P.S. Get ready for more Server explosions. BoxeR is vsing GSL S1 Winner Fruitdealer in Blizzcon. Blizzard you better watch your servers when this happens!
Blizzard has more/better servers than GOMTv has. Blizzard supports WoW, so I'm sure they are ready.
GOMTV has massive streaming servers too, they have been a major online TV broadcaster in Korea for many years. I suspect Boxer v FruitDealer will bring down Blizzard streaming servers within minutes after game starts.
while blizzard MIGHT have the capacity to support this many viewers. I am quite certain they will underestimate the amount of koreans watching by a good few 100k, I wouldn't have believed that boxer was THIS big in korea still, there are only about 50 million inhabitaants, so about 2% of the population was watching boxer's first major sc2 tournament.
holy mother of god that is a lot of viewers. I never played sc1 so I'm not a big fanboy of boxer, but damn i love him just for the ammount of publicity he is bringing to sc2.
seriously, boxernim is a pimp. dating a milf and pulling the strings of 774,866+ people...with a game. will he be remembered 100 years later, as the godfather of esports?
lets see what nada brings on the last day of ro64.
I'm thankful that Boxer is playing SC2 and from the looks of it, in good form. I don't think he'll make it past th ro4 in GSL because there's too many good players, but there's a good chance he vs. Nada in the ro8. That matchup would be epic. Seems like it's both of their best matchups TvT.
Props to Blizzard for recognizing his popularity and putting him in the show. I think it will not only sell more virtual tickets, but there is that possibility of overloading during his match.

props to GomTV that I was able to watch the HQ stream (which is honestly not that HQ, but still...) during the BoxeR games and everything was fine streamwise
sucks to be Happiness aka the sacrificial lamb - what a lose-lose scenario. At least he was trying

Or they can do everything in their power to make sure that Boxer get far in this tourney :D
The temptation to fix games must be awfully strong. I have no idea of they would and I'm not implying they are likely to. However, if him winning makes the difference of about 500k viewers then the gomtv execs must be sweating when he plays.
You know i wasnt around during that whole sc1 craze but im always one for loving heroes and comebacks. And i sincerely hope this guy wins the tournament despite the fact that im a zerg player and almost never root for non zergers. I mean, i couldnt tell if his play today was INSANE,ok,mediocre or bad. I couldnt.just as the Artosis and Tasteless were, i too was nervous and sweating and couldnt think straight. Anyway, cheers to the Emperor
