra point to jump to MC over losira. 8 ![]() + Show Spoiler + never-surrender player who clearly stands over top of all other zerg players out there. Hard to figure if he will play ace over MVP, but he will see some playing time, and the consistency is worth every single point. Consistency for Captain - besides, IM games are spread throughout the season, so I'm going to want to keep him around. 2 ![]() + Show Spoiler + FXO plays five games in five weeks. Sheth and moonglade are the only other players I know on the team, so if I'm taking anyone I'm taking Qxc. He's at least likely to play, so I'm looking forward to his wins. This was ahard pick over ST_ace too, but Foreigners hwaiting! 2 ![]() + Show Spoiler + Guess I needed a fOu player or something.... uh, I'm not really sure why I took thebest over ST_ace or MVP_tails/hwangsin might go switch that. 2 ![]() + Show Spoiler + Best Zerg on MVP not named DongRaeGu (who will play ace). He'll get playing time, and for only two points it's absolutely worth it. Undefeated so far in ZvZ. 4 MVP + Show Spoiler + I'd have liked to take slayers at 6, but the 4 points just ended up fitting so I took this instead. Can't say I feel badly about the difference. Anti Team 3 ![]() 4 ![]() 6 ![]() Trickster, though I love him from the Beta has done nothing but fall flat on his face so far in GSL and GSTL. He'll play, because the TSL team is a disappointment, but I'm expecting that he will lose. Clide gets the tastosis curse, and the fact that I think he's incredibly average. Choya will all-in, if he even plays. edit: traded thebest for St_Ace. I don't know what I was thinking.

Picked mostly mid range players. Polt as the captain due to his rise lately. Hopefully he keeps it up. Also picked up QXC and Sheth hoping they can hold down the foreign tags and really do well. Got Clide because Artosis can pick em. Team is ZeNEX. Probably not the best pick but about all the points i had left lol. Anti team.. Well InCa.. heh ya pretty self explanatory. GanZi and FruitDealer don't seem to be performing well lately so i took them as well.

+ Show Spoiler + 8Guys2Starcrafts Main Team 5 ![]() Counting on SlayerS to win, Alicia will appear and do well. He's a boss. 5 ![]() Won the most games for MVP aside from DRG. Pretty much guaranteed to appear many times. 1 ![]() Best value in the entire league. Should perform reasonably well. Having him as captain allows me more trades. 2 ![]() Needed a good IM player, and this guy was on the cheap. 4 ![]() Easily the best player on Zenex IMO, if they go anywhere this guy will have wins. 9 ![]() The god of the GSTL. Anti Team 2 ![]() I expect SlayerS to go far and never actually use BoxeR. He likes to let his team do the work in GSTL. 4 ![]() I see him being picked and then immediately losing a lot. Hasn't impressed me at all since Open Season 1. 8 ![]() May change this, but I feel like he's so mechanical. He trains hard to take out one guy and that's it. Doesn't bode well for him to be much more than a sniper who gets 1 kill and then gets killed himself. Also bitter about the Super Tourney ![]() My strategy is to have a cost-effective player from as many different teams as possible, so I always have potential to gain points. I put an emphasis on SlayerS because I am a fanboy and they are in much better shape to win than the overpriced IM who are carried by 3 players.
