well perheps my expecations were a bit too high, i was expecting something like the old "hell..its about time" blizzcon trailer..either way i was not impressed  but ye the clock were cool, i would like one of those
edit: hmm, now that i've seen it in big resolution, it is kinda cool...not as cool as blizzcon thing though :p

Couple of reasons. They want it to be an "event", and they probably want people to see it for the first time in high quality, not as a leaked youtube video.

It's an okay commercial; not nearly as good as the full sketched clip, but still interesting. mengsk's voice is a bit distorted at time. It lacked a bit of mystery, most of it was flashing clips.
You can still find it on Youtube if you do a search.

What if the REAL conspiracy is that the NBA is paying Blizzard to show this commercial during the game to get us to watch more basketball!?!?! Makes you think, eh?

Funny how no one actually stated why commercials work.
Only things like, "omggg sc2 during NBA why blizz so dumb?"
Please...psych 101 or any marketing class teaches you that commercials aren't there to make people buy it, but for people to recognize the product faster. If people can even remember that sc2 had a commercial, that's good advertising.
Anyway, all good for more people in the Starcraft community, opens up possibilities of wider ladder brackets for us to demolish.

I had no idea this commercial hasnt been aired yet. I dont live in the US so i'm not really aware of the time the commercial was meant to be aired.

Just saw it on YT and got to say even though it is really short, it really blows you away in regard to the quality of the cinematics. Like holy shit. The Raynor shot and the second scene with the hydra (with the rocks/debris) really stand out in my mind. Basically shows nothing that revolves around multi-player, but really gets you hyped for the single player though, imo.
