Apparently Tasteless is no longer a Manager for EG.
According to his Twitter:
"I've decided to quit team EG"
"Oh it just occurred to me it's April fools day in the states. That last tweet was not a joke."
So it isn't a joke.
I'm guessing he decided to leave since EG has no plans for Korea with the NASL starting up, and with no EG players left in Korea or planning to go there he probably didn't have many responsibilities or any at all.
Hopefully he joins Artosis and Sku in Media in some capacity. Would be cool to see the revival of Media. Either way I'm sure this is the right choice for them and hopefully the split was amiable.
GL to Tasteless in his next non-Gom endeavor!

He's probably mocking HuK who said he was coming to back to NA but then said it was an April Fool's Joke (though it the 31st) but is now known to be actually coming back for MLG.

I wouldn't mind seeing tasteless and artosis joining Team Liquid. I know that Nazgul said that it's really time consuming managing the team, so having 1 or 2 of the archons to help would be pretty awesome. Also, I know that they still have aspirations to continue their programing careers.

I think this, as the OP has mentioned, has more to do with the fact that there is no one left in EG to manage in Korea.

I wish he would elaborate, but until he does the best we can do here is speculate. I'd also keep an eye on the Evil Geniuses site to see if they release any kind of statement too. This is all of course assuming this isn't some early April Fools joke >.<
