I am not sure if this has been posted or not but here it is. It is my first attempt at Translation so don't be too harsh.

- Your thoughts on making the round of 8? o I thought I wasn’t going to make it. Recently, I have really weak against protoss. I have met Huk on the ladder many times and I thought he was very good. I was nervous, but I am happy that I made it into the round of 8.
- Recently, your protoss matchup has been criticized as being weak. Do you think that is the case? o Zealot charge got patched and it has made recent games quite difficult. I do not think Terran got any better with the patch.
- Because of your loss in the up and down matches, people talk about your TvP more often. o At that time, I practiced too much and it backfired on me. I thought about the matches too much and lost the games.
- Have you been feeling better recently? o Now, I have regained my confidence again.
- Do you want to face another protoss? o To be honest, I want to avoid protoss if possible. I am happy because my opponent will not be a protoss next.
- It seemed that you were in a favorable situation when the game disconnected yesterday, are you disappointed? (referring to the MVP vs. Dimaga game that got disconnected) o I wanted to win fashionably by making battlecruisers. So it was a bit disappointing
- Did the decision to regame affect your next game? o No, it did not. The strategy I used was effective before this recent patch, but with the recent patch, it was too slow. I feel like I gave away the win.
- Your goals for this tournament? o For me, I am on the verge of being eliminated (talking about his fall to Code A), and for my opponent this will be only one of many other tournaments (GSL code S) so I must try harder. For any given tournament, I want to win. But if I say I will win and I lose quickly, many people will say bad things about me, so saying the round of 16 or the round of 8 if more comfortable for me. Since I made it to the round of 8 now, now my goal is the round of 4.
- Who do you want to face between Nada and JulyZerg (this is before their match)? o I have reasons to face both of the players. I lost to JulyZerg twice in the round of 32 recently and I want revenge. As for Nada, he was a fierce opponent in SCBW and I want to take revenge for my loss then.
- Any reasons for getting battlecruisers recently? o When I used them in the GSL team league finals, I did not realize that the patch had buffed them. I made them without knowing, but after I did I realized they were quicker than I thought. I started to like them and I think that’s why I have been using them more frequently.
- Any last comments? o During the tournament, many fans have been criticizing about the time people take for getting their settings or the occasional disconnects. The staff here is trying their best. I hope the fans watch with an open and good attitude. An Joon Young (one of the Korean casters) helped me very much in practice and gave me many advices. I am thankful.

Yeah, there is one for Dimaga and San, if there is a large request, I could do them as well.
|
Thanks for translating. Hopefully MVP can regain his confidence.
|
Thanks for the translation! Please do the dimaga one if its not too much trouble!
|
Incoming loads of people complaining of spoilers?

MVP knows how to please an audience. Like the Mothership, an appearance of Battlecruisers immediately makes the game jump straight up to recommended, simply because they are awesome. Plus, they are monsters at tanking damage and dealing tremendous DPS.

that would be so cool to have translations of the other interviews !
|
Please do Dimaga's interview, would love to see it. Thank you very much.

Thanks for the translation and yes please do the others

Nice interview. Its nice to see mvp asking people to be patient with the set and game conditions, shows a lot of respect for the people that work hard everyday to "allow" him to be play tv games and...be a star like he is.
Edit: And ofcourse...thanks for the translation

"I do not think Terran got any better with the patch. " "I realized they [Battlecruisers] were quicker than I thought. I started to like them and I think that’s why I have been using them more frequently. "
Direct contradiction

Please do! I really appreciate this translation even if you aren't willing to spend more time on it btw, thanks!
Kind of surprised me that MVP said he didn't know battlecruisers had been buffed... O_O.

Thank you for the translation. At least I would reall enjoy Dimagas interview being translated ^^

Thank you very much for the translations, I laughed a bit at MVP not realising BC's had got a speed buff, how can you be on a pro team and not have gone over the patch notes before playing on the new patch lol.
I'd really love to see both San and Dimaga's interviews if you have the time!
|
Read both san and dimaga's interviews. Surely dimaga's gonna win some fans with that interview if he hasn't already =]

I might be totally wrong but I remember one of the Korean casters being very good at Sc2 and having pretty good win streaks at Gisado's king of the hill a few months ago.
Also , thanks Phosgene , pretty nice interview. MVP is easily my favorite Korean Terran so always nice to hear from him.

I might as well just stop visiting the SC2 section whenever there are tournaments. I have to wait until after work to watch the series, and when I see "INTERVIEW WITH SO AND SO PLAYER" it's obvious they won...

Yeah usually TL is against this, im not sure WHY he didnt put spoilers in the title. Kinda ruined it for me and probably many others who havent seen the games yet. =\

Yes, I am sorry, it was my first Post on translating so I forgot to do some stuff. I cant change the title of the post now. Next time i will just make a general thread with all the interviews.

Battlecruisers went from non existent to slightly viable, it didn't really make terran any better.
MVP was so far ahead game 1 that he was making BC an planetary fortresses instead of making 2-3 ghosts and just going and winning.
|
lol the interviewers are harsh on MVP, they kept asking him about his TvP. Hopefully he can silence the critics.
|
Cool. Thanks.
He was the guy who played as MC's master in the GSL5 Finals pregame show, right? He beat Gisado (July's master). LOL.

I appreciate all of the content you've given us (Even though I still haven't read it )

Thanks, Antoine.
Man, I'm terrible at remembering Korean names. ^^;;

ahn(caster) is pretty good. not as good as decent progamers but.. he definitely can beat bunch of progamers.
|
<3 MVP, this is a good tournament for him to get his mojo back.
|
Hmmmm, just out of curiosity, could you please do, if you have time, the Dimaga/San one? San seems like a cocky player so it might be interesting to see what he has to say.

Apologies for offtopic question but , does anybody know what's Garimto doing these days? I mean I remember him attending first few GSL preliminaries but haven't heard anything after that. Guess he's not playing anymore?
And yea I also remember it was DaezanG

Am I the only one who finds this kind of strange? A person who plays starcraft 2 professionally has no idea what the patch notes are for his own race, even after the patch is relased and he is about to play a televised game on it?
|
The interview seems to prove a little that the koreans simply don't take some tournaments as seriously as others.
Battlecruisers in the GSTL and not even knowing they were bufffed.. Trying to win the korea vs world showmatch in style.. Some of those tournaments just don't mean much for them and they play much worse in them.
