SOMETHING needs to change... Why can't Day9 himself organise a restream/dualstream with another provider like Justin.TV and KEEP the money? Whoa whoa whoa you're not understanding this poll properly. 65% say it's either perfect, or mostly good. 9% have no opinion since they watch vods. 26% say it's not working or poor quality. So only about a quarter of the people watching it are having unsatisfactory issues. Now obviously that's not an insignificant amount, but to say only 50% are fine isn't really true.

He's been doing the daily for years now, I don't expect much to change for just 2 weeks of problems. This is why I've been asking for a restream, as a temporary solution until Ustream fixes their problems, whatever they may be. Much respect to VorcePA, and frowny face to Sean's mods - I got kicked for pasting the restream link in chat with no warning =/ It's not just 2 weeks, this shit has been happening all the way back to sc2 beta days. Ustream has always lagged for some people but not others and sometimes you can fix it by refreshing many times to get connected to a better server but lately even refreshing doesn't fix the lag. There's also the separate matter of people with poor connections being unable to watch it because Ustream only relays the video stream at whatever rate it's encoded at by the caster. Justin.tv is great because it re-encodes stream at multiple resolutions so that viewers can choose what resolution/bit rate to view it at.

[/QUOTE] What I SAID was only 50% are "able to see it properly" - Surely it's MEANT to be seen without ANY lag or issues, and as the ppl above have mentioned, even the online poll rated 25% as having issues - which doesn't even include ppl like me who CAN"T EVEN CONNECT to get a vote in that pole at all = more than 2500 ppl who are not able to get a watchable stream.... this IS a problem!

XSplit broadcaster can simultaneously transmit to JTV, Ustream, Livestream etc. If Day9 has enough upload bandwidth he can do it to at least 2 and provide a backup..
