I have lost interest watching the dailies long time ago after realizing that most of what he's saying is pretty easy to figure out by myself and also actually trying them out in ladder instead of watching it would make me better. However, I would like to watch him stream himself playing. Maybe he doesn't want to break his all-knowing image about the game by streaming, perhaps since he said he isn't that good? I don't know but anyway, it's quite annoying he refuses to stream himself play. Him not streaming is not a very big deal at all really :-/ On the latest state of the game he said he has been GM with all 3 races so obviously he is not that bad at the game but he also said with all the casting he has been doing, the dailys and other obligations of his he sat down and played some serious ladder in 4 or 5 months... I dont think its a big deal, why does it matter if he streams himself playing or not? About Day[9] not streaming his ladder games... I had a conversation with friends about it, and my theory on that is this: He earlier said that he is "terribly embarrassed" of his gameplay... Fine. My opinion is that he's modest (you can't achieve GM in 3 races and be THAT terrible! hehe!) I think that it's more the "official" reason of why he doesn't stream his ladder games.Of course, the time is also a big deal for him since the daily and tournaments to cast take most of it... But... For me, there's another reason why he doesn't stream his games. I was watching the stream of Megumi few days ago and she had problems with some players which were playing against her on ladder, but they were also watching her stream so they knew where she was, what units she was building, etc. and so they have beaten her easily because of that. I'm sure that Day[9] doesn't want to be caught in that kind of situation.

I'm sure that Day[9] doesn't want to be caught in that kind of situation. Now you mentioned the possibility of streaming ladder games once you are 'quote... unquote' "not embarrassingly terrible" Is there any ETA to this? I know a lot of people including myself are itching to watch you play. Maybe I have a different definition of embarrassingly terrible than other people . In my eyes, what allows a player to step up and achieve peak performance is his ability to identify flaws in his own gameplay. The best players excel at knowing the weakest aspects of their play. So unless I hate on my own gameplay regularly and aggressively, I feel like I am not getting anywhere. When you are casting replays of Code S players every day, you realize that there is a lot to be good at in this game! Right now, I have to stay the biggest thing holding me back from streaming play, is probably lack of time. That, and maybe carpal tunnel—my wrist goes out if I don’t limit my game sessions! http://www.team-dignitas.net/articles/news/Starcraft-II/673/Team-Dignitas-interviews-Day9 Methinks there's your answers in that (recent) interview!

That said, you could just be making me paranoid. Day[9] could have just streamed Skyrim for the enthusiastic reasons I thought he did. It's kind of a shame we have to doubt so much to keep our heads above the water in our modern life. On January 03 2012 10:51 Dexington wrote: I really doubt a company like Bethesda would contact Day[9] just to play his game. Yes, he has thousands of fans, but so do a lot of people. If they really wanted people to get into the game, they would probably contact someone who was actually famous and not just e-famous. they spend millions of $ for marketing and this is a new platform for marketing. and why would they pay a "STAR" much more when you can get day9 with 400k views for the release hype. also he said that Bethesda helped him out with the stream why would they do that? if they would not care of the product they paid for. but i dont rly care if or not i liked the skyrim/amnesia videos and i had a lot of fun watching them. if you dont like it then dont watch them. i rly can not understand how people can bitch about that.

I'm saying that if Day[9] uploaded them there would already be a place I could find it along with all the other daily reps but at least I know where to look now =D

Scumbag coolcor didn't mention that I streamed over 30 hours of SC2 on my stream over my End of Year break :X Dude, no way man every caster is losing their passion nowadays. JP lost his passion when Drewbie engaged Leah Jackson. Day9 lost his passion when he flat out refused to stream SC2 unlike every other big caster. Artosis lost his passion when he asked a guy not to sell a shirt that humiliated him. You lost your passion when you sold out to the corporate machine, aka Justin.tv. The whole world is going to hell in a handbasket man... Dude, the Incans were right! THE INCANS WERE RIGHT! This year is gonna be the end of the world! Obvious trolls are obvious ![]()
