Good for them and me though, a stream to look on is always better than no stream.

I'm in Korea right now and get a free HD Gom stream. Is it so bad that I want to look out for others who are so less fortunate? Also 500k still looks like pixelated diarrhea

jealous. cept, i dunno about the quality of the streams. will the VOD's be higher quality, or at least look better somehow? EDIT: just saw this: http://www.gomtv.net/2010gslopens1/premiumzone/VideoSpecs.php Looks like the only viewable bitrate will be the paid one. The free one is free but I'd rather not even watch that lol. As one user said: pixelated vomit. lol

There is hardly a difference between 500k and 300k streams. $20 is definitely more reasonable but that HQ stream isn't very good. Both are easily watchable though. I may pay the $20 just to get access to the VODs because there is no way I will be able to stay up for all of these games.

Seriously, its nice to see Gom listening to their potential customers. And I think, ultimately this will lead to MORE people who decide to pay for premium service, rather than less. Its the difference between selling an HD Football package to someone whose already addicted to watching Football on their crappy old TV, and trying to see an HD Football Package to someone who doesn't even watch football. If you get people hooked on watching on the low quality stream, they are vastly more likely to consider upgrading to be a worthwhile move.

I might buy this now, since it includes vods as well. It all depends on how long the vods will be available.

Since it's their owned property there are many reasons they can forbid people to record and upload to youtube ...
