I don't mind too much. June is the WC month anyway, beta and WC would take up all of my time! And i still have to work too...

But I wonder what the point of this is. Can't think of too many things:
- major overhaul based on data collected so far (unlikely, why all the balance changes then)
- they're not satisfied with SC2 and will decide whether to cancel it (they better not!)
- server localisation, next beta phase will feature the actual setup (with stress test)

I guess it's the last, anyone else got other ideas?

last option is the only one i can see being correct. they have put in too much time and effort already for it to be the first two

No they seriously should not. Every Beta Blizzard has run basically has been done in two phases, one long first phase, and then after about a month break and some heavy changes, a shorter second phase follows. This is the best way for them to implement a Beta test, and doing it this way will allow players to play almost up until actual release of retail. The two-phase (or even multi-phase) Beta is common not only to Blizzard but many other developers; I'm sure there is a good number of changes that require server-side changes and general overhaul that can not be accomplished in a simple patch.

after patch 13 i dont even care anymore.
they can close it down until they learn how to balance games and make a real ladder system......................it sucks that we won't be able to play, but we won't have to see copper level (oh wait, we dont have that anymore...derp) players doing 90% wins from mass terran infantry all-ins.

I think Blizzard should use the patch 12 version and work from there with implementing features that players have been requesting. I can understand that they will want to avoid LAN because of piracy but there is really no reason for removing chatrooms. The identificator System was also better than the current one.

Same goes for ultra buff/nerf which only managed to make the unit even worse...

I think they should shut down the servers today or apply some kind of hotfix. This patch 13 beta is just making everything worse. Ppl wont stop complaining.

do they say anywhere when they'll open up the second phase of the beta? and if having a beta key for phase 1 lets you play phase 2?? cause that would irritate me quite a bit if i needed a seperate key for beta phase 2.

I remember Blizzard stating that beta will be back "a few weeks" before retail launch.
