I nominate myself because I know no one will notice me, or nominate me. Here's a little about myself to understand why I want the beta key, because Everyone deserves to have a key. This is my Starcraft Story. True Story! I am pretty new to the Team Liquid community, I mean I haven't even been here a month. However in that month I have been reading alot of posts, posting a few myself, trying to get the hang of it. I come from a small northern town in Ontario, Canada. Population 5000. When I was a kid I discovered Starcraft Shareware, the prequel to Starcraft Original. This was back in 1997, I was Nine Years old. I played this demo version of the game for many years, because I was cluless about Starcraft and How big it actually was. My town didn't even have a Wal-mart, let alone an EBGames or something like that. I know that demo by heart, because I enjoyed it SOOO much I played it daily, and was stuck playing Terran all the Time, not that there's anything wrong with that. Finally in the year 2000, I moved to a slightly larger town, Population 6000. The Wal-mart had opened up in 1998, So we went there and I saw, for the FIRST time a box of Original Starcraft, with the Protoss face. By this time I was 12 years old, I was so excited and I asked my parents if i could buy it. It was relitively expensive back in the day. However I convinced them and played the Original for about one years, clueless to the fact that poeple like Artosis, Liquid'Nazgul, Day[9], Boxer, Yellow, Xellos, even existed. In that year I would go to the public library, where they had High speed, and i'd read the Battle Reports they posted, and man did I ever enjoy that summer, reading reports. In 2001 Brood War finally came by my town, finally. I did not hesitate to buy it right away. I've been playing BW since then. I convinced all my friends to play, but my years of experience was too much for them XD. Sure I was the best between my friends, but B.Net gave me a wake up call. In 2002 we finally got High speed, because we we're on Dial up before hand. This was my first real experience in the B.Net scene, and I got my butt handed to me. I couldn't understand why poeple were so good, not knowing of course of all the strategies already developped. I didn't have a strategy book either. So I decided to quit starcraft online and just played the campaing and between my friends. Once I left for my studies at the University of Ottawa, Population 750000, I began to explore Starcraft again, discovering a long lost love of online play, sure I wasn't good but I played Fast Money maps and Use Map Settings, none of that Low Money stuff. I did that for about two more years, then finally I recently discovered Day[9]. Once I heard the Beta was finally out, which I have opted in for, I wanted to see if it was possible to find some replays on Youtube. To my surprise I found poeple streaming LIVE GAMES. I was so amazed!!!! I didn't even know it was possible. I watched Orb, Husky, I followed StarCraft Method, then I discovered Team Liquid. For me this was a GOLD MINE. Strategies we're posted about not only starcraft and BW but for SC2 also. I was like, how is this possible? So while watching Day[9] and Live tournaments I decided I needed to be part of this community. So i registered and started reading posts and stuff. And to my surprise, one of my friends "XENOENDER, on B.Net 2.0" got a Beta Key. He was kind enough to let me play a few games, and I fell in love again, with the game that is. I've been reading up on strategies and stuff, and Day[9] #100 cast made me want to try to build and participate in the E-Sports community. When I say build, I mean encourage the e-sports community in small towns like the one I was in, because we really have no idea of the magnitude of e-sports and gaming communities. On a different note, I love TheLittleOne's play, he's so Rad. However much Love to all of you How will the Beta help me acheive this? Well I believe that the Beta will allow me to show everyone what Starcraft 2 is, and with the help of Team Liquid, show off how nice and awesome this gaming community really is! I know i'm a comlete stranger, and I don't even post that much, but i'm trying my hardest to get envovled, but it's hard to enter a community when your a newbie like me. I'll be honest, I'm not really sure if this guy has a beta key, but if he doesn't I'd like to nominate FragKrag. Why? Namely this awesome thread. Like half the posts in that thread are from him patiently answering peoples computer and hardware questions. Not just one liners, but proper in-depth answers. As someone who's been thinking of builiding a comp for the first time his posts have been invaluable. It's not just limited to that thread, he often helps people out in many computer-related threads. If this guy doesn't have a beta key I definitely think he should get one. | ||

Some people might read my posts as being bitter and angry, but in reality i dont have many emotions - i just try to be as objective as i can. Hence the low post-count, i see no reason to make a post if its about a subject i know nothing about. | ||
