This is a translation of the Korean interview on PlayXP which means it is a translation of a translation. (He was translated by the koreans). So there may be something "lost in translation" as to say...

- Among the foreign players you are the first to get to the round of 8. What are your thoughts?
o I am extremely happy. I am feeling good because I beat Nestea who is considered the best in ZvZ. I studied Nestea’s builds and practiced only builds that would counter him for today.

- Did you study up on his (Nestea’s) strategy even more after your loss in the team battle?
o Yes. Especially because I lost on Terminus RE I practiced extra for the 3rd set. I had planned to be aggressive with zerglings in the beginning and get ahead economically then go into hydralisks.

- When you were matched up against Nestea what were your thoughts?
o When I found out that it was ZvZ, I thought it was possible. I would say I am one of the top 3 Zergs in Europe so I thought it was definitely possible.

- You could have won yesterday’s Team match. Are you disappointed in not getting the win?
o I am disappointed. If I were to judge each game in detail, in the game against JulyZerg I was able to scout him and I was able to defend his attack easily. In the first match against MVP on Taldarim Altar, it got disconnected in the middle. In my opinion MVP could have been given the win. In the game against Nestea, he played much better than me so he won. If I were to give an excuse, it was my first time playing ZvZ on that map. I thought he would rush mutalisks so I was too focused on hydralisks and got caught.

- What do you think about the matches tomorrow?
o Although today the foreigners lost, Huk against MVP was 2:1 and White-Ra vs San was also 2:1. I think the score says it’s definitely possible. I hope more foreigners will get to the round of 8 tomorrow. Also, Sen has experience beating Marinekingprime already so I think he can get good results.

- Any goals you set before coming to the World Championship?
o My first goal was to beat a famous Korean player. Since I beat Nestea today, I have already achieved that goal. In the round of 8, I am facing San, my worst matchup is ZvP but I will practice extra hard.

- Do you have any plans to be in the GSL?
o I have thought about this a lot. But, I am reluctant to leave my girlfriend and family for 1 year. Also, there are many tournaments in Europe. So I think being active in the European SC2 community is better for me.

- Do you have anything to say to Korean Fans (in general)?
o It is my honor to play in such a big tournament in Korea. I am thankful for all the fans who support and cheer me on.

- Anything else?
o I would like to thank my team mTw for their support. Also to all those in the Russian SC2 community and the other foreign SC2 communities, thank you. I hope everyone stays healthy.

Why would you put the spoiler in the thread, and not in the title. Obviously they interview the winners from the games, thats GOM's style. You just spoiled 2 matches with these posts......

Wow, Dimaga so humble, admitting that MVP was ahead in the disconnect game.

But how would it be possible to tell which player that is being interviewed in the title?

Even if you write "[SPOILER] Dimaga interview after GSL WC round of 16" it wouldn't matter because you still know that only the winners are getting interviewed. >.>

Anyways, not gonna derail this thread with un-related discussions.
DIMAGA is very skilled in my opinion and could very well compete in the GSL but I am fine with him staying in Europe, even though it makes it harder for us "normal" people to win small tournaments when he occupies a slot in each and one of them xD

This is the look of a professional. The Koreans practiced for this but (some of) the players in the World Team studied, games, builds, styles of their opponents. It's pretty much a safe bet when you see a build of your opponent that you have an idea how he's gonna follow up on it and it falls onto not making mistakes.

A lot of players should take some lessons here and it is also the reason why I disagree with the idea of hiding replays. It's a measure of a player's skill, understanding what his opponent is most likely to do, learning. Pretty much every sport has this, watching videos of their next opponent to snipe styles.

You could put "[SPOILER] Interviews after GSL WC round of 16" and put all of the interviews under one thread :o

Thanks for translating the interview! It's people who do stuff like this for the community that makes TL so awesome.

I hope Dimaga makes it far into the tournament so we can see more of his zerg.
