People with Blizzcon keys getting opt in invites lol
http://forums.battle.net/thread.html?topicId=23329143121&pageNo=1&sid=5010#7
Yes, there were different ways to get into the beta. The events that people attended or contests they won (these usually got a key in the mail) or through the Opt-in, that got your account flagged.
So if you happen to have your account flagged and get a key, you can give the key to a friend. Playing with people you know is always most fun! RTS Community Team Blizzard Europe
Give key away or sell it on Ebay for $300 hmmmmmmmm

I could probably write the book on it ^___________^
None of that matters to Blizzard. If you want to get into SC2 beta, you NEED to be an active wow player. They are the hallmark of a good gamer and therefor suitable for beta testing upcoming titles.
Srsly..

Blizzard is propably punishing me (by not giving the key), because I used to play DotA two-three years ago =P

Ummm...hope you aren't serious because that's completely false. I'm pretty sure the process is random or Blizzard is picking users with certain computer specs for their testing needs (either of certain configurations, or a number of individuals with each video card/RAM/cpu class).
There are many out there who have gotten keys and have not touched WoW. It wouldn't make sense to give out keys to them anyways since the WoW fanatics probably couldn't care less about SC2 and have their noses in their druids (whatever they play).

How the fuck is Blizzard handling this situation, they're sending random wow nerds and people who haven't even opted in and are neglecting not only die hard fans of the game but also known foreign top players whose careers could depend on this beta key.
Blizzard please you should know your fanbase a little better..
I really was under the impression that even foreigner progaming teams were sent enough keys to get every single progamer testing, it should be benefical to blizzard too because you people are the ones who would get the most games played.

I'm a starcraft player since day 1, a WoW player since day 1 too and I don't have a key, so, you're absolutly wrong, sorry m8.

Poor LZ, that's really weird, you are one of the most known players (is there anyone who didn't hear of your awesome stream?!) and yet no key...

@mcj
Prolly next monday... I propably get key from last wave...
|
Last three betas I've gotten into I didn't really care about, I just heard the betas were live, and wanted to try the games out(quake live, LoL, and bad company 2). After a quick google search I was in within a few days. Now SC2 beta is out, which I really want to play and its exclusive as all hell =[ there's no invites players give out themselves, no sites you register for, just an opt-in page =[
Well, you know what they say third times the charm hopefully they do a wave a week =)
|
hah Kaniol.. i know Seriously... i thought even blizzard was learning from my stream!
|
The beta gods are fickle
|
Got my Blizzcon beta key last night.

then u find out u wouldve gotten a key bc blizzard discovered some of the other beta users abused
