I hear Kiwikaki is pretty terrible with it. On the subject though, could we get DIMAGA, Machine, or even MoMaN and Socke? xD
Any people who want to step up and join the party should post in this thread or message Diamond. Or if you can't get in contact with him just contact one of the iCCup people (Raelcun, Joseki, RyanRushia, JoshSuth, Alou, Kraken, etc).
Maybe we could do one of those handicap things? Where a popular player starts a game against a public random guy and gets a small thing against him (like less starting probes, not allowing certain units, etc) and then he keeps playing and getting bigger things against him till he loses.

no thats lame . I would like to play one without any of that (if I am lucky enough to get the chance :D).

Well we have time for multiple events I believe.
true that although I don't know how he could start with less workers unless he killed 1 or 2 off

Maybe like only certain units, no warp gates, no spreading creep, etc. We could probably figure a bunch of random things out.

What about the TLO/Sen against terran mech showmatch ? The tank change doesnt seem to have really impact terran mech so I think it would still be great to organize this match !
It has a huge impact late game as it now takes 3 fully upgraded tank shots to kill a roach as opposed to 2 actually. So I'm not sure if those are gonna happen now or not.

a 3 fully upgraded tank allready needed 3 shoots to kill a roach as long as roaches had +2 armor
but I think the idea of setting up games of TLO/Sen against mech terran was a good idea and even with the patch i guess it would be great to see that !

I'm trying to set them up still but they might not happen till phase 2 due to the time factor.
Also PsyonicReaver is going to come cast with us tonight after he gets off work too! All the best SC2 casters in the world in one place like never before !!!!

perfect, all of my favorite sc/sc2 players and orb sit down and talk about starcraft, what could be better?
I also just talked to DJWheat. He was going to join us but he's leaving town today to head to Canada. He said if he can find some wi-fi he will also jump in for a bit for soem epic game discussion!
Now we just need Tasteless to come out of hiding and we will be all set !

Don't doubt Ryan. Although LZ will defiantly be the favorite going in Ryan is a very underrated player. He can hang with the best and his super aggressive style should give Lz some problems.

And just for the record: I am FUCKING PUMPED for Catz vs. HuK!!!!!!!!!!!!!
oh wow, player made maps! So excited to see the games on them, didnt realize they were in the pool. Is Sean playing in the games or casting and what quality will the stream be? (pref medium)

Yeah the ITL wants to stay on the cutting edge and there is no better way to.
Also I am not sure when/what Day will be doing. I told him to just drop by when he has some spare time (he's a busy ass dude) so we will see what's going on when he gets sometime.

Haha, so true, that sums up how I feel tonight.
What is the translation? =o
Its one of those "cultural" words that doesn't really mean much outside of context but every year, the evening before christmas the big tv stations tend to throw out the regular schedule and have just one show that goes on all night with guests, music and all kinds of stuff and its called an "uppesittarkväll". Its kind of a waiting something out show.
The zerg was pretty bad. Why the hell would he go for ultra when he had perfect scouting information and saw that HuK was spending on early upgrades. Like there's no way HuK could have held a hydra push.
Lets hope SkyFive is a bit better, and I hope that there'll be real games and no joke builds. Good commentary though

Shiver said she'd give them 20 points if they went for certain units. Thats why they did what they did.
On June 07 2010 10:11 Liquid`NonY wrote: what is this championship co-main event main card? it's just a bunch of matches
Championship match is what it sounds like. QXC is the current champion which he won from long time champ Sheth who won it from LzGaMeR.
Also the co-main event is two top contenders that are knocking on the door for a title shot.
The main card is all televised matches.
It's a very similar structure to a MMA or Boxing event.
Also: Moo's internet is broke. So CauthonLuck vs. Painuser is the new matchup coming up next!
so championship = koth
the rest are just showmatches, with one being called better than the rest (which is kinda insulting to the rest)
All the games are seperate showmatches. If you win, you play tougher opponents. The person who is on top is there because he is the best in our events. LZ was the first champion, then Sheth grabbed it, and now QXC has it. Players work their way up to be the champion. It's not an insult to any of the players it's just something to work towards every week. No one has had a problem with one person being called a champion because the system we've been using works well and creates good fun games for the players and viewers.

It'll just be whenever and we will probably have one of the staff members give their email out to get friend invites and just pick people randomly
It's a shame Super Garden of War isn't published after the patch, it's the best 14 man FFA map there is hands down. This map looks all sorts of messed up.
amazing game 12 player FFA with top name players and commentators. space sharks, rainbow minerals, space mountain, underwater bases, un-mineable mains, yamatos across map, UFC arena expansions, psistorm camera trick mineable islands and viking massage.
couldn't ask for more!!!! <3 iccup forever thanks to this
Thanks for delivering this guys. The commentating got really funny once the FFA started. It was a fantastic way to end the first phase of beta. I feel like its only been a month or two since beta....but wow it's been a long time now, we're already in JUNE!
wish my little interview show was famous enough to get in ont hat you guys look like you're having so much fun. Ah well I'll enjoy my last day of beta in my own way
Are there going to be VODs of this available? I used to not like catz much, but from what I hear his commentary is really really good! really hope i can watch vods of all of this, seems awesome
I'd like to thank all those who played on my map: Asteroid Field (the space ffa one). I didn't get to see all of it because my friend told me about the stream pretty much the last 15 minutes of the match.
Loved the Benny Hill bid with Vikings and Bcs.
Would love to see the whole thing on a vod or available replays (i'm sure there's a mod to watch replays while bnet is down).
Hey you guys are the ones that went to bed. You missed PainUser bm'ing HD on a 2v2 he forgot to mute his mic on skype, but muted everyone else instead, so all 1700 people heard him just going balls out in the game! Twas SO funny!
i went to bed yesterday at 4p.m. - having watched the stream for hours already. now i get up at 2p.m. and you are still at it! mean beans! i want some too!

Never heard of it, but havent looked into it. Maybe day9 might come somewhat close since he did some back to back casts at some point I think? Not sure about this, fairly certain this is a record breaker :p

I don't know as Psyonic is not online at the moment. There will be VOD's for a good majority of it though evn if Psyonic's part was lost.
lol. This is like the zombie mode cast about now. I left the cast to play a few games a while ago--I then checked TL and noticed they were still casting.

I started watching this stream when it started and since then I got tired went to sleep and decided to check TL again and it's still on for like ~20 hours straight - omg!

Yes he does. Unfortunately Ustream is awesome for the fans but horrible for the casters. It's the one and only area Livestream has them beat at. Hopefully we can get someone to pitch in on streaming. My only other idea is using remote desktop on Rael's comp which I'm not sure will work !
This is pretty epic. The highlight still has to be Orb calling Day9 stupid for having his phoenixes in the middle of the map after he picked off his two "scouting" collosus.
No the highlight was when PainUser + HD played a 2v2 versus Ryan & Senato and PainUser didn't mute his mic and you could here him yelling at HD for doing stuff wrong and freaking out because his mineral line got reaperharassed :D that was so epic :D
Dammit, I seem to have missed a good deal of the awesome stuff, I fell asleep after the showmatches and woke up during UMS maps.
I'd also like to play something like a 2v2 Pro-am, random scrub + good player vs random scrub (me) + good player. I haven't been laddering much this reset so I'm not in diamond, but I'm stupidly inconsistent...sometimes I walk right over people, never get over 500 minerals, always have my nexxi out of energy from crhonoboosting, other times I supply cap myself 4 times and forget to chrono ><
Unfortunately, I missed the 2v2. The FFA was totally epic though. =P
We just had a delirium match between a 20-hours-of-casting Raelcun and Alou! Rael owned Alou and it woke him up a bit.
Then we had a bo3 between Arlock and Joseki on Brood War maps, and right now we have two iCCup TV staff members battling each other for bragging rights.
Next up we've got some stuff planned with MoMaN, so hang around. TheGunRun is still camming for us for the time being!
According to downforeveryoneorjustme.com , its not just us. All of Ustream is down apparently. Didn't think ustream would end the stream before blizzard did : (
The chat died so I reloaded... guess I shouldn't have. Oh well, guess that leaves time for some actual playing, let's see if the stream comes back up before the beta goes down.

I just have to say that this has been, by far, the most entertaining stream ever. At least half the time I've spent watching I've been cracking up. I don't think I ever stopped laughing during the island FFA last night.

Dedicating my 500th post to Raelcum for his pure awesomeness. I watched this last night, went to bed, woke up and now I'm watching this for like 10 hours straight and it's still on. Really amazing stream, clearly the best I've watched since sc2 beta started. Keep it up good sir, this is amazing.
I'm at work Josh. Sorry, I won't be off till 9pm PST but if the beta is still going by then, I'll take over and if somebody tells me how to save stuff this time, I'll make sure that gets turned on.

From France here I fell asleep in front of the stream at around 11am my time, just woke up, come check the stream again and oooommmmmmggggggggg RAELCUN you commentator beast!!! Still awake doing his thing! Wow.
this reminds me of the first episode in season 1 of battlestar galactica... where everyone is sleep deprived but they have to stay awake and fly their vipers fighters because the enemy is relentlessly chasing them down...
I just wanna say this shit is batshit insane. Massive massive MASSIVE props to Raelcun and the others. I am seriously stunned and loving every bit of this. It deserve more than just a post in the topic but seriously great work.

Us server was down in 5 mins. They are playing on it.
You can't stop Raelcun... if it stops.. its over.. what if you are the only reason blizzard hasn't taken down the servers yet? thousands of players rely on your every minute of casting!!! to ladder.. to ums...
fathers.. brothers.. sisters.. children... they all play starcraft 2 and are counting on you to cast as long as you can so that the beta doesn't end!!!! GO raelcun GO!!! cast (haha pun) aside your fear and continue on your journey of streaming 1v1s, 2v2,s 3v3s 4v4s and Nexus Wars!!! Play that Iccup Intro Five Hundred more times!!!
First post and I just registered to say awesome job. It is absolutely nuts that Raelcun has been casting for nearly 26 hours now and I have been loving every moment I have listened to.
Great job Raelcun (and the rest of the ICCup staff)!
This is truly awesome, I have been watching for around 14 hours total now, (I slept in between) and all of it has been great, massive props to all the casters, mods and players!
why am i the only one thinking that this is kinda...sad? So you've been playing and streaming a video game for a whole day...
On the other side, since you have this thread as proof, you COULD submit this as a video game Guinness World Record. I hear they pay for new records, i could be wrong.

I know he was with you but I meant Day9 Daily, it's his show If he did his daily with you on the back it would be awesome.
then WE CAN SAY "ICCUP EXTRAVAGANZA IS THE SHOW THAT INCLUDES DAY9 DAILY SHOW" . so extravaganza would be supreme !!!

someone tell the extravaganza crew to play the final match on Asteroid Field 0.7. I fixed it up a little for them. And yes its a 15 player map (until blizzard decides to behave nicely and make the game 16 players...for which its already prepared).

Raelcun - I just wanted to say what a fucking trooper. I've had quite possibly the best birthday watching for for almost 10+ hours of your giant cast marathon. Huuuuge props to you bro, THANK. YOU!
HUGE, HUMONGOUS Thanks to Diamond for running iCCupTV, and doing all the behind the scenes work to get all of this going and keeping it going, lots of things wouldn't be possible if not for his effort, and humongous friends list.
Man, that's pretty intense. I had the stream running on my headphones while I was at work yesterday, stuck it on last night when I got home to see what was going down, now I'm back at work again and it's still going! :-o

Man guys it was great i loved all 34 hours of it cant wait for the real game for more stuff like this. BEST BETA EVER IT WAS GREAT ALL THE TIME. ALSO BEST STREAM EVER.
Thanks a lot guys didn't expect you guys to like this so much I kind of decided last minute I was going to stay up and cast the entire thing and glad I did now as it was a ton of fun. Just don't want to do that again soon! I'm going to go sleep now.
Am i hearing this right? Raelcun has been streaming for 28+ hours? man i followed him last night till 7am and went to bed after. epic craziness/props to this guy
PS: is the stream gonna be posted? cuz that would be huge
Raelcun day !! thank u guys for a lot of fun during this last two days! It was really fun to tune in at every single time in the day and find some starcraft2 games
I think 7th of june should be raelcun day, 24 hours of live streaming !! making it 3 days is kinda boring
I hope you all enjoyed the stream. We all had fun casting it. Raelcun pulled off all 34 hours. Me and Josh casted for like 20 hours each or something. Ryan was there a lot. We had tons of guests, most notably CatZ, LZ, TheGunRun, Martijn, Day9, Orb, and loads of others.
Great fun. Can't wait for Phase Two and the launch

I completely agree here. Almost feels like there's something wrong knowing there wont be an sc2 stream for a few weeks.
Well, guess I can catch up on my netflix backlog in that time.
Perfect way to end the beta, so congratulations to Raelcun and all the other guys who were casting along with him. One of the first things to kick-start the SC2 beta off was Oversky (btw, whatever happened to him?) playing 100 games in 24 hours. I think it is fitting that we were able to enjoy a similar marathon of epic proportions. Congratulations once again!
Fantastic event, couldn't follow it to the end due to time zone difference, but was watching every waking hour, it was ace. Space Sharks, Elevation micro and snoring / choking had me laughing pretty hard. Perfect ending to a fantastic beta, I'll definitely miss watching SC2 streams while the beta is down... time to find some VODs I guess.
Thanks to raelcun and everyone who participated to this amazing event. Best way to end the beta phase 1 :p Happy Raelcun day ! and happy 24 hours of sleep raelcun :p

Big props to iccup for doing this, and of course Raelcun particularly. I don't think even hero would be strong enough to describe Raelcun after that performance.
Best bit of the parts I saw was, without a doubt, PainUser forgetting to mute skype during the 2v2 and the Asteroid Field map. Epic stuff.

Hey guys, ever wanted to get in on Liquipedia 2 but never had a place to start? Raelcun Day is a place where you can start! Add in your details! I'll be keeping an eye on it though, so don't try to write stupid things.

If you guys are planning on putting up VODs (which I'm sure you are) you should put them up on Blip. Since you guys switched cameras so many times from Livestream to Ustream it would be easier for everyone to enjoy them.

We never switched to Livestream during the cast. 100% done on Ustream

O oops. I thought Raelcun was on livestream at one point for some reason lol. Speaking of the stream did you and Kracken ever play? I got locked out trying to reload when they were talking about you playing

Yea we played. I played 2 of the worst games I have played like ever. But Kraken kept going weird one base builds that threw me off. I'm just glad Ustream freaked out during that time, I was litreally red with embarrassment after those games. I can't even imagine the fun the casters had with that match...

dont worry diamond.. i lost to 6 ling rush on air.. that was unexpected...
When i woke up yesterday and saw the stream up and people here cheering at raelcun, i honestly thought "ok..this is kinda pathetic...all he's doing is playing video games, and all these guys are doing is sitting around watching him??"...then as the day went by, and i went in and out of my home, i'd come back to check the stream, and the feeling of "wow this is sad" was slowly getting replaced by "ok...this is starting to get impressive".
In short:
- at the 12 hour mark, i thought this was dumb - at the 24 hour mark, i started getting worried for Raelcun's health...i'm not kidding - at the 30+ hour mark, i was impressed - in the last 30 minutes, i didn't want it to end
Raelcun and friend, you guys did an amazing job, and i'd like to thank you for making June 7th more entertaining than December 31st.
For those who missed it or would like to see it again, i have uploaded the last 8 minute super worker fight on my youtube account:
Couple of suggestions for Raelcun and the crew:
- Do it again at end of Phase 2 - Prepare yourself: coffee, snacks, comfy chair, neck brace, get plenty of sleep before, and shower. - Don't tell your parents. - And yes...Spaceshark WILL be there!
I never thought i'd be posting on team liquid, but anything is possible on Raelcun Day.

The last 2.5 hours including some more King of the Hill, LzGaMeR vs. HuK on Fighting Spirit followed by Shrinkage(great match), an 8-way worker fight on The Hunters with all of our casters, DIMAGA vs. LzGaMeR, a couple of games of BattleCraft, Run Kitty Run, and one more worker fight on The Hunters where CatZ spells "Raelcun" on the map with his zerglings: http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/7516779
According to Raelcun (who is awake and typing on chat :D ) and Diamond, the cast was viewed 100,000 separate times. And the total time of all the viewers viewing the cast was almost 7.5 years. And the 7.5 years might only be Raelcun's portion of streaming. Not sure if that includes Orb, TheGunRun, or Psyionic. So it could be even more. So, this was EPIC.

There was the original countdown from when Blizzard actually announced a time for the servers to go down. But people didn't read the part that said only the logins would be stopped exactly at the 11pm PDT. So when Blizzard announced a 45 min window for people who were logged in to get their last kicks in a new count down was started.
