So quit being so bent out shape over nothing and enjoy the fact that people in the community are putting out content for us to enjoy. The least you could do is be appreciative of there hard work

Yeah I'm just about fed up of this show now, hosts and guests who don't research the topics of what they discuss, throw away comments made like fact and now, call ins.
Kas vs Zenio was one of the best TvZ / ZvT's I've seen in ages at IEM Kiev and it doesn't even get a mention. JP with his "independence" from MLG will still talk about the tiniest details of things they haven't released yet (as in, why the show has to be moved) but this:
gets no coverage, despite being to do with the premier starcraft tournament.
Millenium gaming house, not a mention. Oh, and not to mention Artosis not knowing the GSL ro16 groups that he'll be casting in a few days time. GSTL starting in 8 hours, not a mention. Although I suppose that's fair considering NASTL and IPL TAC didn't get mention either.
The PREMIER StarCraft 2 discussion show? Hmm.

This is why there is call ins if the show has missed something you wish to discuss. Call it in.

I think i'm at the point where i need to accept that this is just an amateur show with no credibility other than the reputation of the hosts. Sure they're smart people, but this no longer satisfies my intellectual standards. I need to accept that its just a bit of fun between a bunch of friends talking crap with eachother, and not a serious analytical show.

It is what it is. They're on for 2 hours and CAN cover those topics but waste 10 minutes on a stupid intro, 40 minutes on map discussion, and time for user call ins. JP is pound for pound the worst esports host at time management and pacing.

Of the top of my head, a Waxangel, chobopeon or Slasher (minus the perks)? Someone who's not really a pro, but who is in touch with things going around in the scene (ie: upcoming players, maps, issues, etc)... Have that guy from ESPN who corrects the PTI guys at the end of the shows. I always liked that bit.
That is actually such an awesome suggestion. Not sure if they're ready for that yet. But if it can become slightly more professional and structured with regard to topics, I think it would be useful.
In more general terms I think that they should have a sort of recap session.
Or...... just copy the whole damn structure of PTI (Pardon the Interruption). How much more awesome would SOTG be if there was a sidebar overlay with the topics and they rotated through them. It might be difficult to go on a timer for each topic with 5 people, but I think it's worth a shot. The idea of active debate might also be tricky with 5. I think that the roundtable is great but I also think there is a need for a more structured (and perhaps more serious) show. If not SOTG, perhaps there is room for something else.
For those who are unfamiliar with the show... PTI example: Here
Also... Artosis's comment regarding how much you really want it was very poignant imo.

They would literally have nothing to discuss about the link to the tweet it's just stupid hype. They would all say that the millenium house is a good thing (yawn). Artosis may just may have a little bit on his mind more than his work and memorizing groups (newborn). The team leagues is the only thing that should of maybe been discussed.

Its always been a group of friends that have been in starcraft for a long time discussing whatever topics JP has for that show. Its popular because of the personalities on the show. My brain hurts when people expect more when it has been this way since the beginning.
Also, if anyone is expecting to get factual up to date news you're watching the wrong show, go watch LO3 if you want that.

Completely agree on the Kas Zenio series, it was amazing to see Kas comeback, as a player who always had trouble with nerves to come out and play "better than his best" as he put it.
GOM tweet was discussed in show planning, I wouldn't blame JP for not going for that, too vague, too cryptic. What are they going to say "Oh cool another event! I dunno what it is or when or how or who but cool".
Millennium gaming house is notable as a quick mention, but not much to say on it otherwise.
Artosis not knowing the groups is excusable on the grounds that he has had a kid. However he never really knows the groups that well at all, usually relying on JP for the link. Compared to the preparation that TheMarine put into one player (MVP) it seems....bad?
Dunno why they haven't talked about GSTL it was in show notes with links and all. Maybe JP forgot, cut it.
As for NASTL and IPLTAC, I quote nearly verbatim from the show planning "No-one watches those, who gives a shit". ಠ_ಠ Again, the map discussion was almost comically awful as well.

Considering the quality of the call-ins they get we are more likely to get bitching about chargelots lategame TvP or LoL numbers envy.

You cannot see the difference between my personal twitter and a professional show broadcasted to over 10,000 people live and tens of thousands by VOD?
