I nominate myself. Thus far I've only been able to play on a friend's beta account intermittently, but even that is enough to give me a fairly solid grasp of SC2's gameplay. A key that goes to me is a key that doesn't go to someone who will make the next "Wahhh nerf marauders!!1!" thread. Obviously I have a strong appreciation of the TL community and of StarCraft as a whole, but that doesn't seperate me from the other 10 pages of people nominating themselves. I believe that practice, hard work, and always looking for ways to improve your own play (Rather than attempting to change the parameters of the game) is the path to success in StarCraft, and thus I believe I would be a good beta key recipient -- because I would be a good beta player.

3-5. Mystlord/roffles/konadora for streaming. I'd really be very surprised if they actually don't have access to keys by this point.

I nominate clow!

If you spend anytime on IRC you must know clow. He organized the hilarious XCetron vs Petzergling grudge match and always has great things to say. Really, a great guy who deserves a key!

I also want to nominate CynanMachae!

He doesn't post very much, but he's a lovable canadian who taught me everything I know about SC. Also, he's pretty much the reason I came to TL.

A final nomination is Rayzorblade!

He is one of the most awesome people I've ever met online. Who knows if he'll even be able to use the key because of his wife

. However, if you've talked to Rayzor you know you can't find cooler people around.

I nominate marcoso since it appears he's not staff and doesn't already have a key! He updates most of the VOD:s in the Small VOD:s thread.

I think abascus and the other stream translators should get a key. Translating in real time is hard but these guys do a great job. And if there are extra keys I would like one too

hmm.. I don't know if he already has a key, but I'd like to point disciple as a candidate too.. some threads get a boost in quality because of him, especially LR.

hey, woahhh there...keeping the small vod thread updated isn't enough? I don't know if my nomination counts for anything, but even if it doesn't I just want to point out the enormous contribution marcoso makes to tl.
+1 marcoso nomination.

Also, I don't think anyone has mentioned the folks behind the CSL...I only know of hazelynut, DarthThienAn and Xeris, but I'm sure there are more. The work they put in isn't often appreciated, but CSL has brought together starcraft communities in many colleges. Definitely up there in terms of impact they've made on the community.

Personally, I would love to play the beta, but I've certainly done nothing on this site to warrant that kind of generosity. As such, I nominate [p]Drake and fuddx. Almost all the large contributors have been awarded one (or have one already). These two seem like plain, simple, great fans who really care a lot about the game and whose works I've recently run across. I hope to see both of them contribute more great things to the community if they receive keys! Best of luck!

Hello TL staff. I am glad that you made it possible for people to nominate themselves.

There many worthy nominations but i hope that you'll find my story and reasons worthy a consideration.

I'm a fellow StarCraft - Broodwar player/admirer from Mongolia. This game was and is an important part of my life ever since my university-days (Have been playing the game since fall of 1999). Before that i enjoyed playing the original WarCraft back in 1996-97. Besides just playing the game I have also been following the SC scene pretty closely starting 2005, the time i joined TL 5 years ago. Here I found out about the upcoming StarCraft 2 few years ago and have been following its development closely.

SC2 Promo for Blizzard in Mongolia. Our community is not as big or skilled like in many countries but size and shape doesn't matter to love something.

When the new Battle.net site opened last year, I registered my games on it shortly after (03/20/2009 to be precise) and opted in for the SC2 beta when the option came available around last may if I'm not mistaken. Sensing that the beta is on the doorsteps and hoping to get in it eventually I made a big investment and bought a new PC to replace my old P4 in january just so i could enjoy the beauty of SC2 and dont to experience any hardware drawbacks.

Finally the beta came out. Hard to describe how pumped i was.. The first wave of invites came, then the second. Feeling disappointed and seeing that I won't get to test the game, i asked my friends and some fellow country-men who play over battle.net to find out if anyone got invited. No one got.. I think the opt-in is so random that few SC followers here have practically no chance to get in beta and thus send/receive friend invites. We are completely cut-off.

So here I am hoping again to get a chance to participate in the beta. I don't have many chances to participate in most of win-beta-key contests here or in other places like facebook because of my timezone, couz most of the activities are centered on europe/us timezones. If needed, i could even try to put a good word in for our president about Rekrul regarding his incident so they can maybe become friendly again. I'd like to nominate myself!, im not exactly new, i've had my account for quite a while (not enough to be called a veteran though) and i've started to be active in forums for a couple of months now.. n i really wanna start posting on the sc2 topics.. but i cant since i dont have a beta key, plus the idea of getting one makes me hard

If I get a key, I will make an annual sacrifice of camels and chicken heads to the starcraft gods of yore. No longer will Roman troops plague the land with vague racism and cynicism towards Gears of War 3. I WILL NOT recklessly throw away my games and leak priceless replays of the rest of my team members, an act which soils the integrity of esports. If I get a beta key, I will finally set free the 3 deformed monkeys I've enslaved in my basement, and the feces that they fling from now on will not reek of corn, but instead of more wholesome foods like peas and tomatoes. Starch will be illegal again. All will be forced to refer to plays by their actual names and not dumb ass player names like "pretty" and "little angel". Boxer will be good again, and the sun will be made extra bright every 3rd day of the week.

So give me a beta key, because TL owes the mob a metric tonne of favors.

(I'm just joking, please don't ban me).

I too nominate myself. I just want to be the first Dominican with a SC2 beta-key :p Plus I think I've been around for a while and I've been a good poster.

I love TL but if I get a key... Jesus Christ I will flip out.

I don't know if durak has a key or not but he's a pretty good poster and he usually entertains or contributes with his posts.

also he's not veteran enough to get a key nor is he newby enough to get a key, so that's just unfortunate, somewhat like being a middle child.

I couldn't figure out if Grobyc has a key or not, but if not I nominated him.

He's always the guy who comes up with an emergency stream when the regular streamers aren't around (I think all of the regular streamers already have keys).

Not only is he a baller ass player, he is always willing to take time out of his day to help others. He has been around SCBW for a very long time and has a very good understanding of the game. I believe this set of skills is invaluable to furthering the development of SC2 Beta and the future SC2 release.

I think i am very deserving of one. I bought STARCRAFT the first day it came out, than when broodwar finally came out i bought that the second the store open. I've been playing SC/BW for easily over 12 years now. Which is almost half my life. I am a huge ESport fan. CS/WC3/BW. I think i would be very deserving of one.
