He could've waited until he actually got demoted to Code A to start his military service and win some good money, but he chose not to.

good decision LiveForever I think Military services is pretty mandatory in Korea, so I dont think he was like "I'm gonna go to the army" but more like he was called in for military service This. He probably figured he got lucky to get into Code S with Leenock blowing the games and he probably thought he would get eaten alive, so might as well start his two year mandatory military service. "Well I got lucky, and I dont need those 1500$, so I'll throw them away and go to the military now instead of in 6-12months (dont know how often they draft people)" Seems really unlikely to me. Anyone knows more about the mandatory military service? Do you have to request to take part later? Or do you just show up when you feel like it?
You generally decide when you start your military service. If you have been residing in Korea, I believe you just have to do it sometime before when you are at a certain age (late 20's, but don't quote me on that). Some people do it right after high school and some do it during or after university.

Jook is dead last on the ELO ranking, at 3-13, How he was in Code S is beyond me
|
If his nickname is correct, he could be one hero marine. GL to him.
I definitely want Leenock to advance. His play was, although bad in that series, usually pretty good and exciting.

people are overrating leenock too much, he had 1 good set, then broke down game after

Anyone know if there will be an English stream or not? If no English, will I be able to get onto the Korean stream from gomtv.net or do I need another link?

Leenock or Maka and i am happy!
|
When Maka has his shit together, I think he's the best of these guys, but sometimes his decision making is awful. The way he went out of GSL 1 was just so disappointing, trying to cheese when he was a far better macro player than LiveForever and up a game at that. And how he dropped down to Code A was just embarrassing. It's hard to imagine how he plays so brilliantly at other times. I think Leenock or Cezanne is going to take this, though Polt or Rain cheesing them out is not out of the question.

MakaPrimeTime!
Or
1) Leenock 2) Rain 3) Cezanne
Sorry, Moon, you're just not solid enough... YET another season in Code A will do you wonders compared to getting smashed in S. To everyone who shits on Rain, go watch any of his other games and you'll realize it took more than just luck to become a finalist.
Rain has quite an amount of skill, don't toss him away just yet.
edit: IS THIS BEING STREAMED?

|
Yah was wondering the same thing. Not sure if it's being streamed at all. Supposed to be starting now

It did take luck if he didn't get that lucky EMP on Squirtle's Sentries he would of lost in round of 16. Getting Hongun for a Semi opponent? Lucky as heck.

I closed the event to eliminate any confusion. I don't think it can be watched live.

Maka, Leenock, or Cezanne would be good in my opinion. I want to say Moon as well, but I don't feel he's quite at Code S level yet. Hopefully he shows good games in Code A and advances next season!

I'm rooting for Leenock, from what I've seen he's code S material and the more zergs that are competing the better.
