BUT I'd say it would make the most sense to have another wave today or this weekend - it's post patch and adding more people will definitely help test the balance. | ||

But yup third time is the charm, I believe~~~~ Nope, I think the beta was launched Wed or Thursday last week so it was kinda middle weekish, and than 2nd wave came 3-4 days later. It's now been 4 days since the 2nd wave, hopefully something soon. I'm still highly disappointed my cake key is years away! | ||

I am assuming they are talking about people such as a few of my friends down teh street who play wow, but have never heard of sc, and wont check their accounts to tell me if they got the beta key.. :p | ||

The ones who are currently getting invites but aren't actually SC fans are pretty much all WoW players because random people aren't going to make a bnet account and opt-in, thus the hate for the WoW players they're "stealing" invites. lol. And also like throwing fuel to the fire is the fact that WoW is infamous for having some of the most immature fanbases ever. | ||

This is really a beta focused on play balance and on testing server load. http://us.blizzard.com/en-us/community/blizzcast/archive/episode13.html?rhtml=y 3 month beta trying to test the limits of the server. The next wave(s) can't be far off. | ||

I would hate for them to continually spin their wheels trying to perfect the game. I also think the campaign editor should be tested after release, but that's just my opinion. I don't believe in the editor slowing down release of a playable game | ||

Sounds kinda like a rip off at first, but at 2nd thought ii red somewhere that blizzard employees are give each 4 keys fro friend and family, so Blizzard can not let too many people into the beta or the ebay prices would drop. Sounds kinda like a rip off at first, but at 2nd thought i think it is just fair for the small blizzard guys to get these 800-1000$ from ebay, because they made WoW which makes Millions and i doubt they get much from that cake. So it is just fair i think, you could argue that it sux the good old starcraft players have to pay the bonus for the good work on WoW, but well it is just an option to pay it + the big blizzard guys you are getting rich with WoW sure wont give away their money and after all, Starcraft 2 comes out with a fair price.
