MYM reporting that Thorzain's recruitment to Mousesports should be announced shortly.
The very short article copied and pasted:
+ Show Spoiler +We here at mymym.com got the exclusive information that the swedish terran player Marcus "ThorZaIN" Eklöf, currently playing for the Dutch organisation Praetoriani, is about to get announced as new player for mousesports in the next days or even hours.
The former WC3 Player shows an impressive run in the current TSL season but failed to impress in other tournaments so far. Without a doubt he is an amazing talent and will make the already strong lineup from mousesports even stronger.

Interesting. I assumed Mouz would try to get a new terran ever since Naama left, and Praetorian hasn't been making a big splash except for Thorzain
|
Good for him. Nice to see organizations recognizing his astounding results as of late.
|
It was just a question of which of the big clans managed to pick him up first. I hope that means some sponsored plane tickets for him so he can join some major tournaments around the globe.
|
Amazing pickup. Best of luck with Mouz!
|
Its good that that he gets a bigger team that can sponsor him more than prae.

congrats to thorzain and mouz
truly a good day for both.
|
Is he thinking of going to the gaming house in Sweden? I know MouzMorroW is there.
|
Good pickup! Hope to see Thorzain in more tourneys now!
|
I feel bad for Prae. I was really starting to recognize Praetoriani players and logo through TSL and smaller tournaments but if players dont stick around I can't see myself rooting for the team.
|
Congrats to Thorzain, hope they send him to korea:D::D
|
cant go wrong with this kid. very talented
|
mouz= best team ever so sad they lost white-ra
|
This is pretty awesome. Mouz just became even stronger! Hopefully this will launch Thorzain to a new level of play.
|
I think through the TSL Thorzain received a lot of attention and mousesports is obviously waaaaay bigger than praetoriani. Mouz has already very good and talented players like hasu, morrow and strelok. thorzain will have a good salary and a good team i guess :D
|
Couldn't they have waited for this until his semi-final in the TSL3 was done? I mean, it makes you think: does Thorzain feel free to change teams now his run in the tournament is over, or is it that mouseSports wants to pick him up just before the finals. Or is it just a coincidence it happens right now?
|
Strelok has a TvT practice partner <3

They weren't really a team anyways with only 2 well known players. (not sure if the other 3 are good)
|
Congratulations ThorZain!

oh mouz, i thought it would have been tl

their roster decisions don't revolve around tournaments.

I think the calender of the MYM site is off. This was posted on the 8th of may, 20:25. They probably didn't intend to announce it today.
Anyway, gz to thorzain, gz to mouz and good luck to everyone who isnt on mouz, they're gonna need it.
Edit: they fixed it now.

Thorzain gets morrow, strelok, and hasuobs to practice with? holy jesus
|
Good move for Mouz and Thorzain. Thorzains gets better support and Mouz fills the hole Naama left when he joined Virus.

Not to derail the thread off-topic, but when did Naama leave and what team did he go to?
As for Thorzain, I'm happy to see him get picked up to such a solid team. I've been very impressed with his run in the TSL.
|
Congrats to the both of them. The team indeed has gotten much stronger and the organization offers more opportunities for Thorzain.

Huge congrats to both! I hope we see more of Thorzain in other tournaments (especially LANs).
|
This should be good for both parties involved. Mouz is an awesome organization, and Thorzain is definitely an up and coming player.

It was a while back (1+month ago), and he joined the French Team Virus.

thorzain totally deserve it!

I would have almost assumed that an even bigger team than Mouz would have picked him up sick talented kid

so it may have coincided with the thorzain qualification for the final of the TSL?

Naama went to Virus (it has alot of finnish players). Don't know the specifics but he has stated that he just got a better deal from Virus and decided to take it.
But anyways, happy to see Thorzain in Mouz, such an awesome team.

Nice! ThorZain seems incredible at Starcraft II, he somehow always wins fights
|
No Liquid`Thorzain

|
Sad, would have loved to see him in TL :S
|
Big congrats to ThorZain !
|
HasuObs Mana Morrow Strelok
and now
ThorZain.
Impressive Lineup. :O

I like it so much

Liquipedia says that ThorZaIN joined Prea. on the 3rd November last year. That means 6 months was up a few days ago (3rd May, obviously).
If you assume he had a somewhat short contract (6 months...) then it's entirely possible his contract was simply up with Prae and he was looking for other/better offers if the news is true, and the timing just happened to coincide with TSL 3 semi-finals.
Since it has been only a few days more than 6 months since he signed for Prae, according to Liquipedia, then it doesn't seem too unreasonable if that's the contract he had.

1. Join Mouz 2. Win TSL 3. ??? 4. PROFIT!
Great for Thorzain!! Grats!

mouzThorZaiN has an great ring to it. Liquid`ThorZaiN has a better one though.

Grats to Thorzain of course!

maybe this way he will be allowed into the stockholm practice house? very nice move either way, congrats thorzain

The mousesports lineup is pretty fearsome now.
|
Mouz is getting a pretty nice line up with a very good player of each race now.

Even bigger team than mouz? There aren't that many esports organisations around that are bigger than mouse. SK doesn't seem to be going for sc2 very much. Complexity has also been somewhat lackluster in sc2 compared to how I remember them way back in their cs 1.6 prime. What's left is basically EG and mouze and to some extent, as far as organisation size goes, MYM, TL and maybe Dignitas.
Claiming that mouz is somehow not one of the biggest organisations with sc2 interest seems a bit silly.
Gratz to Thorzain and mouz. Mouz really has an impressive line up now. Will be interesting to see how they'll do in team leagues

i want to have such a "worst matchup" too pklz

Mondi wont leave MYM as the head of the team...

Ah, i kinda love the Prae Icon :D.
The Helm is baller.
Still guess mouz is a bigger team given him better support
|
Congrats Thorzain! That should give him some good support for tourneys.

Really well deserved tbh Prae lacking sponsors sadly... good luck on mouz thorzain

|

win win for mouz and thorzain!
Surprised it took this long for another team to pick him up
|
Thorzain is a really fantastic EU terran, maybe even the best, so this is a great addition to the Mouz team. Great pickup, and hoping to see ThorZain in more international events, hopefully. Because he really is 'under the radar' at the moment, think that will change real soon.
|
Liquid`ThorZain.... buck up and pay him the loot!!!
|
MyM being a winner today! What a great steal, any team would be jealous about this recruitment!
|
mouz always on the prowl for talent. I wonder though, if thorzain doesn't turn out to be a one-hit wonder. I think there are lots of terrans that are more solid, thorzain can just really prepare well for bo5s with a lot of time.
|
Good luck to Thorzain, and hope to see him in many more tournaments to come
|
mouz final in TSL would be SICK such a great team!
|
Would've liked it if he went to Liquid They're all seeming to have a tough time right now, and having a recent TSL champion on the roster might bring back some team spirit.
|
Congratulations to ThorZaiN and mouse eSports.
