it's cool that this was the first MLG that a large part of the korean community tuned in to watch because imo it was BY FAR the best MLG and has improved so immensely in so many ways to previous ones. i'm glad they liked it cuz i loved it :D

An MLG-Starcraft 2 specific event in Seoul would be AMAZING. Like a true partnership where they do a tournament over the course of a few days. That... would be so awesome....

An MLG in korea would also have the foreigners sold too. One of the primary reasons they don't go over to Korea is because of the long term commitment to the GSL, you basically have to stay in Korea for a whole month, wherein an MLG is only a few days so you have people from Europe commiting to it. If they had a 3 day tournament in Seoul korea, let's just say it would be incredibly successful. I'd be down to make a trip out of it: see a foreign country + foreign tournament in a small amount of days.... nerd chills
I asked my friend how the ratio at a party was, he replied. "Let's just say for every guy there was two dudes."

Enjoyed very much seeing that Koreans saw the whole endevour as an actual legitimate enterprise.

Their view seems not to be:

"d'aww lets look at silly foreigeners play around with sc2"

but rather:

"wow these players, games and setting is amazing"

"After watching this... We can no longer talk back to the foreigners who say their are better international tournaments than GSL
"
Truth.

"Select used to be the top 3 terran player but now he's slumped so hard. Been playing too many 4vs4s"

Select's been playing 4v4s?

"Where's China?"

Only major SC2 nation left out of MLG Columbus, I hope they get a chinese delegation to MLG Anaheim, would be a huge help in the 'globalization' of the tournament, something the koreans, and us, love.

"Doing an all nighter.. My first..."

Ha! now we're teh ones watching in the afternoon while they brew coffee and watch through half lidded eyes. :D

"The reason is Idra had to take a shit. He held it in for a long time and when he say MMA with an expansion he said fuck this. (If he kept playing he would shit his pants"

All the koreans seem to think Idra had to shit. Is this a joke in Korea?

"But the foreign players aren't that bad. I bet Idra and Naniwa can win Code S. Morrow can also be really good if he improves his play against toss"

I'm alos really excited about how much the koreans are getting into the foreign scene, and about how much they understand about the players. I think in the next TSL foreigners wil have a much harder time hiding their practice.

Well video games and RTS games like BW and SC2 in particular don't have many female fans in the West. In Asia, females are far more receptive to video games and it's only natural that SC2 players can become idols there, whereas in the West, there isn't a large enough proportion of fans who aren't male students with too much time behind the computer (of which I'm one ).
