Seriously. The man provides what, 6k people +, _almost_ EVERY day with invaluable entertainment and education AND also casts during the weekends.
And you have WHAT complaint to make ?
Maybe it's tech issues, maybe he's just exhausted, MAYBE, JUST MAYBE, he wanted to dress as spiderman and web the shit out of his girlfriend / boyfriend / donkeyfriend without having people watch.
Day[9] provides a BRILLIANT service to the community. And is one of the most dedicated people I have ever seen in my life.
So, we'll get it when we get it. And meanwhile, we should all shut the fuck up about it in acknowledgement of how FUCKING AWESOME Day[9] is.
Tastosis-flavored GSL starting in a bit. There's something to fill our eyes.
Cheers.

This just means we have another week to submit for funday monday, I assume.

He doesn't get paid for this, he does it out of love. Don't give him hate. Yes MLG and ESL dont pay him at all xD that takes up a small amount of his time compared to dailies (which are daily hurr durr) it's not a job, just something he is doing for fun, give him a break, he isn't obligated to do anything for us and it's a privilege to have him dedicate 5 days of the week just out of loyalty to his fans Why are you yelling at me, i simply said he does get paid for casting, if you think that his dailies are part of his resume when he applies for these paid positions, or when people approach him and see his constant # of hits, im sorry that you dont understand basic economics. I dont care if he does a daily or not, but to claim he sees no monetary profit from it is a joke, he has a donation box and travels to tournaments to cast, im sure he makes more than most players do. No matter how much he gets paid, he gets paid far less than he deserves.

Day9 was pretty bummed that he he couldn't give last week's funday monday 100%, so I guess he doesn't want to do the same thing again. That's definitely fair and you guys should realise that he's doing this for you. I'm looking forward to next week's (hopefully) well rested Day9 Funday Monday. :D

I didn't dare to step into ffa this week because with a name like Akais, i was bound to be drone rushed every single game by 4 different people.

this isn't about economics, and yes i understand them very well. you, however, don't understand basic respect for some one doing a free service to the community, and no he isn't doing this for buffing up his resume for casting or for the money otherwise he would try to go cast in korea with Tasteless rather than scrounging around looking for different places to cast. he receives NO steady monetary profit directly from doing dailies, pointing out that he gets paid for MLG and ESL holds absolutely no bearing whatsoever on dailies

Please bring your eco lecture elsewhere. Noone here wants to learn about your understanding of basic economics. Also Day9 starts his daily not as a way so that he later can get casting job or sth, he started it because he loves starcraft. Try to understand before giving an eco lecture. It was a bit offensive.

Bummer, but no big deal. Stuff happens in the technical world.

All of you D9D zombies need to chill. If you can't understand why some people are disappointed/upset that they spent an hour waiting for something that never happened you probably don't have anything going on in your life that you are sacrificing to watch the daily. You are the ones who are raging the hardest when all we're asking for is a little "sorry guys, U Stream sucks a wang" or something. That being said, I'm sure he'll be duly disappointed and repentant tomorrow ;P Keep rockin' Sean.

if you are disappointed / upset about one daily then i'd say you are the one who has nothing going on in your life to be upset about a single daily being canceled

who is hating on day9?
If you can't read then I understand why you don't think this makes sense. I clearly said that I was disappointed/upset by the hour that I spent waiting.

As a grad student and Starcraft II admirer, I can honestly say that Day9 is such a gift to the community. Why do you ask? He's literally the smartest, most passionate guy in the community right now. And if one paid enough attention to what he actually says, they would understand that he gives more than 100% to anything he does with fans, dailies, etc.
To criticize Sean about a missed daily is irrefutably ignorant of what he does for you; and quite a bit selfish to add. I would suspect that most of you are "casuals" meaning that you don't really pay attention to what/how things are; you just want things "your way." Sure, it's okay to be a bit bummed that Sean isn't broadcasting for one day out of this week. But, it's not respectful to really anyone that someone throws a fit over it and starts (essentially) acting like a child.
If anything, fans, and the community have a lot to owe to Sean for what he's done for everyone: hundreds of dailies at his time/expense with a complete *free* archive, top-notch casting (which I can attest doesn't pave the way for a lucrative career *yet*) and his analysis; all completely free and made for you.

This is what I'm talking about. Nobody is throwing a fit except in jest. The only people raging are the people "defending" Day9. Y'all just want an excuse to throw jizz in his direction.
