This thread shows signs in the first page, and by page 3 it's already some harsh words and random bashing being trown around. I'm not special, I'm not a great SC player or TL poster. But I find it a bit sad that we need to bash our collective head against the proverbial wall stating our disagreement over every detail we can find differentiating opinions about.
Options is a good thing. Freedom to choose is to. Multitude is a privilege that should be embraced. Diversity rules! If we have this one guy that obviously is passionate about the game, gives a lot for free, doesn't ruin or take away from anyone elses efforts, is respectful to his peers, and is a contributing part of an active StarCraft community. Shouldn't we accept him even if it's simply isn't our cup of tea? Appreciate him in a way even? And if he does or dosn't make a buck from it shouldn't be of anyones concern.
The point is. Don't be so negative and confront all all the time, that goes for all of us!
If you like Husky, say something nice, if you morn Poly, sing a hymn with the rest of us. If you don't, well say something else that is positive and contributes in some way. Don't bash just for the sake of it. This isn't a thread about Huskys qualities as a caster. This is just a showoff of a bit of SCII spinoof that some might find funny, others not. Nothing more. Nothing less. Constructive criticism is a fin art. If you don't feel up for it, leave the critic at home until you figure it out. Please. I just want TL to be the best it can be

Well this was what this thread was about. Making people smile for a couple of minutes. Me myself rather watch Day9 or GomTV then Husky, but Huky has it's place for me as enterteinment to. The Pylo meme makes me smile beacuse it's so absurldy nerdy that me geekyness goes trought the roof.
That is why I quote Shardz, seems to be his first post btw, beacuse this thread has deraild so much I personally find it emberresing and he points out a good point acording to me.
An oh, if someone missunderstood I'm not the creator of any of these video, I don't have that kind of talent or even know how to upload a video to youtube, sorry if that wasn't clear
------ OP post -----
Hello all,
Didn't see this around and didn't find anything with search. For does that have missed this, SCII has it's first fallen hero. Pylo the Pylon.
If I'm not making any sense right now, maybe it's is beacuse you haven't watch Huskys cast of the WhiteRa vs BratOK match. Husky haden't sleept and had a crazy funny cast going
Here is the quick fix:
Well, this seemed to have snowballed big time, I don't know if it is a offical challange somewhere or somehing, but tributes are popping up all over tha place!
This sort of thing is why I almost love the StarCraft community moer then the actuall game

Several little known facts. Humour is subjective, We and I are not the same thing and your individual opinion matters more to you than it does to everyone else.
I think the point that we can take from this is that Husky made 200,000+ subscribers care about a pylon and nobody cares about your opinion that it's not funny :>

New meme, RIP videos for the ego the poster that just owned...
between pylo and the ultralisk from tear of ultralist, it looks like zerg and protoss need merge into xel naga and complete the cycle again.
Have xel nega woops some earthling ass
Starcraft 3: Revenge of the Xel Nagas Available race: Terran, Xel Nagas
Terran would be more or less similar to current terran
Xel Naga: 100 mineral pylo that serve as detector, power field and watch tower basic infantry unit: xel naga warrier, 200 HP 200 shield, regen health and HP, attack with psyonic storm.

Why does everything Husky says when he's feeling lazy get turned into something big? And yes, he SAID it was because it was lazy. On air. On the MLG stream. Try to contradict me.

That's what I hear, because that's what you're saying. It's also why every thread mentioning Husky ends up getting closed because sadly, a small minority of this community are insufferably irritating elitists.
does husky realize what his own voice sounds like when he gets excited?
almost certainly. one of the things i like about husky is that he's fully aware of what a dork he is, and he embraces it.
that's great, but it makes for bad casting
that and he doesn't know anything
Uhm no, his excitement is the best thing about his casts.
But man, you don't get it, he's a terrible caster and that staggering popularity and sponsor influence he has is due to some kind of subliminal mind control embedded into each of his videos.
*The prevailing TL view amongst people who should know better*
I really don't understand why TL hates on HD and Husky so much. They are both excellent casters, and they both have a huge following and add a lot to the SC2 community. The people on here should be happy about that, and the people who aren't have probably been so indoctrinated by the srs bsns police that they can never find joy.
But that's not what this thread is about. It is about Pylo.

Seriously dude I remember you being a nice guy back in the day. Seems that Youtube partnership gave you a huge e-peen.
He highers his voice so that stupid people can get manipulated easier and go with the flow because he knows shit about the game I don't hate him, though, I only think he's a BIT overdoing it with the Storm screams. Foreigners screaming GG and STORM imitating koreans sound so, fucking, bad

Perhaps it's TL's 'my way or the highway' approach and endless vitriol against both friends and myself that made me stop putting in the effort to be nice to disrespectful people.
Husky and HD have already stopped posting here any more than is absolutely necessary thanks to the hate they get on a regular basis and honestly I'm considering doing the same. The close-minded attitude of certain, vocal members of this community is intensely off-putting.

I rest my case.
I have a whole bunch of friends who watch every game HD/Husky put out, and who tried to watch Day 9 and 5 minutes through their first video stopped watching and told me it was too technical and they didn't like it.
I think those people would probably disagree with the statement that Day 9 is a better caster than Husky.
And I think there are a lot of people like that, and that's probably why Husky is way, way, way more popular than Day 9.
I like Day 9, but I can understand why a lot of people wouldn't like him, and if I were sponsoring a tournament, I'd want the casters who could garner the largest fanbase, and would hire Husky over Day 9.

All this kind of thing smells of is butthurt, an endless void of butthurt that shows a complete lack of understanding of what makes SC2 an entertaining spectator sport. This WHY ARE THESE GUYS SO MUCH MORE POPULAR THAN EVERYONE ELSE thing is getting very, very old. TL owes HD and Husky a great deal for one thing, who do you think introduced them to their sponsors? Who do you think brought people to the scene to begin with? They were and still are, the gateway drug to higher level casting and they know it. They've never claimed otherwise and yet all some people like you want to do is take as big a dump on them as you can to make yourself feel better. It's pretty pathetic to be honest, a shoddy display.

What the fuck are you smoking? TL was around long before Husky and HD. TL ran massive sponsored tournaments before Husky and HD. I'm not asking why they are more popular, I know why: because they were first. You need to shut the hell up and try reading responses you arrogant fuck.
I think you two might be steering the thread off the rails a bit. Post about Pylo or expand your undeniable love for eachother using PMs or a series of YouTube response videos, imo.
I loved the song, very original, not a fan of the "pylo" thing though, but i like how everyone else is, for some reason
But really i dont know why people dislike Husky. He might not know alot about the game, but that isnt what casting is about anyways, it's about entertaining people. I dont need to know when someone is 4 gating, or when somebody is cannon rushing, i can see that. What i want is for someone to keep me entertained and spectate around the map for me, and Husky is brilliant at that.
I think the reason that alot of people on TL dont like Husky is that they feel that they are somehow "too good" to watch him, or that his videos are meant for lesser skilled players.
"Arg, his silly voice annoys me, and he doesnt know anything about the meta game bla bla bla" - well arent you a sad and boring person?
HD and Husky are GREAT for SC2, fact is they are the first and best place for casual players to get acquainted with SC2 as a spectator sport, we need people like that for E-sports to get big. Besides, they are charming, they seem like nice guys, why all the hate?

The correlation is that some of the more vocal members of this community are elitist jerks.

Explain the rationale behind contributing to a community that tolerates vile and abusive remarks aimed at some of the people that helped it the most. There comes a point where it's just not worth the hassle.
Such a shame, I really enjoyed most of your old posting but now your kind of a dick.

There is little reason to pretend to respect a group that doesn't respect you and your colleagues in return. We aren't talking about 'I don't like Husky' opinions here, we're talking about actual flames, abuse and even personal insults being levelled at him and others. It's bullshit and I ain't putting up with it. I'm certainly not going to play Mr Niceguy for a bunch of jerks who haven't lifted a finger to help the scene in any way (not referring to you, regardless of your insults). That guy existed in the beta because people were genuinely enthusiastic about many kinds of casting, understood that there were different levels of understanding in both the audience and the casting scene as well as various different styles, all of which were equally valid. Once the game came out, that attitude seemed to fade away in favour of 'this is the way it must be' and that will, absolutely, hurt the community in the long run, because that's not how the majority of the spectators think and the majority of the spectators are what bring in the advertising dollars which get the players paid and grow the competitive scene.
What the fuck are you smoking? TL was around long before Husky and HD. TL ran massive sponsored tournaments before Husky and HD. I'm not asking why they are more popular, I know why: because they were first. You need to shut the hell up and try reading responses you arrogant fuck.
Massive, stonking irony in that statement. Everytime I've seen you post the stench of elitism and arrogance is overpowering, not to mention how obnoxious you are to everyone who disagrees with you. Maybe you're just a little butthurt that someone is pointing that out for a change.

Because they aren't excellent casters. When I was a kid, I went to a summer camp just outside Aiur with a few classmates. I don't remember how old we were, maybe 8 or 9.
We were at the creek one day with some balsa wood and glue, and we were trying to build model ships and get them to float. Well, I wasn't very good at it, but the teacher paired me up with this great guy, a little Pylon who lived downtown. He and I made the absolute best boat, and we won the boat race after.
I was flipping through my photos the other day, and I saw a picture of us, and I had to see how my camp partner was doing, so I looked him up in the phone book and gave him a call. That's when I heard the news.

So do you want to explain why that following didn't just evaporate as soon as 'better' casters came along? Simple answer is that people like different things and the majority of spectators prefer a lower level play-by-play style over a highly analytical technical style. Only need look at the numbers to see that is the case.

Just have to point out that you`re really not making a good impression. If I was to judge Husky and HD based on the stuff you write I`d be pretty negative towards them aswell. TL Butthurt Brigade? What?
The fact is pretty simply that the people that frequent TL may have a different approach to SC2 than the people who watch HD and Husky (SCBW experience, more intense\hardcore\obsessive\OCD\addicted to it like meth relationship to SC2/SCBW) and therefore they are not as popular here as elsewhere. Different populations within one game. No need to go all crazy.

I don't think it is disrespectful for people to say they don't find something funny, I think its pretty disrespectful to flame people for saying so though.
Why does it matter to you so much that people don't like or do like something, like you say, they are subjective opinions, no need to get so shirty because someone's opinion differs from yours.
The irony of this statement is that it's the vocal minority TL Butthurt Brigade that thinks this way. WHY OH WHY DO SO MANY PEOPLE LIKE THESE CASTERS THAT I DON'T LIKE, to the point of actively flaming said casters at every possible opportunity whenever their name is brought up.
I am glad that I watch your videos so I was able to read this and make it sound like you were saying it with your accent haha.

I'm sure I do not have to point out that my opinions are my alone and don't represent anyone else.

Haters are gonna hate no matter what, thats just got meaningless there lives are I for one, got to know tl because of HD/Husky. and im sure thousands more!
I respect all casters
RIP Pylo
That's pretty much it yes. Casters are important to the scene, popular casters especially so and it does the community no good at all if people like tofucake go out of their way to flame them at every possible opportunity.
Yes, I'm annoyed by it and if that makes me sound like an asshole so be it. Why be respectful to the disrespectful?
Come on guys. Seriously. don't derail this thread if it is possible. Why can't we just get along (in respect to the mourning of Pylo of course).
Please. I just want TL to be the best it can be
/Rant off
P.S. My english is bad, sorry, trying as best i can D.S.

This is the best way it could be said.
You're free to like or not like whoever you want for whatever reason.
But even if you don't like one of these casters, you shouldn't deride their efforts, because their efforts are making the game larger and better. You can and should be happy about that seperate of watching their casts, and should not flame a thread dedicated to the caster you don't like watching.
It's mean, and counter intuitive to creating a healthy gaming community.

Unfortunately there are an unruly amount of bad casters and many sheep. There is nothing you can do about this. It is what it is.
Let the sheep continue to follow their Shepherd's I say. Everyone wants to cast unfortunately. It's very annoying when you have to let 5-6 different casters into your game. On a side note: I want LAN back.

I like both. Husky and Day9 are my favourites, but tbh i am not so bad at this game that i need to be told what every single move does like some of the more "pro" players tjhat hate husky and HD seems to need. I can see what is happening, i can draw my conclusions and i am right 99% of the times if not more. Thats why i prefere humor and relaxed castings with voices i can stand showing exitment! Same deal with other sports listening to commentators rambling statistics and game knowledge bores me to tears.
And on a side note i am disgusted on how bad most "pro"players are at microing in this game. Jesus i just wanna ripp my eyes out everytime i see a pro use his high templars with 100+ energy in his main controll group and gets them killed becuse he dont care they are charging in to melee rage of a MM ball... etc etc. but thats OT :p

I still enjoy them. What I am looking for in commentary is what day9 does: let's me understand what players are doing. I don't need someone screaming to my ears or making constant casting mistakes that just keeps bugging me. Casters like djWheat don't have knowledge, but he lets day9 talk, doesn't interrupt him at all (referring to WCG BW USA finals) that's is fine and I can accept it.

It's incredible how much hate people can spew out at casters. People are doing it not just to Husky and HD, but even Artosis and Tasteless are getting constantly bashed in the GSL Live report threads.
It's not hard to figure out that HD and Husky have played some part in the recent soar in TL members, myself definitely included. I started out watching Husky's vids on youtube, and now I'm paying for a premium sub for the GSL, and I've watched every major tournament so far. Totalbiscuit's analogy of Husky and HD being a gateway drug to higher-level games and gameplay analysis is definitely 100% correct in my case, and I'm sure I'm not alone.
Thank you Husky, for introducing me to e-sports.
Also, thanks to all of the other amazing casters out there: Day[9], Tasteless, Artosis, HD, PsyStarcraft, Totalbiscuit, and many others. You are what makes this community great; don't let people get to you.

That would be because those of us who've been here for a while have seen them both for years. They are pretty bad compared to their former selves.
Seeing the video and then reading through the thread I just can't help but wonder why are some people raging to the point of foam coming from their mouths. The video wasn't that good, nor was it that horrible. I definitely enjoy Huskies videos on youtube along side HDs videos. They really got me hooked on starcraft during the beta and were significant in my decision on buying the game instead of just pirating it for the single player.
Through their videos I've learned about TL.net and it's great community. The good moderation and lack of endless 4chan garbage makes this place a shining beacon in the cesspool that is the internet. Please don't tarnish the sites reputation just because you don't like a caster. Obviously you're entitled to you opinion and welcomed to voice it since this is a forum, but if you don't have anything nice to say either leave some constructive criticism or STFU.
Like someone posted before this, all of the casters are on the same side. There is no competition between them on who has the most youtube subscribers or who has the most zealous fanbase. Some casters cater to the more casual viewer who wants more humor in the videos and other cater to the hardcore crowd who wants to know about all sorts of nifty tricks they can pull off to gain an edge over their opponent.
We should all get along and support the people who are bringing e-sports to the masses, it's what Pylo would have wanted.

I'd actually argue that it was partially because Tasteless and Artosis seem to be doing the same style of casting as HD/Husky, a more humor-based and slightly less informative kind of casting.
Even if you dislike Husky for whatever your reasons( usually as part of a elitist delusion of your own skill level) you can still appreciate this video. I found it amusing.

As for the casters, SC2 wise, and being one myself, i think we're not even close to the point where every potential fan / viewer is at reach distance and that we shouldnt all stand on the same side of the barricade. The community just started to grow and hopefully will continue on the following years so better not break it this early pls, theres plenty of room for anyone willing to help making it grow stronger or we'll never get e-sports to the stature they should be.
Whoever doesnt enjoy shoutcaster "A" or "B" feel free to not watch it and not susbcribe it. Invest your time into the ones you enjoy watching instead of wasting time on destructive overagression on an online game.
Time will show us all the prefered shoutcasting formats leading more or less people into following certain shoutcasters as we're clearly in a transition phase.
Keep up the good work and focus on what matters wich is to make e-sports so big that it will be impossible to not notice it. Or eventually there wont be any fans to provide shoutcasts to.
Hey husky, I know you're reading and posting in this thread, STOP SPLITTING YOUR VIDEOS UP FOR MORE MONEY. Have some respect for your audience and use your partnership so that we can actually watch a full game uninterrupted. Same goes to HD.

You dislike him producing entertainment for you whilst trying to earn a living?
Wait why is everyone angry that Husky has a large following even though he's not 'good'? He has enough knowledge to cast the game for the casual gamer right? It's not like you need to be Diamond 1.7k to cast in an entertaining way. I hope you guys realise how much attention Husky is bringing to SC2.
I do not watch Husky's videos anymore, I find them uninformative and boring. I don't find this whole Pylo thing funny at all. But I don't think Husky deserves any hate at all. This is my opinion. There was a time though when I had absolutely no interest in bw/wc3/sc2 and I stumbled across some HD/Husky casts on youtube and they had me hooked. What can I say, the videos were fucking awesome when I didn't play SC2 at all. Now how can you say publicity is a bad thing? Yeah I don't like them anymore but I can easily understand why so many people like them, especially when the target audience is the casual gamer. SC2 casts constantly make the front page of youtube (most viewed Sports and Entertainment etc.) thanks to Husky and HD, sure they get paid for it but it's a two way relationship, it's not easy to maintain a huge number of subs/views without getting stale.
@ The people defending him, you're not really helping when you refer to TL as butthurt and that TL owes him something.

yeah, how dare he tries to make a buck with those 3 extra clicks per cast?? ITS OUTRAGEOUS!

I think Husky is allowed to say that he's lazy.
I run a play by email game from my personal site, and I update it every day. It's easily 20+ hours a weeks worth of work. That's a lot of work for something I don't get paid for, but I enjoy it.
There are some things that I know I could do for my site that I don't. It's not because I don't want it to be a good site, I just don't want to put more time into it. In that light, I can call myself lazy. And I have called myself lazy in front of my members before.
But if they called me lazy, I would tear their heads off. And they don't call me lazy, because they respect what I do for them for free, even if it's at times not perfect.
I can agree that saying something like that in the MLG stream is slightly unprofessional. I think it's unprofessional that Artosis and Tasteless in the GSL streams are consistently discussing who they think will win or lose like it's obvious and not trying to create a tense and exciting game even if it might not exist. HD and Husky don't do this, they try to keep the excitement level high even if the game is one-sided.
But I wouldn't call any of the three of them bad casters, even though they occasionally do things that I don't like, or that I wouldn't do. The proof that they're good casters is in the pudding. They're being hired to cast things. They get sponsors. They have large followings. What makes somebody a good caster is if they make the game more entertaining to watch, and get people who would otherwise not watch it to watch it. Husky does that very well.
I wouldn't call you lazy, or a bad tech support guy, because I think you're acting like a douchebag. From running my own site, and just from common sense, I know how much work that is. It's a lot of work.
But I do think you're acting like a douchebag, and it is giving me a bad impression of the sites and people you represent because of it. I'm also less inclined to watch TotalBiscuits videos after this thread too, because even though he's taking the same side of this ridiculous argument as me, he was also being kind of a douchebag.
Point is, I think the amount of venom you've put into this thread is unwarranted and ridiculous, and I wish you would stop. Just because Husky called himself lazy doesn't mean you have carte blanche to flame and completely derail an otherwise humorous thread.
I haven't done a great job of keeping things on topic either, and for that I apologize. To Pylo

Such a shame, I really enjoyed most of your old posting but now your kind of a dick.
Best of luck in the future, but I think you need to stop thinking your king shit because you got a bunch of Youtube subs.
Very well said TotalBiscuit. The only reason I'm even into StarCraft 2 is because of HDStarcraft's YouTube commentaries, in fact I even won a beta key from HD and I'm very grateful for his contributions not only to my gaming, but the SC2 scene in general. I'm sure I'm not the only one. I do now prefer Day[9] and Tastosis for my more high-level game commentaries, but when it comes to pure entertainment and excitement, I enjoy HD's/Husky's and your style of casting immensely. You are all helping SC2 and eSports grow, so I think you deserve a little respect for it. Even if people don't like their casting, that's no reason to be insulting towards them.
I don't get all the hate, was I the only one that enjoyed When Day[9} and Husky were teamed during MLG? You've got Day giving you all the technical info and the clever observational stuff, and you have Husky being a hugely enthusiastic colour commentator. They provide different sides to the same role, there's a reason most sports have 2-3 commentators usually a personality and an ex-pro or so. One provides the entertainment the other provides the technical side. Hell even Pro-Wrestling is the same.. one does the play by play, the other fills in the blanks with the colour comms.

I watched the MLG and I think he also added he didn't like the sound of it (one-one-one build).
Plus, I'm pretty sure Husky had some pronunciation problems (which was it again, zergling? I can't remember...), which could factor in the fact he changed the name of the build.
In my opinion, the qualities I look up to in a caster is the attention he will give to details in-game. I could careless about the fact that he cannot pronounce a word properly.

this. thank you.
you're flattering yourself if you think everyone in the world should be educating themselves in sc2.
sc2 is a spectator sport. the casual audience is just as important to the game as the pros that keep it entertaining.

The reason I don't watch HD and Husky is because I think their product is good. The reason I dislike them is the Idra bashing. Maybe they have stopped doing it already, I don't know, but it was going for a long enough time.
However, I am pretty sure that so many people have bad things to say about HD and Husky is their followers: there is nothing more annoying than a newbie and a fanboy at the same time. Being a newbie is absolutely fine, being a fanboy is not necessarily annoying, but being both at the same time is often hard to handle.
P.S. The Pylo joke is a bit funny, but it is too similar to Tasteless' pandabearguy to make a big thing out of it.

You're forgetting that Husky doesn't work for free anymore
Whether or not Husky gets paid for it has no basis in the discussion.
If anything, the fact that people will pay him to cast is evidence that he is a good caster. I doubt anybody would pay me to cast something.
I am going to go out on a limb and guess that Husky's childlike enthusiasm when casting games is not fake, and pre-designed as a way to get paid. Maybe I am wrong. Maybe he is only after that lucrative E-Sports casting market. It's possible.
But his own interests in doing it are unrelated to whether or not he is good at it. I played the violin when I was like 8 years old. I was really god damn good at it, and professionals were saying I was some sort of child violin prodigy. I hated that shit and my parents made me do it and I don't do it anymore. But I could have probably stuck with it and done it for money even though I hated it, and that wouldn't have made me bad at playing the violin.
I wouldn't say Husky is perfect. I wouldn't say Starcraft 2 is perfect. I wouldn't say this Pylo joke is the wittiest thing I have ever seen in my life.
But giving constructive criticism or saying something isn't perfect is entirely different than saying something is bad.
And even if you do think he is bad, why flame him? Do you think that will make him do what you want? Even if he's only after it for the money, he's bringing new bodies to Starcraft 2. He's increasing the ratings of all of these streams and tournaments.
IMO, if he's only in it for the money, and it's having that good an effect on the community and on E-Sports, then more power to him. We should pay him more, then maybe he will work harder. He deserves it.

He gets paid because Youtube gives him money because he's a partner, and he got a lot of viewers because he was first. So there's lots of viewers and people new to the scene think "oh he's got lots of viewers, that must mean he's the best" so they watch and he gets more ad revenue and more views, so MLG goes "hey he's got lots of viewers, that must mean he's the best". If that's true then why did MLG hire Day 9? You think they didn't do their homework and pick a team of casters that would augment each others strengths and weaknesses? I guess they too are dumb.
Youtube is set up in a format that makes it so people with a lot of subscribers and hits will get more subscribers and hits. This is true.
But having good stuff on your channel is important too. I watch the Day 9 Daily every morning. I do this because I work from home, and I can watch it while I work. It is entertaining.
But I haven't subscribed to Day 9's youtube channel, and probably the only reason I haven't is because he doesn't post his videos in HD, and I feel like if he won't take the time to do whatever's necessary to do that (I honestly don't know, maybe he needs a better computer), then I don't need to take the time to log into my youtube account and subscribe to him. Not a fair trade, but I'm sure a lot of people feel the same way.
By your logic, that makes Day 9 lazy, and therefor a bad caster.

There are tons of horrible casters out there but unless they're popular people don't bother saying anything at all, they'll just not watch or turn off the sound.

Lies, that is not the cycle at all.
1. Before you had beta, watch HD and Husky to get SC2 videos 2. Get beta key by preordering because you wanted to play because it looks good 3. Learn about TL from HD and Husky talking about how awesome it is 4. Learn about Day9 because he played in their tournament and got lots of praise for being the go to guy for SC encyclopedic knowledge and know how 5. Watch Day9 Daily 6. Phase out HD and Husky in most situations because you watch the daily to learn how to be better and play the rest of the time 7. Buy GSL subscription because you want to see high level Korean games 8. Defend HD and Husky because even though you didn't see Pylo die first hand, you still know it was them that got you where you are.
Which is where? On TL, in diamond league, and watching SC2 for spectator value instead of playing the game in low level leagues because studying others playing the game is stupid, it's only a video game.

And even if they did, I'd much rather he did it on youtube, because youtube is just a much better interface. The chunks aren't so bad, and you can set up playlists so that a p.1 automatically loads to a p.2, which I wish HD and Husky would do.

Which is where? On TL, in diamond league, and watching SC2 for spectator value instead of playing the game in low level leagues because studying others playing the game is stupid, it's only a video game.
RIP Pylo you were and are still an inspiration.
Almost correct for me,I try and catch the Day[9]'s every morning if i have time.. or later on. But I still check Husky and HD for something fun to watch While I'm eating etc, they showcase good players and the casts themselves are entertaining. No matter how good I get at SC (I suck..) I'm never going pro.. so I enjoy SC on different levels. to be competitive with my friends, and as entertainment. And Drewbie v Socke.. a Husky and HD cast at MLG was one of the most entertaining games I've watched. Maybe because they get caught up in things and miss minute details.. it may piss off elitists, but I think everyone jumped simultaneously when that mothership popped out. Good Drama and entertainment is sometimes better than always being perfect imo.

PYLO, IL REP OUR HOOD FOR LIFE!!!
Sorry? I'm not jealous that hes a terrible commentator. He is a shout caster, that tells the viewer what they are watching, and he isn't bad at just that. When he finds moments where action is boring, he entertains the audience with random shenanigans like pylo which I found uneventful. I'm annoyed how its taken off to be a meme. Considering the pylon was a standard pylon and it had nothing special going for it. Seemed like he was trying to be like tasteless and his panda bear. (though i found this more funny since it was a repetitive thing and it had history, you would lose the match if you killed the panda bear). Commentating a game, involves analysis on whats going on in the game. Husky specifically (his analysis of a game) is just terrible. Which is why I would rather watch someone who can let me know whats going on, as well as entertain me (hello day9/tasteless and others) Husky is also a air time hog. In the end, HDHusky does a fine job with bringing in new starcraft2 fans with their shout casting, but even for a casual viewer and tournaments, better to be going with someone that can actually commentate a game.
Guys, Husky is doing more for the esports community than you or I will ever do. Stop hating on him just because he doesnt have your preferred casting style. If you want to see esports become big in the west, then support this man!

So what if im not doing anything for esports, neither is pylo. Korea is esports right now, husky isn't. He supports tournaments great, doesn't mean his shout casting is helping esports.
edit This thread really isn't about husky being a good caster or not its about pylo. Which i just find that uneventful and pointless
A simple parallel: HD and Husky are like...Stephen Colbert or Glen Beck. (Just being fair to both political sides here)
You watch all of them for entertainment value, and they have been immensely successful providing that entertainment. Hence, their large fan bases. Sure, all of them say things that are wrong, pretty frequently. But you are watching them for fun, and many people have a lot of fun watching it. Understandable yes?
Now, here is the difference: HD and Husky talk about a game. There are no adverse effects on society, and any religious zeal that people have in following them has NO IMPACT ON YOU, OR THE REST OF THE WORLD. HD and Husky aren't leading a big pack of tea partiers or hippy-dippies to try to change the world "for the better" *gag*.
For those if you who think HD and Husky are bad for the SC community - remember that the people that watch them are by-and-large low level players, and just trying to have fun - not learn the latest day9 techniques. Until you see a bunch of people dressed like zealots and wearing husky t-shirts storm Washington D.C., DON'T WORRY!
(On a side note, is it just me or is day9 starting to let the quality of his casting slip...too much time casting and too little time keeping up with the game...? Definitely haven't been able to watch him for the last few weeks, even though I followed him daily for several months...Perhaps I'm having the same problem with day9 that most of you husky haters are having with husky...QUICK, LETS FIND EVERY THREAD WITH DAY9 IN IT AND START HATING! Now that you guys know what it appears that you are doing with husky, does it put it in perspective?)

Like it was said hundreds of time - I don't owe HDH anything. They make videos and they get paid for it.
If by bigger e-sports you mean kids who say Idra is terrible player or maybe those who keep whining on gomtv forums/day9 how bad they are because videos aren't in 1080p quality than no thanks.

Lazy asshole.
I don't think people realize how long it takes to edit a video, render it, and upload it. Commentating is relatively easy and low on time consumption, and yet it's still at least a part time job.
I think he's a bad commentator, so I don't watch his videos (usually). But I sure as hell don't bitch that he wants to make SOME return for all of the time spent.

you resort to insults? He has a valid point, most people are forced to host games in parts, while he has the ability to host a full game in one video. He chooses to host in parts for more money, this is very annoying to a viewer. I myself am usually do several things at once, and its very annoying to have stop what im doing to go to the next video. what about people with slower internet speeds, they have to buffer 3 videos at once now a head of time instead of letting one video buffer to a set place and then being able to watch. It is more than just pressing next.

My "insults" were completely spot on and accurate. They were not baseless by any means. I didn't "resort" to them: they were apparent and worth adding.
He doesn't have a valid point. If you're watching the video, then anything else you might be doing at the time won't stop you from pressing "next". It takes just as much time for one video to buffer as it does for three smaller videos in succession, so having a slower connection is irrelevant. So no, it's not more than just pressing "next".
The only reason anyone would bother to bring it up is because they know he's only splitting them up to make money. They have a problem with that, because they are petty. He's giving himself (if there are 3 parts) 3 times as much income, without causing any additional non-negligible hassle for the viewer. It's a 100% completely logical and acceptable thing for husky to do.
So in conclusion, if you have a problem with what he's doing, then you're just lazy and/or don't like it when people make money the way he is (subconscious jealousy?).
I have nothing against you or the original guy I was responding to. I think you guys don't even realize it when you say it, but you're being annoyed by the fact that he's making money, and it makes no sense. If anything, you should encourage him to split the videos up, since you want him to be successful and make more videos.
TL;DR: "Oh no! .1 APM required to watch Husky videos! This is an outrage!"
I do not get why people are constantly insulting the casting of HD and Husky. If you are a casual player, you will enjoy HD and Huskys commentaries. If you do not enjoy watching their commentaries, just don't watch them. Some people obviously thought that this was a really funny joke and that is all that matters right? Putting smiles on some people faces is always a good thing, and if it didn't put a smile on yours, you don't have to insult Husky or anything, just don't comment if you do not have anything positive to say. Anyone who is taking this seriously is being extremely closed minded. HD and Husky's commentaries are not bad, they are for the casual gamer, not someone who plays at a high level. IMO they did not get on top because they were first, but because they knew how to appeal to a good crowd who prefer entertaining commentaries over informative commentaries. If you think their casting is bad, keep it yourself and don't watch their videos. So there is nothing to complain about =/.

Husky and HD have already stopped posting here any more than is absolutely necessary thanks to the hate they get on a regular basis and honestly I'm considering doing the same. The close-minded attitude of certain, vocal members of this community is intensely off-putting.
I don't think it is disrespectful for people to say they don't find something funny, I think its pretty disrespectful to flame people for saying so though.
Why does it matter to you so much that people don't like or do like something, like you say, they are subjective opinions, no need to get so shirty because someone's opinion differs from yours.
I agree with him. Why say negative things if you weren't asked? Sorry but that's lack of social intelligence. Without being asked your opinion when you see a beautiful girl you might tell her that, but would you tell an ugly one that? What's the point really? If you don't like it, and no one asked your opinion, don't criticize. Go read "how to win friends and influence people." or just go out more and see how socially savvy people do it. Well by making a thread about a video he is more or less "asking" for feedback on it, otherwise he would not have put it on a forum, you know, where you give your opinions.

What makes the internet full of hate is anonymity, not the lack of social skills.
To the dense: it's extra funny that the comment that spawned the Pylo meme was so insignificant. It's like when someone drops their ice cream in a sit-com or something and it goes into a dramatic screaming pan out. It's comedy. Fucking laugh at it.

Go do it then man. Go watch whoever you want. But its very rude of you to insult the man who has brought us HDH and HDH2 when you havent done anything even close for the community (as far as I know, sorry if this isnt the case) especially considering the fact that he frequents the forums here very often. Hes just another kid thats crazy about starcraft. Let him do his thing in peace, no need to bring him down. Im sorry if he isnt your cup of tea, but just let it be. Since that rhymed, im automatically right ;-]
But seriously, I was just a little shocked at how insulting people were being to this kid who hasnt done anything wrong to any of you, and in fact has only tried to do good for the community. Its okay if you dont like him, just dont watch him, but there is no good reason for disrespecting him.
What's so funny about this pylo story? I watched the game and have seen all this hype but it makes absolutely no sense as it isn't even close to funny, besides the pic which is decently humorous.
Il never forget one lonesome night not long ago. My parents had just gotten a divorce and I was going through a really rough time. I had already had a pretty fucked up childhood, my parents were never around to begin with, but when they were, I was always awake to hear my father mercilessly and drunkenly beating my mother, then raping her in the room over for me and my brother to hear. That is, until my brother went to jail for selling narcotics two years ago, I havent seen him since, then it was just me. I got into drugs really early on. I found it such an easy way to escape. I didnt have to think about the bullshit that is life while I was doping myself.
But truthfully, you can only run for so long, eventually, we all sober up. Finally one night, I had enough, I was coming down from an opium binge, and I just fucking jumped out my second story bedroom window, cracked my ankle doing it, but at least i was the hell out of the fucked up shithole that was the house I was living in. That night I scored some cheap heroin from a so called friend of mine and was busy snowballing with the rest of my coke in the alley way behind Fourth and Broadway.
Looking back at that time, I was so fucked up out of my mind, I just didnt give a shit what was going on around me. All I wanted to do was secede from existence by numbing myself in to oblivion. I had simply lost hope in humanity. We were all evil. We are all animals at heart and will only do what benefits ourselves. Regardless of the supposed good you see around you, you are all too naive to recognize the selfishness, the gluttony, and the vanity that truly drives it all. We pretend to be such noble beings, building libraries and schools, then exclude those who arent worthy, faction up to ostracize everyone else, then grab whatever you can and do anything to keep it.
My shirt was spotted with blood from the last of the coke I was doing. At that point, it had been mixed down to so much base material I was pretty much just snorting inositol, manitol, and corn starch. No wonder my nose was bleeding so much, but it started raining, so I figured it would wash out and I decided to get a move on.
I stopped at a liquor store on Lindon to drown the rest of my sorrows, and hopefully black out the fact that I just no longer cared what happened to me, or where the fuck (or even if) I would wake up the next day. I dont remember what happened the rest of that night, but I do remember coming back to some form of consciousness in the middle of a street. I open my squinted eyelids, and averted my eyes from the blinding headlights of the limo shining me down. That was the moment. Its forever ingrained in my mind. At the time I was too fucked up to appreciate it, but as time passed it would infect my mind more and more.
That was the moment I first me Pylo
He reached his hand down to me. For the first time in god knows how long, I felt the warmth of another. Merely being in his presence seemed to empower me.
Il never forget the words he spoke. "Son, I dont know how you came to be where you are, nor does it matter. The only thing you need to know, is that the Universe ultimately unfolds exactly as it should, all that you have been through can be taken as you wish, for you can use it as a crutch, or a ladder. You can allow your past to continue to dictate your life, or you can use its lessons to live how you wish. You can use it to embolden yourself, because our surroundings are only a reflection of ourselves. The power is, and always had been, in your hands. Use it, for you are divine."
He helped me up, took me to the hospital to detox, and fix my now infected ankle. He then drove me back to my broken home, no questions asked. His words slowly sunk in as I continued to live my life. Eventually, they would come to rule my actions. I was never the same after meeting Pylo. I cleaned myself up, went to community, then grad school, and am now successfully married with children. I own four premium rehab clinics across the east coast and I did it all by myself. I seized my future, I chose my fate.
But I wonder where I would be now, if I had never met Pylo on that fateful night...
Practically every game I've seen Husky commentate he usually picks some unit and puts some significance towards it, like a scouting worker or something else.
This seems just the same, so not really sure why this time everyone is going crazy about it...

If anyone actually hopes to see SC2 go mainstream, our best chances lie in the likes of HD/Husky and Artosis/Tasteless.
There will always be people who watch football, just because its fun to watch, and they don't give a flying fuck about the technicalities. For SC2, thats HD and Husky. They appeal to the large majority of people (because honestly, we, the TL-goers who are all about technicalities, are in the minority by a long shot). Artosis and Tasteless I believe provide the perfect balance in knowledge and fun when it comes to casting (<3 Tasteless) but I still think that the people who need to be marketed as the face of casting SC2 are HD and Husky.
Their casts are the ones that people are more likely to pick up on, without prior knowledge of the game, and then people will migrate to the likes of Day9.
Husky, even though I don't watch your casts very often, I want to say thank you, and keep up the good work. Without you, SC2 has no chance of becoming big.
Husky is awesome. His excitement and enthusiasm is what is casting is about. You want the public to be involved in SC2? Its the public right? Not just the people who play, but ur ordinary mom and pop, and kid who knows nothing about the game watching some guy talk about it. You want someone interested in it? Make it sound exciting. Talk a little about things someone just tuning in with little to no knowledge and how that will affect what you're watching and he does that job very well. Pylo the pylon is a fantastic example of this. He adds another element to the game that you ask yourself after the game, did that pylon last the whole game? Maybe you'll even root for it during epic battles. That kinda thing is awesome. Don't change a thing man. The song is great, the fan's picking it up after and running with it is great.
Guys Husky has done more for the community here than many casters can ever do. Husky is not trying to teach people the little things in a game. He is there for entertainment.
In professional sports in the US, it is similar to Monday Night Football or some other crew that would show football games for entertainment (HD/Husky style). Now a small kid sits their watching the football game. It turns out he really likes the game so he joins a team and gets better. Eventually he learns a lot of how to play the game from the coach who teaches the game not for entertainment but for the way that you can play to win (Day[9] style).
If it wasn't for Husky and HD then many of those people will not be coming up into the scene. I personally watched them during the early beta before i ever even was hooked on SC2 (I played SC1 for about 2 hours a week at most). They really got me hooked on the game. Now I appreciate what people like Day9 can teach me and this was able to make me a high platinum league player but I also like the pure entertainment of Husky. Without Husky I might not even be playing this game and definitely not serious in it.
Also Husky's last video which wasn't even a real pro level game but a vs AI game already has over 120,000 views. On a good day, Day9 will get maybe 6000 live views and then by the next day it might have had at most 1000 online other views. This shows that there is definitely a difference in the audience but it doesn't mean one is better or worse

True thing, and I'll also add that for the people being really expert and having good knowledge of the game, hence saying said caster is clueless etc, well those "experts" wouldn't need a caster to tell them what's going on anyway, so I don't get what all the fuzz is about, someone who could really complain about this is someone who wants to learn things and who will be upset learning wrong things, but hey, how could he know that's wrong ? --
Casters add excitement to the games to make it more enjoyable, they're not supposed to teach you anything.
But back to pylo, I saw this vod the night it was uploaded I think and it was god damn hilarious (was a series of casts being pretty epic iirc)
The thing I want to know is when on earth did Husky become such a polarizing charcater? When I joined TL in the middle of last year, back when Husky was still doing BW commentaries there was basically no hate; and certainly not all this venom. Sure, you still had some of the same arguments about him not being particularly knowledgeable, but no one really disliked the guy or what he did. Husky even used to post alot here, and was a generally liked and respected guy, but now it seems like he was really cut back on his posting because of all the crazy polarization and derailing that seems to follow.
What changed? Did he do some terribly underhand dishonest things to deserve this that I just somehow haven't even heard about? Just curious as to what might have happened for such a dramatic shift in opinions.

What changed? Did he do some terribly underhand dishonest things to deserve this that I just somehow haven't even heard about? Just curious as to what might have happened for such a dramatic shift in opinions.
Nothing has changed really. Husky and HDStarcraft were basically the only major people uploading Starcraft 2 videos at the beginning of the beta, so people looking for good SC2 Beta commentary were redirected to them. They both became very, very popular because of this attention, and they ran a major tournament that was fairly well received (HDH #1).
The only act that is remotely questionable is that once HD and Husky became YouTube partners, they were allowed to upload videos of any time limit. Instead, they still keep the videos to 10-12 minute segments. Some people complain about this and excuse them of 'trying to make money'. Neither HD or Husky has commented about it as far as I can tell and it could be for any number of reasons. Husky said it takes him around 4 hours to upload an HD segment (10-minute segment), so a possible explanation is that he doesn't want to have to reupload a 50-minute game if it fails to upload at the last minute on a 20-hour upload.
Whatever the reason, it isn't a big deal either way, it takes like 2 seconds to load the second piece of the video and it makes money for them.
Is it that wrong to try to make money anyway? Really now if you don't want them to make money YOU don't watch their videos don't try to keep bashing those that did. As i said above they did a lot for the game and were a help getting so many people into it.

I think people hate on Husky because Husky is John Madden, made for SC2. If we let Husky have a magic yellow marker, all kinds of weird shit would happen.

200,000 people disagree with you. The majority of TL.net's 5581 active members probably do as well.
Pylo is a general Starcraft 2 topic. It's an inside joke in our community.
If you want the community to consist solely of Serious Competitive Gamers then you need to get yourself a DeLorean and turn the dial to 2005 or so, when 90% of us had forgotten all about a 7 year old DOS based RTS running at 640x480.
That TL.net, unless the management collectively decides to bury their heads in the sand and circle the wagons, is gone. The new TL.net is about both BW and SC2, and the community surrounding them. Well-loved jokes from a massively popular SC2 progaming commentator are part of this community.
TL;DR - going into a thread where other people are talking about something they subjectively enjoy and pissing all over it because you subjectively don't enjoy it makes you look like a complete moron.

^^ Nice to know not everyone who posts here is some hopped up tweenager. Why do people hate on a nerdy meme... the internet is full of them. Some are completely silly.... but that is the POINT of memes. They are silly. By their very nature they are silly stupid pointless events that spawn a following simply because people find amusement in the stupidity. Its great. You don't have like it. But trying to hate a meme doesn't make you cool. It makes you a very sad person.
Don't argue that you are better because you can look down your nose at the people finding enjoyment in simple things. You are just sadder and probably very bitter about something that doesn't matter. Let the hate go and try enjoying life. Take pleasure from the random silly events around you. Man a whole thread of putrid bitterness the like of which I haven't seen since wow forums. Impressive that pylos demise could spawn such controversy. May he RIP.

Way to miss the point and act childish, Everyone has a different view on what's funny but simply going into a topic and saying "this sucks, not funny" is both idiotic and ignorant. If you hate something that's fine and if you want to post that's good too but at least construct a half decent sentence about why you find the subject not funny instead of acting like an immature 4chan /b/ user.

My name isn't random, although I certainly don't care what you think of it, because that value judgement would be subjective and something you can't reasonably argue over.
That's the entire point you missed so magnificently.
Because you obviously failed to grasp it, I'll make it clear - I don't actually think your name is stupid. I don't really care what your, or anyone's name is.

I know it's an opinion. It's not an opinion anyone gives two craps about.
This is not some important ethical principle that you need to champion. It's a joke, and when 90% of people are laughing at the joke, the proper reaction by someone who doesn't think it's funny is to go do something else, not tell everyone to stop thinking it's funny because by god Therickz is the arbiter of all humor everywhere, and turns subjective opinions into immutably objective facts.
You're welcome to your opinion, and "this isn't funny" and "I don't like that commentator" are perfectly reasonable opinions to have. When and where you choose to air your opinions is what's idiotic, not your opinions themselves.

1. I don't think they're the best casters in the world 2. I've never seen anyone "spit on" someone who just said "I don't like HD and Husky that much, their commentary isn't informed enough" 3. This thread is not about the quality of random commentators. If you want to make comments about the quality of a commentary, there are plenty of threads where that is indeed the topic. 4. I don't personally like HD's commentary much, but I'm not on some rage-fueled crusade to say something bad about him every time anyone mentions him.
cus face it
they are not.
That's an awfully absolutist statement to make about something wholly subjective, like the quality of a sports commentator. But let's indeed face the only quantifiable measurement of commentators, which is number of regular viewers, and you can very objectively say that they are by far the most popular commentators in Western e-sports.

Well, i like them all. I watch Day9 when getting home from work, follow up with 1-2 Replays from PsyStarcraft, HD or Crota. Then i play a few games and before going to bed i watch the Videos of Husky, HD and TotalBiscuit that i haven't seen yet to calm down from the exhausting ladder games (Btw., TotalBiscuit definatly needs to cast more replays or add some more videos of "I suck at starcraft" *subtle hint*).
Why does it always have to be one or the other? Do you only watch documentaries on TV or do you sometimes watch the Simpsons and whatever comedy stuff you get on TV these days?

Well, just my 2 platinum cents.

I can't enjoy starcraft commentaries when the commentators consistently miss shit that is going on in the game I mean i'm watching the VOD and staring at the mini map like gee i wonder whats going on over there while this guy rants about me going to his new forum he created. then you have the times where they completely don't understand what the hell is going on which is probably a good 10-15% of the time.
"well hes made an ultralisk cavern but no ultralisks yet"
ohh gems like these. prolly cuz hes maxed, prostar.
also, mentioning any starcraft commentator in the same sentence as the simpsons is blasphemous.

Humor is subjective. I nearly fell off my chair when he went "PYLO! NOOOO!". And then there are people who think Larry the Cable Guy is funny.
Also if you really like Husky and HD, you should post this on their forums/site, they started it for a reason.
TL;DR - going into a thread where other people are talking about something they subjectively enjoy and pissing all over it because you subjectively don't enjoy it makes you look like a complete moron.
you're absolutely right and in another 3-4 years you and people like you won't be apart of this community. so what you think about the people that have been here forever and been apart of starcraft for 12+ years like me and a lot of the other people here means absolutely nothing to us. you're a new jack with an opinion and those are a dime a dozen on TL.net.
The community is not TL only. ofc you can sitt here and circlejerk and think you are leetpro and everyone else is terrible but all you do is painting your self in to a corner.
I have been playing since SC was released in 98, i did not sign up here untill this year. And i am not holding a firm grip to old traditions and spew crap on new stuff. in 3-4years you will sitt here with the rest of the 1-2k ppl that need an explenation to why you should not be supplieblocked and why it is bad.
Blizz want SC2 to be an e-sport and i dont think they want it to be that only in Korea. But ppl like you will do everything you can to stop time and freeze it so things will never change from the old ways.

i think your grasp of what is going on in this thread is about as good as your grasp on the english language. this community has been around forever and seen a lot of people come and go(check the ban list). i welcome more people into starcraft2 and i hope esports becomes absolutely huge. i promise you that happening won't hinge on the people who play this game for a couple of months and move on.
the guy i responded to was berating someone elses opinion for absolutely no reason and it happened to be an opinion i agree with.
also, as far as husky i'm not hating on him. its just not my cup of tea and this is a forum where people express there opinions. if you want to be apart of a forum where everyone agrees with everything that you say otherwise they don't post in the thread then you're delusional at best.

I'm not some pro hotshot, but this thread is ridiculous. In order for something to develop into a sport you HAVE to include more casual viewers and gamers.
Let's use football as an example. How many fans can even explain the technique and purpose of a cut block? How many can even say what a wheel route is? Very few. But does it matter? They add eyes, they add bodies to the mass. Who buys the majority of tickets, jerseys, NFL Redzone? You can't have a sport supported solely by people who have an in-depth understanding of it. Look at chess. The only people who can follow games are those who play, so it will never, ever grow.
I would be a 1k+ Diamond Toss player if I haven't been incredibly busy the past few weeks. Yeah, it's not anywhere near pro level. But you know what, I don't comment on balance threads, I don't comment on builds. But I support the community simply by adding a viewer, a reader. Every viewer means a larger fan base, and every fan means more money. You want more people to watch your pro games? More people buying HD streams? Better sponsored tournaments? You need us, as much as we need you to provide us with stellar quality of games. The fact that you think we're going to disappear in a few years is stupid, there will be some decay but always more joining. And color casters help drive more people in.
Husky and HD got a LOT of people interested in SCII. Just from people I know, it's at least 20-25. I wouldn't be surprised if they contributed as much as 10% of the US sales or more. You might think that's a preposterous number, but there were a lot of people I knew who were on the fence of buying it until I sent them one of their casts. Not just 2-3, mind you. No, they're not the most informative casts. Day[9] adds much more depth of analysis, but if you just want to sit back and take a break from work to enjoy a game Husky/HD are much more fun. People don't want football announcers to break down receiver hand technique or exactly why a certain head fake worked. They want to hear emotion.
Why is husky going for comedy more than actual knowledge of the game? All I hear from him is "uhh this is scrapstation and what's interesting about this map is the short air distance and long rush distance" yeah we know...we all know that. thank god for day[9]
Edit: Not implying that the scrapstation comment would be comedy, it's just lack of game knowledge which creates this void that he fills with comedy.

This is a Pylo tribute thread.
Dont you think it would be a lot more appropriate to post your opinion there?
Actually one of the few things HD/Husky excel at casting (imo) is terrain, it's just they've done so many games on the same maps in all 6 matchups that both have eased off on giving the same exact analysis every game. Day[9]'s been lightening up on the early match terrain breakdown too, so I don't know why you're praising him except that it's wannabe-cool around here to bash Husky/HD and love Day[9].
Soon people are going to start complaining about Day[9]'s long intros where he talks about flipping his meat.
The spirit of the thread died a long time ago, trying to "rerail" it isn't going to change the fact that people reading the thread have to wade through 12 pages of flaming to get to the end.
I love pylo the pylon so much, I played the song for my music performance and took the time to listen and perform it by ear. I also put a poster of pylo and my other sc friends were singing with it

This man pretty much hit it out of the ball park. Stop trying to close of the community. Stop trying to make only one official caster we can all enjoy. Stop being elitist about a game we all enjoy just because you play it at a higher level then we do. Just relax and have fun, and if you don't like Husky, don't watch him.
I found the last video with the picture pretty funny, nicely done i imagined myself a little merry pylon making is merry way in life until he got warped on the battlefield.. was a sad day indeed. haha
I hope everyone has also seen the Zerg version of Pylo, the brave little Spore Crawler who tried to save the drones as best she could from an Evil Terran Nuke.

That was a suprising take on it, with a bit of dark gritiness added in, strangley well written tough

I think OP should update this thread with the new banelings video
