GOM have so far done almost flawlessly in terms of communication... the only complaint I've heard from players is that GSL releases their maps a bit late. But I think this has been rectified. The next GSTL takes place over 3 months and 1 week. The final is in early October actually. So far they haven't announced the title for this GSTL. Making an announcement that Thorzain will play in the F.United team in the GSL without even speaking to thorzain or his team isnt that bad communication?

Yes its bad, but that wasn't GOM. It was MLG that announced it, therefore blaming Goms communication seems a bit silly.

Mouz and ThorZain weren't aware of any plans for GSTL / F.United to occur. They are not against it; they are not saying it won't happen; just that no one ran it by them. I guess GOM are making the opportunity available publicly before privately, which is a bit strange. Krzysztof Narloch yet your clarification caused a bit of uproar. [...] mousesports Oh, maybe that got wrong a bit in the end. We don't have any problem with our players competing in other teams which are set up for a special tournament (F.United for GSTL in this case; MorroW in the World All-Star team before). We just meant the fact, that ThorZaIN was announced for GSTL, which really surprised us and we haven't been contacted before neither bei MLG nor GOM officials or press coordinators or anyone else. 18 minutes ago

Hmm... they do say that Thorzain likely won't accept in their 1st response. Not sure though. I guess it's worth the wait to see if he accepts.

Thorzain will most likely play in GSTL. On June 15 2011 19:18 pdd wrote: It is. But I don't see how it should be an issue which we should make into a bigger deal than it is. If it happened once it would be overlooked. But it happened the second time.

It was 3 weeks notice before departure and it was their first venture to reach out to the foreigners. Quoting from Xeris's post. The fact that GOM notified foreign players basically three weeks before they would need to actually go to Korea leaves teams and organizations a VERY limited time to make accommodations. 2. The players who were invited all ended up arriving anyway and it wasn't a very big deal. Just a lot of inconvenience to the managers of the team. 3. Dreamhack also has its fair of setbacks with almost half of the Koreans invited not going although they had pre-announced them as invited. No one's blaming them for jumping the gun on the announcement. (I'm aware that they weren't announcing false information when they made the announcements, but the point is things like these happen and there's still time to rectify it... no need to make a big deal about it).

What happened was that I wasn't informed about me playing in the GSTL in the first place until I saw the official GOMTV news. When I saw the news I asked my team about permission and they didn't know about it as well. As long as I wouldn't be representing WMF i was allowed to play. I sent a mail to GOMTv asking them about that and they said I would be able to represent mouz (shirt etc). This morning when I woke up I saw this thread with the rather misformulated mousesports-tweet. What they meant was more likely that I'm not confirmed to play in the GSTL yet. However, now when I've cleared things out I will almost certainly still be playing it.
